The right of kings to start the match thread comes with the responsibility for performance. This is on you. So is the transfer window. And the 2008 economic crash. And John Lennon being shot. And post colonial decline in the UK etc etc Barnes was taken off because he was playing as if he was devoid of energy. No good saying Fab should’ve took pen. If he’d missed same folk would’ve said “BUT GORDON SCORED LAST WEEK V MAN CITY MAN!!!” We played fairly well including the subs. We didn’t create hatfuls of chances but a fit striker would’ve probably seen us win. The reluctance to give Osula the last 10 mins to get on the end of something is strange. Happy with sixth, 8 league goals is a concern…8 points

But for his finishing, I thought Gordon was great tbh. He looked back to his sharpest, and properly up for the scrap.6 points

Sky's guide to allocating co-commentators: Does the game involve one of the red cartel? A. Neville or Carragher will do it. Does the game not involve any of the red cartel? A. Smith, Hinchcliffe or whoever we've got in our pool that day. What if it's Everton? A. Carragher4 points

Our passing has been shite whatever the stats say. Not long balls or intricate passing but we’ve fucked up far too many routine passes this season.4 points

Woke up just as the 2nd half was starting. Should’ve had a lie-in THE SCENE- a woman hovers in the doorway of a home in London, just after her husband hears the full time whistle … HRH Mrs. Gloom- “ What was the score then dear?” HRH The King -“ It was a draw pet, 2 weeks until my next match thread… Long Live The King!” The woman melts back to the kitchen and sits down…4 points

Time to retire "The King" and go again with someone better equipped after the international break btw. 3 games, 1 win vs L2 opposition. He's Ten Hag.4 points

As has been said, the striker situation is costing us points. It's as simple as that. Yesterday would've been the perfect game for Wilson who can handle himself, you could've brought Isak on to replace him if we were winning or subbed someone else off and played them both together if we were chasing a goal. We're stuck this season unless we get a striker in January or Wilson does a Lazarus. Flogging Isak every game as the main CF isn't helping his game or sharpness.3 points

He was playing as a striker, he’s supposed to score goals.3 points

And yet he somehow did. It's almost as if you're completely wrong.3 points

Imagine having teaching experience and yet not being able to get a job as a teacher in 2024, with chronic staffing shortages. He's obviously got an absolutely stinking reputation around his local education authority. I wonder if he's ever had a job that he hasn't been a complete waster at.3 points

Pretty sure the Tories were always big on the unemployed retraining for available jobs, surely he should be practicing what he preaches? Unless he's just a massive fucking hypocrite of course3 points

precisely this. howe pissed me off yesterday to he honest, we dominated the game but couldn't hit a fucking cows arse with a banjo, had a million corners and still failed to test the mackem cunt at all. completely fail to see why when you pay £15m for a young 3rd striker you'd not use him in these circumstances when the other 2 fuckers are missing. we brought on 4 subs and left the k8d sat n his arse all afternoon. very much 2 points chucked away and our record away from home continues to be woeful.3 points

Funny thing about Gullis is that he was clearly shite at the grift. So he basically sold his soul for nothing. Also, he’d be the first person criticising people for having kids they can’t afford3 points

Nine times out of ten, Bruno’s shot hits the defenders heel and goes in, should have known then that it wasn’t our night. No goals from open play for the king, what a tedious reign.3 points

Some of our players look like they’re never happy with the ball at their feet but I’d wager our passing accuracy is so low because we play a lot of balls forward to try and set people away or break lines. High risk, high reward and all that and I’d rather lose it in their half than ours3 points

Joelinton looked like he was getting back to himself yesterday. I'm wondering if the deep state has been feeding us all alternative streams. Did anyone have one where we won?2 points

If Pope had a good game but let in a howler that costs us two points you say would say he had a stinker. Gordon had that game as a cf yesterday2 points
