  1. Have the mackems retired Diallo’s shirt number yet?

  2. He’s not a natural finisher and his decision making obviously lets him down at times. But he does have good pace and work rate. His movement and the attacking positions is quite clever too and he makes a decent foil on the right did Gordon on the left. Ideally he’d be cover at best if we were a champions league side. We’re not though. He’s obviously going to be frustrating at times because of his deficiencies. But he’s a thoroughly likeable lad and it’s very pleasing when he puts in a performance like yesterday, for that reason

  3. Sorry Rents, they were a shambles, four nil flattered them but we also played really well, it can be both. That's not being a mackem that's being something mackem's aren't renowned for, it's being balanced and having some perspective. I can only assume either I haven't worded it right originally, (wouldn't be a surprise) or you've took it the wrong way if you assume I'm suggesting we only won as they were shite? Anyway, no harm done, I still love you.

  8. Exactly, the number of games he played last season when one yellow card away from a ban shows he can walk the yellow card tightrope. No way he makes that second challenge if he was already booked.

  10. He's also a Newcastle fan and seemingly one of the players who buoys the dressing room and keeps them switched on to the area. We need players like Murphy around the place.

  12. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of bias. The problem is that 90% of Sky pundits are from the same few clubs.

  13. Only Schar gets sent off for pretend headbutts. If you play for Man United, it's fine.

  14. Bruno only got the yellow for that challenge because it was so close to the dive and the ref clearly felt he’d dropped a bollock. Had Bruno been booked for diving he’s no where near that challenge on their player so it’s really a moot point that serves no purpose other than to highlight the biased viewpoints of the current crop of pundits.

  15. "There's definite contact, he's got every right to go down" is the usual line, no matter how light or inconsequential the contact.

  16. Aye, wanting a yellow for someone going down easy in the box. I can't remember the last time MOTD zeroed in on a "should he have been booked for diving" incident.

  17. Gary Lineker thinks it was a strange decision to send last man Andy Robertson off when the Fulham kid would've been clear on goal but reckons Bruno should've been off versus the team he supports for two yellows. Ok, Gary.

  18. Fair enough. I was there today and just think we played brilliantly start to finish. Leicester didn't set out to look poor, in actual fact their fans were in good fettle. They weren't a bad team. We just clicked and blew them away. Mackems often portray our successes due to our opponents weaknesses. Today we fucked Leicester, they couldn't stop us. And I loved it. I think we should give ourselves more credit sometimes.

  22. enormous empathy for very early 80s liverpool and its inhabitants. not any more, despise the cunts. while areas like the north east, huge swathes of wales as well as a shit loads of the south east outside the stockbroker belt have managed to largely deal with the shit hand they've been dealt, these cunts can't wait to wallow in self pity and bore every fucker to tears about how hard done by they are. as regards liverpool fc.... they ransacked and looted their way round europe, 'jibbing' in to football grounds until they were totally responsible for the death of 32 Italians, 4 belgians, 2 french and 1 from northern ireland. they then set about blaming every fucker else but themselves for this, and still do. fucking laughable these cunts think they're some kind of guardians of footballing morality, sitting in judgement of the supporters of abu dhabi and saudi fc.... they're blood soaked murdering cunts whose club should've been permanently kicked out of football in 1985.

  27. That’s what they’re performing. I wouldn’t say I really dislike it but it’s ‘mam disco’ if you like. On this particular performance I also liked how the lead singer moves almost exactly like my lass when she’s had too many Proseccos

  31. I thought the Bruno two yellows ‘debate’ was fucking laughable
    3 points
  32. You see many similar obvious yellows go unpunished when going down in the box, far more than get punished so as gemmill says, strange to highlight it especially as they always say they're up against what they can show because of limited time?

  33. How many times do you see motd, or sky, do a 'coulda, woulda, shoulda' on something like that for something similar in a 4-0 home win for say, Man U or Liverpool? What makes me laugh is it's about ten minutes after his Robertson comment earlier on for as straight forward a red as you'll see.

  35. Getting back to sky, yesterday I put the Saturday gimp show on to see the other results just as they were interviewing van dick and then the Fulham manager straight after. As I said yesterday, the interviewer and vvd are basically chatting about how resilient Liverpool are and how the kid who scored for Fulham MIGHT have been sent off before he scored? It then pans straight the Silva interview and he won't stop pressing Silva about it who then asks if he wants to talk about the rest of the game? It goes back to the studio where they stick up for the interviewer saying he's got to ask those questions, not the first time I've heard them say that through the years but it's always after they've given someone who isn't a Ferguson, isn't a Wenger, isn't a Klopp etc a bit of a difficult interview, (wemember Woy?) Football loves an underdog but the likes of sky definitely don't like upsetting their main 'talents' who they showcase most weekends.

  40. They were fucking dogshit like. Nothing wrong with stating the obvious. Turns out there are some easy games in the PL. However, we’ve dropped points against teams just as bad this season - Everton spring to mind. Today we took our chances. Missed a fair few as well mind but there was only ever one team in it. I loved our first goal. Sweet move from a corner right off the training ground. Tonali was a beast. He has to keep his place at DM. Gordon was back to his scintillating best. Hall was class, yet again. And I was impressed by Osula’s cameo. He should get more minutes off the bench. We’re going to need him now Wilson is crocked.

  41. His celebration for the first goal was unusually aggressive, shouting "WHAAAT?!" at the crowd. Wonder if he's been reading some shite about himself online.
    2 points
  42. And that's the thing, we haven't been beating the shite we should be turning over. Better effort all round, Tonali should be starting 11 when fit and when Gordon puts in that effort, there isn't a better LW in the league. The local Newcastle also won 4-0 today and they couldn't buy a goal before last night either, must be a Christmas miracle.
