What a wanker. Apart from the gentle reminder what insufferable cunts a lot of our fanbase are, what the fuck was club meant to do in the meantime? You could just imagine their reaction if the club had gone mental and been heavily penalised. It’s not exactly beyond the realms of possibility that the club has played a blinder by staying within the regulations so far. And are much better set as a result. Still I’m sure they got plenty likes for it (which is what really motivates these nonentities imo)8 points

Likewise. Having worked in financial services my entire career (I use the term career very loosely), while it may take up of half of my time, it certainly isn’t half my life. I have next to no emotional attachment to work aside from the visceral hatred of some of the arseholes I have to work with.7 points

As a man that has worked in financial services since 2007, I cannot relate to these principles, but I respect you for having them.7 points

Good luck with the job interview. Absolutely none of my business but taking a pay cut to move to a different career ladder seems like a mental decision at your age? Is your job going to cease to exist or something? Is this out of necessity? You're never gonna make it as a dancer BTW. Forget it.7 points

I got 19/20 right on an online vocabulary test yesterday, which was a shame because 20/20 puts you in the top 1%. I didn't know what "obloquy" meant. Your posts should be consigned to obloquy.7 points

Same with Liverpool fans. Who regard him as some sort of honourable socialist, saviour. To tie in with their own blinkered vision of the club itself. Which also, of course, couldn’t be further from the truth7 points

Ok, got the Skoda Enyaq on Monday and after a few days here's my quick impressions: Driving. It's a tremendous drive, different modes you can put it in, I choose eco but it's very nippy but smooth. The driver seat 'remembers' where you set it so when you turn the car off it automatically moves back and when you switch the car on it moves to the driving position. There's that much stuff it'll take me a while to work out what there is, but the boot opening and closing by itself is a nice Brucie's bonus but the biggest bonus is the cost of running it. I've worked out it would cost me around £5.50 to fill it from empty to full and that would realistically give me around 300 miles give or take. (I got the octopus EV smart tariff sorted).6 points

It's taken a panel of former judges and a proper legal process to arrive at the judgment that the rules are unlawful as well. To which this dickhead's response is "OMG they're UNLAWFUL! WHY have you been following these rules, you FUCKING NERDS!"6 points

The club were backing Man City all the way, and probably provided plenty of their own evidence of the dodgy APT rules as one of the chief witnesses against the PL. The whole time they were playing by the rules they were conspiring to destroy them, short term vs long term thinking - they absolutely nailed the approach, and it cannot be spun to say anything different. In short, the twitter lad is a complete divvy.5 points

No, its absolutely driven by choice. In fact, I am very likely to be promoted to a higher level here imminently, and there is a Newcastle office. But your work is half your life, there is no getting round that, so if you're unsatisfied or unhappy, its important to rectify that. I've tried over 3 years working in the commericial sector, and ateod, I can't really stomach the bullshit in the Pharma industry. There, I've said it. The ghost written manuscripts etc., lack of recognition, covering mistakes, constantly focussed on how much money we can make. It's just not me, believe it or not I want to work in public service despite less pay and worse conditions. It's not a different career ladder though (I know I said that), just a different "side" (think CPS vs. private barristers as an example). I have confidence I can achieve promotion to my present level within 2 years, and I will be adding on to my 20 years of NHS pension. Aim to retire in 10 years. 👍5 points

See, this is like CT's telly. Give it a month, you'll not notice the auto-adjusting seats and boot opening, they will be taken for granted. Until the next time you get in a normal car, and then you'll moan like fuck. Hope this helps.4 points

Was up at 5ish his morning, checked the weather app before my trip to London, bleary eyed saw the Hurricane Force Wind warning and immediately messaged the boss to say I wouldn't be getting the train down. She replied at 6ish saying not to worry and make sure I've expensed the tickets. I've already got the money back from work for the tickets, and I've now had my refund request approved by Trainline. So I'm now not travelling for 4hrs, for a solitary 1hr meeting, in London. And I'm £110 up on the day. All because at no point did either my boss or I think that maybe 13,508mph winds are unlikely.4 points

Because the job is advertised as hybrid working, which is location dependent (Manchester). I don't think the NHS will pay my commute, no matter how far. Should have the option to change contract to homeworking after the probation period. Anyway, I'm willing to do it despite it also being a huge pay cut, cos I'm on the wrong career ladder at the moment. I'm also probably over qualified so will probably be refused on that basis anyway.3 points
