  6. Shout out to AbsoluteKazakh btw, who joined on 1st August 2008, started this thread on 7th August 2008, and hasn't been seen since 17th August 2008. Police are appealing for witnesses. He lives on in this thread and in our hearts.

  8. Totally agree that you can't have coppers behaving like this, and you can't set a precedent of saying that it's fine because there are a load of knobs in the coppers that will start trying to test the boundaries of what's ok. We've got enough that are already doing things that are the wrong side of OK anyway. But I hope the two lads on the video that decided they'd kick fuck out of some coppers get the book thrown at them. And also fuck their ambulance chasing, race war stoking, domestic violence supporting, Andrew Tate admiring lawyer - the one that ran against Shabana Mahmood in Birmingham and thought he'd win cos he had a big tiktok following. Prick.

  16. Kicking someone in the head with size 10 boots on is fucking stupid. Can easily cause brain damage, death, huge ongoing medical and litigation issues. Should have kicked him in the nuts.

  18. Watched the Daley Thompson one (also well worth a look), the Linford one is on the watch list and I'm sure we'll get to it before the athletics start, i.e. once we get bored of watching random judo and rowing heats, i.e. possibly very very soon.

  19. A lot of people would’ve done a lot worse than what that copper did if you’d just seen a fella chin a couple of female colleagues. That doesn’t make it ok, as we expect high standards from people in that sort of position in this country. But I hope the lad he did it to gets serious prison time. As he absolutely deserves it.

  20. @Meenzer have you seen the Linford Christie doc on iPlayer? Highly recommended for anyone but I know Meenz is a track and field geek. Christie was a hero of mine growing up. I was a good sprinter / district schools 100 and 200m winner when I was a kid. Not that I was ever talented or committed enough to make it but it was another reason I looked up to him. I think him holding the World, European, Commonwealth and Olympic titles all at the same time is arguably the greatest achievement by any British sportsperson, let alone athlete. Given how competitive the 100m is. I don’t want to spoil the documentary by talking about it too much but the lack of funding and support along with the shoddy treatment he’s received, racism he’s had to confront etc. throughout his whole career and since he’s retired is just fucking awful really. Also, it really comes across just how much the athletes he coached like Darren Campbell and Katherine Merry love and respect him

  22. Yes. And the copper will go down too. It’ll be a “cause celebre” in the more cuntish parts of our media and he’ll end up being a low rent martyr to the fact averse and the easily led. My cousin’s fellah is an armed copper in Mancyland ( @thebrokendoll met him before we played Man City last season, my cousin accused him of not sounding like a Geordie 🤣) and they’re pretty much resigned to their colleague’s fate. All they generally do at the airport is escort pissed passengers off planes. Cousins fellah’s team have been moved to another assignment now but he knows the lass with the broken nose really well. As you can imagine, every copper in Manchester is fuckin fuming.

  24. We should just be thankful that they're able to channel their energy into making up stories about policing the wearing of mag tops. If they didn't have this outlet, we'd be getting kicked to fuck left, right and centre on Britain's streets. There'd he nowhere safe for a mag to show its face.

  26. Read it before. Great read but might have another go at it, as it was a while ago. My personal take is they were all at it so their achievements stand, if you know what I mean. Carl Lewis was too. And he was the most self righteous cunt out of everyone. That said, I was absolutely inspired any him as a kid because of his achievements in ‘84.

  30. Robson did a talk at a local club recently and a few mates went. Said he was good value, quite interesting about Man U under Atkinson and England in the 80s. They also said that they counted that he drank between 12 and 16 bottles of Budweiser whilst doing his Q & A I think reading between the lines over the years that he’s possibly always been a (very high) functioning alcoholic..

  31. Other than shagging one of sky sports presenters in the 90s whilst at Boro and being known for liking a pint you don't hear too much about Robson whilst shilton is a well known gammon/Brexit/'woke' obsessed Tory cunt so was amusing reading this.

  32. It's be great just to get Nufc Twitter to stop melting down everytime Minteh beats a man. I know the Euros or structural changes at the club haven't helped, but we've definitely left our dealings late this time. This was supposed to be the summer we got the squad in good order. We'll get a couple in still hopefully but most take weeks or months to adjust to Howe's regimen so not ideal.

  36. The one thing that concerns me more than anything about this, is that the copper who had a punt at the bloke is from the armed division. They, more than any other coppers, are meant to be trained in staying cool and making the right decisions quickly in stressful situations. Whatever else he may or may not be guilty of, he’s guilty of not following his training, which should be a worry for those running the armed division. As someone said earlier, at least it was only a boot, not a bullet.

  37. True. I'm not defending it fwiw. But I can understand why it happened. If you stitch the 2 videos together there was about 5 seconds between the copper getting sucker punched multiple times (and probably fearing his gun might be grabbed), the other bloke hitting the ground and then the copper giving him a boot. I don't suppose it was a pre meditated kick, but the law is the law. Be interesting to see how it plays out in court.

  38. Aye, like it or not police have to be held to a standard where kicking a tased man, lying face down on the floor in the head is unacceptable regardless of whats happened prior. You're not there as a an officer to deal out punishment as you see fit and if you decide to do that you should be prosecuted for it. The americans have constantly let shit like this go and thats how you end up with a george floyd, breona taylor or sonya massey. Its controversial and newsworthy if officers are punished for these actions. It shouldn't be, it should be expected.

  39. The bloke was subdued when he kicked him so it was payback rather than part of the arrest and not part of his training. I also think anyone who stamps on someone's head should be charged with attempted murder - it's an ansolute scum move.

  40. Just seen the video there. I'm not certain anyone deserves to be booted in the face or have their head stamped on, but if anyone ever did, it was that kid. By the time it happened, he'd put two (I think) female coppers on the floor with punches to the face, and had ran over and laid into a male officer who had already been set upon by his mate. Little cunt.

  43. Party politics are wholly separate from the Constitution, which makes no mention of parties because they didn’t exist at the time and Washington argued that parties would only divide the country. There’ll be some deadline set by each individual state (because the Constitution delegates elections to the states) as to who’s going to appear on the ballots there, and as long as those requirements are met, the parties could chop and change their nominees every day if they wanted to. Earlier there was a question about VPs that I can answer - if the VP assumes the presidency for a period of two years or less, it doesn’t count as a term for term limits purposes, but if it’s more than 2 years, it does. If Biden resigned today, Harris would be considered to be merely serving out his term, not one of her own, so she could still run for the full 8 years.
