I went for a haircut a bit earler and he asked me if it was snowing "up my way" I replied I jusr lived around the corner - fuck knows why he thought I'd travel 300 miles south for a trim.6 points

I’m out down the Fish Quay for an all day session, weather be damned. I’m like an Ice Road Trucker but instead of driving through the elements to deliver motorcycle parts to Alaskans, I’m fighting through wind and rain in a quest for a decent Guinness4 points

Drove through a full-on blizzard this morning at about 3 - from south of Nottinghamshire to Durham. Snow was hitting the screen faster than the wipers could clear it. No broken bones though.4 points

We need a long term replacement for Schar, and Howe thinks that's Guehi. Guehi's price is coming down, with 18 months left on his contract, and the summer was probably Parrish's last big chance to take the piss on price - he did just that, but he went too far. In a PSR world, I don't think they can afford to let him just run his contract down and go for nowt, so I think we'll be back at the table in Jan.3 points

Southgate was in awe of him, afraid to drop or sub him during the euros when he wasn’t performing. That was a massive problem. But it wasn’t the only reason Southgate got it wrong - the midfield balance and left back issue plagued him all tournament too. Plus he was far too cautious and reactive when he has players available to play a front foot game.3 points

Extra time equaliser for Millwall. Oh dear, still not a bad result, all things considered. Still time for their weekend to be ruined - on Monday.2 points

I’m not sure who you’re arguing with. He’s clearly still a great goal scorer. I don’t think anyone disputes that. He is just a footballer however and if he isn’t performing he should be rested or rotated - just like any other player2 points

The latest press conference from Eddie confirming once again that Ryder is Ryder and Simon Bird is still a cunt.2 points

I don't get why we would we sign Guehi when Botman and Lascelles will be coming back? Especially since Palace dicked us around to the point we wasted all our time and missed out on other targets. Plus won't Guehi's stock have fallen considerably (haven't seen any Palace games though)? In January I think we will be targetting a permanent right winger, and a striker on loan with option to buy. That's based on nothing at all, so basically pulled out of my arse like this Guehi rumour. However I think Mitchell will want to bring in 2 first team players to make up for his abject summer failure.2 points

He’s still a great goal scorer and has lots to offer the England squad. I don’t think he should remain England captain. He’s a lot like Shearer was at the end of his career. Not the most mobile and should be rotated and rested against certain opposition depending on how England set up.2 points

It's that time of the day when most of TT stop posting while they get ready to go home after a hard day browsing on here and elsewhere. Roy Castle's 'dedication' could've been written for you and your laser focused determination to do a hard days work for your employer. I salute that absolute dedication and look forward to you posting on here in the house later on when you get bored after your tea or something and your lass starts talking shite to you.2 points

I have*. Plus a science degree, masters and a PhD. Ive played my career hand fucking apallingly though. *It's prec;linical medical degree, not a full one, so I have never practised. meeting patients like Gemmill put me right off front facing stuff. Although, ironically, I did do two attachments in orthopaedics and gained just enough knowledge to know what a fucking fracture is.2 points

That would be fair, in the truest sense of the word - which is exactly why it would never be afforded to us. This whole thing is about stopping the gate crashers not enabling them. How dare Nottingham Forest and Villa (both objectively and historically bigger clubs than Spurs) show a shred of ambition - and don't get me started on those state owned bastards in the north east.2 points

Exactly. Where's our free pass?. At the very least, in recognition of the PSR credit these other teams have been handed, there should be a one time adjustment applied to the upcoming PSR calc of all the clubs who aren't benefiting this free pass on shareholder loans. Make it the average of the interest avoided for the last three years or something.2 points

Is that one of the changes? I've been struggling to find a decent article that actually describes the changes that have gone through. If so, yeah that's better, but all they have to do is not make any further loans. Their existing loans, some of which are significant will continue to just not be factored into calculations.1 point
