Wifi at at Etihad is fuckin AMAZING 🤩 I knew we’d get twatted as soon as you posted this, your in built off hand confidence is very endearing but unlike any other NUFC supporter I’ve ever come across. I hope you didn’t get a valentines ride last night and that your hoverboard has run out of charge when you wanted to nip out for the bread and milk, ya cunt 😑8 points

See that’s the problem right there. People aren’t informed. Well that in itself isn’t the problem, much of the country isn’t well informed. When it becomes an issue is when these same people then form strong views without doing the tiniest bit of research as to whether their opinions are supported by any evidence.6 points

I've thought for a long time that the Man City fans I remember from moss side/Stockport must've largely gone the journey. I actually saw a camera view you don't normally see there just pre-game and I actually laughed as they were obviously about as Curley Watts as I am George Clooney. Can't take the piss though as we're not a million miles from it ourselves and what we lack now well gain very soon especially if we break our trophy duck. Modern football can suck my cock tbh. (Even the final in the toon 'booking' seats in normal bars? Get the the fuck out of here).5 points

Apart from the Arsenal 2nd leg, and Southampton away (who are utter crap), we’ve been shit at the back since Wolves at home, and were even shaky as fuck then. Aye we can write today off as we have as much joy there as we do at Wembley!! But letting Gundogan run the show isn’t good enough, and getting done time and again by a long ball from their keeper ffs, so we better wake the fuck up or our confidence, players and supporters, is gonna be lower than a rattlesnakes belly come the final. Aye I’ll keep the faith as always, but fuck me we’re better than that shit we showed today!5 points

And Fulham are 3 points behind us now This was the game we were supposed to have a real chance at once at their ground. I get what many of you are saying. City spent in January and we couldn't. The main reason we are stagnant is PSR, there's no debating that. But I think there also other things to be considered. They played a grueling game mid week against the champions of Europe. They also have many more injuries than us whereas we had a full weeks rest after playing a league one side. They are not as good right now as we made them look tonight and we can be so much better. We just didn't turn up today and that's so disappointing. Second to every ball, couldn't string two passes together, individual errors, no press, just nothing. When we're good we're fantastic and other times we look like a lower mid table team. You don't know which NUFC will turn up. For me the squad is not good enough for CL and we'll have overachieved again if we get it. 3 dismal defeats in 4 league games and two fixtures coming up that on current form we don't win Anfield will likely be another tonking anyway. Some of the mentality needs to be questioned, far too many times this season we just haven't turned up.5 points

I sat next to Brian Woolnough on a plane to London once. He was typing what I presume what an article. I had a quick glance at his screen and he made a big show of turning his laptop to 45degress like I was trying to copy his homework5 points

These are the same cunts that gave us Brexit and 14 years of Tory rule. And now we just have to dutifully walk/swim behind them, walking through the newly turboshit Britain that they've given their grandkids, having made out like gangsters throughout their own lives. We should ban the retired on here, I reckon. It would be a fitting ending, just Tom and Andrew left to turn out the lights eventually.5 points

I know you’ve posted this in jest, but I’m genuinely chuffed to bits with how switched on my two offspring are for their respective ages. They are absolutely more politically aware than most of their peers, firmly in the Leftist camp, mostly through parental indoctrination tbf, but they have questioned our stance many times and arrived at their own conclusion that, well, Mam and Dad are right Son is very much a lefty, has been since before he even knew what politics was, he’s just a lovely lad who cares about others being fairly treated. Daughter is an enigma, wrapped in an attitude of “ duuuh, Daaa-aaaad, I don’t caaare!”, but her every action is Leftist. She’s also, I’m almost 99% sure, barely closeted queer, she just hasn’t got to telling us yet, which gives her a natural pull towards the left too, I’d venture? The good thing is that it doesn’t seem that they’re particularly huge outliers amongst their peers either- undoubtedly there has been a growth in youth support of rightist wrongness, but I think that’s been artificially exaggerated. Most of their mates, the one’s we’ve met and chatted with, are thoroughly decent kids who, even if they don’t realise it yet, are as left as the Honourable Mr. Dennis Skinner. Point being, the next-but-one generation won’t be doing with this right wing bullshit if my two and their pals are even remotely typical of the feelings of their generation.5 points

Mrs. F. and I have been discussing this issue tonight, she has a degree in politics and is very switched on with regards to this, but is also as crazy as a bag of frogs, in general day-to-day matters. She’s worried that our son, who turns 15 this summer, might end up being called up to go to Ukraine as part of the peacekeeping force. I probably didn’t help by saying that if conscription was to be reintroduced, it wouldn’t just be for young lads. That would be discriminatory, and, in line with current armed forces practices, both male and female citizens of age would be called up. By “probably didn’t help”, I actually mean “Fuck me, I wish I’d just said , ‘nah, won’t happen’ instead of being honest” All this whilst gripping a rose between my teeth and helicoptering the Owld Fella to try and salvage some Valentine’s Day romance. Not happening tbh5 points

Zelensky must be absolutely chewing his own arsehole in frustration being made to deal with Vance at the Munich meetings rather than dealing with the pair of cunts in charge of the two countries fucking his nation. Vance, tonight, used his speech at Munich to spew the insanity of his overlords, claiming, amongst other shite, that Europe was responsible for the downfall of democracy since “If your democracy can be destroyed with a few $100,000 of digital advertising from a foreign country, then it wasn't very strong to begin with." That is in reference to Romania cancelling its electoions due to right wing interference via social media. If it wasn’t so fucking terrifying that this piss-poor middle management level cunt was coming out with this shite, it would be laughable. As said by others, America is no longer an ally… I’d go so far as to say it’s a hostile nation to Europe. Fucking mental how shit can change in a matter of weeks…5 points

They had a full inquiry in the early 2020s though mate. We can see the thing, we can read it. Labour have committed to carry out its recommendations and have deemed it a waste of public money to carry out another inquiry for the hell of it. The Tories failed, for some reason, to commit to any of the recommendations. Labour came in and immediately said they would. All this noise is a complete nonsense by right wing grifters trying to drag up the whole issue because Elon Musk is completely ignorant of all this and created a shit storm about it again. This first came out in 2012 for fuck sake. We know about it. Nothing was exposed by youtubers, nothing was covered up, all that has happened here is people who weren't paying attention a decade ago have been whipped into an outrage by manipulators.4 points

£50 over a handbag… Even if it is true, how does that compare to the last lot handing ££multi billion contracts to their pals, without even having to go through a standard bidding procedure? Remember- the lad getting a ferry contract for a company with zero experience of running a ferry business, mainly because they had no, not a single fucking one, ferries? Honestly, I hope it’s not true, but if it is, I hope she’s at least skinned it for a bag worth £150-£200.4 points

His speech was apparently met with total silence. He’s plainly too thick to realise the subtleties of human rejection, but it’s encouraging that our leaders in Europe, at the very least, have no qualms about treating him with the contempt he so utterly deserves.4 points

Does he think that team he played in could've kicked on from 8th IF Gazza and Goddard had been added to instead of sold? Did he wear that long curly perm he had early on as a bet? (I swear it went down to his arse from memory?) The only time I really fancied us to win the cup was when Wimbledon knocked us out and won it instead, did he witness Mirandinha kicking Dave Beasant up the arse after the game and how'd it go between them when we signed Beasant a few months later?4 points

Went with Ma Fist to the doc to get her results from the 24 tube in her stomach test. Very positive outcome- she’s finally got a diagnosis and, as a result, has been put on a course of treatment for it. Doc reckons it’s possible she’ll see improvement within 24hrs. She’s been diagnosed with Oesophageal Dysmotility- basically her Oesophagus has been going in to spasm, preventing most food from reaching her stomach. She’s so relieved to finally know what’s causing her bother, and have a treatment for it, she got a little emotional when he told her. Fingers crossed now.4 points

Interesting you mention federalism. Listening to Rory Stewart today on TRIP, he was saying that because the US is essentially federal in structure, he expects Trump's antics to cause chaos at the State level, with individual states refusing to pass his reforms. And of course Trump will have destroyed the legislative and judicial guard rails, well that works both ways. Basically he said everyone has the assumption that the authoritarian Trump will do what he wants, but in reality he could be taken down in a civil war. I mean Stewart has been very wrong before, not least about the US election, but I respect his opinions. I agree there could be long term benefits for Europe if it survives this period. We must never rely on the US again. Kick them the fuck out of our continent. But what worries me is the contagion they have caused, the rise of popularism. Things are looking very dicey in Germany, France, and the UK. Not to mention Italy, Hungary. I desperately want things to get better but it never seems to.3 points

I haven’t heard it but I’ve seen the reports and there can’t have been a more condescending speech by a senior US official to take place in Europe ever. It’s not that they care for what happens in Europe but it’s a clear declaration of US isolationism. The USA has spent at least half a century combatting Russia in one way or another and now that there is a real war to fight Trump is rolling over to them. He’s sacrificing European security as well as his own country’s reputation. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from this.3 points
