Disappointing draw for them today but their biggest game of the weekend is tomorrow anyway5 points

What's funny here is that they think Coventry are some type of nemesis. Coventry, however, are unaware of this.5 points

This thread has had me in stiches. Making stuff up and getting annoyed about it at it's finest. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/mourinho-wants-mags-job-if-howe-leaves.1643988/ "He is a busted flush. I am all for it. Followed by the Saudis getting bored moving on to Spurs and financially crippling them. League one could do with them in for a year or two." "He’s been nailed on for it since the Saudis arrived. He’s even started his exit strategy in Turkey" "Every game will be 90 mins of hissy fits followed by 6 days of infamy infamy" "Oh god can you imagine the press conference? ‘Who are sunderland?’ Or some shit cheesey line to get their thick fanbase on board." "Be great him falling out with Isak or Bruno G-String"4 points

There can’t be many places left in North Tyneside that HMHM hasn’t done a quick shift in. I’ll see you in my place after Christmas, mate4 points

84 year old Nancy Pelosi has turned on 81 year old Joe Biden, blaming him for the election loss. There should be an upper age limit for politicians. Fucking dickheads.3 points

There needs to be retrospective bans for stuff like that. Also, it’s great to see Real Madrid struggling3 points

Stupidly ordered a football shirt from a British online shop for 65 quid. Wife had to pay an extra 18 Euros in taxes to the courier. Thank you CT, you tosspot.3 points

Other than a home spanking in 1988 I just associate Coventry with routine 4-0 home wins in the PL whereas to Sunderland.......2 points

in the home end loads of times over the years, not always with the best of intentions as a young man easily led astray. probably one of the most memorable was a cup game against forest. coach load of us tanked up after a boisterous afternoon in the olde trip to jerusalem decided it would be a good idea to go in the trent end smack bang in the middle of the miners strike. burst in to a chorus of geordie's aren't scabs, fuckers are all scattered until they realised there was only about 40 us.... I've never been so pleased to see the police in all me life! got an escort round the side of the pitch to the away end and a proper ear bashing of brian clough, never clipped any of us mind, think he saved the slaps for his own supporters!2 points

I've sat in the home end at Bolton, Sunderland and Wigan iirc. The Sunderland game was where Kieran Richardson scored a screamer. Never again. I think the bloke in that interview nails the bit about the flawed ballot though. The club can get fucked if it thinks I'm paying £37 to chuck my name in a hat when they refuse to say how big the hat is or how many names are in it. (Probably because they know half of the members would then cancel)2 points

As traitors go Garland is up there right beside Trump . If the DoJ (& the FBI) wasn’t riven with placemen cunts such as him then Trump wouldn’t be near a ballot slip, he’d be behind bards. Trump has bought them all. When he assumes power this process will accelerate at an eye watering rate. Congress & senate will need to pass a lot of it, have they got the balls to stand up to him? Maybe, but the SCOTUS don’t answer to anyone…2 points

You're not wrong. And wtf is happening to football when you start playing games on a Saturday at eight o'clock at night, man? Having looked at the fixtures I also noticed there's a bit of a grudge match in the lower leagues not too far away......2 points

This reminds me of Adrian Mole aged 13 3/4, when his parent divorced and they were arguing who would NOT have custody over the kid. I mean Jesus Christ, he's been given weekends, he's "won". She does all the mundane shit and he does all the fun stuff. Tbh he sounds like an absolute arseclart.2 points

The list is long and they’ll all escape punishment. Trump was born on the 14 June 1946, less than a year after WW2 ended. In a decade he has obliterated what was left of what we in this country loosely termed “post war certainties” … virtually the only thing left (jobs for life, good healthcare and decent pensions were jettisoned decades ago) was democracy and accountability. That’s finally gone in the US and that will very likely disappear in this country too 😞1 point

Only time I've been in the home end for one of our games was at Goodison not far from where the current away end is, (back then we had the whole end behind the goal before it got pulled down). I celebrated like mad as we were scored two goals and won without conceding. The complete and utter apathy from the home fans probably saved a slightly drunk me from a hiding as there were empty seats all over that section, the crowd was only 25,000 and a good few thousand of those were in the sold out away end hence me being where I was. I wasn't chased down the street nor even out of the ground but it obviously never happened whenever I've mentioned this to a younger Everton fan.1 point

I'm just saying the data is 14 years old, before the modern age of autocracy and popularism. The author has made the assumption the data could have only moved one way. Do you really think this is reasonable? Edit: And, sorry, haven't you previously posted about the rise of angry young men, incels etc, or was that someone else?1 point
