What else has changed? Are you serious? Isak, Botman, Tino, Tonali, Bruno, Gordon, Barnes, Isak, Hall, training ground completely revamped, a cup final, getting into the champions league, massively improving our sponsorship deals, a new fan park, Adidas as a sponsor, an Amazon documentary, buying kids we can sell for £35mil, one of the best managers in the league, turning Joelinton and Schar into world beaters....but aye, apart from that nowt has changed8 points

The whole business is ridiculous and taking a lot of joy out of football for me. It’s ok trying to stop clubs just "buying" success, but basically forcing clubs with enough money to sell players just to comply with arbitrary regulations is plain bollocks. So we need to sell a prodigy like Anderson or an untried talent like Minteh in time of an arbitrary deadline just to probably be able to spunk absurd money on another player in the upcoming weeks. That’s without thinking about us needing to consider to sell untouchable assets to big six rivals. I am done with this. I unfollowed all journalists and won’t care about transfers. I will see what players will be there in August and then hopefully start to enjoy watching matches. But there is no excitement left thinking about how we will build a decent squad.7 points

I would have thought that the most convenient solution would be selling a player like Almiron to a Saudi club. No doubt the hypocrites in the media would go off it. But we’ve largely avoided doing it so far. ASM was sold at market value (arguably below) and plenty other clubs have done similar. Something like £25m would not be too far off. Transfermkt has him at €20m. I’m sure a club that isn’t owned by PIF could be ‘persuaded’ just to make it all look above board. Two years there and he could go home absolutely loaded5 points

It's a fucking joke that has to boilover eventually. However we've come out of it OK IMO. Anderson is hardworking and talented and whilst it sucks to see him go he'd have been unlikely to have got much playing time this season unless we were hit with a similar injury crisis to last season (perhaps worse because Tonali is back). He hasn't yet realised the potential he has shown and would have been unlikely to with limited time on the pitch. Minteh, it would have been great to bring him in, exactly why you try to sign and develop the best and brightest youth talent but not to be. We have to ride out a few more seasons like this but as our profile grows and our youth investment continues we'll find ourselves able to sell more effectively with less impact on the first team. And anyone we sign will be youngish and on lengthy contracts.5 points

I’ve always said he is average. You’ve flip flopped from wanting him in the England team to being worse than Billy Askew. i just don’t criticise him for every bad pass in a game. He actually tries his best and was clearly playing through an injury last season. Overall though he needs replacing alongside Almiron. I suspect the entire fan base knows this though.4 points

I’m only seeing the highlights now but I don’t see how either decision is controversial. Offside is offside and whether it’s an inch or a mm it’s offside. With the penalty he had his hand out beyond his body and that’s a penalty by today’s laws. Nothing controversial at all imo. Full disclosure: I have Germany in the sweepstake.4 points

Get Kane off now btw. He's clearly not fit, and making him do 120 minutes is not gonna help.3 points

I’ve noticed Mainoo, who is clearly one of top 3 players on the planet , hides a lot when our centre halves have the ball and takes up positions where he can’t receive the ball. I actually quite like him btw, but I’ve noticed that today and he’s massively overrated3 points

I’m of the opinion that the likes of the Gordon and Isak transfer stories were negotiating tactics so that Forest and Brighton didn’t think they were the only shows in town. Whether it’s true or not it helps me sleep a bit easier.3 points

68m for them two is actually mental money. We’ve arrived lads, we’re caning it in for our youth prospects Man City and Chelsea style. Also nailed on Anderson gets his first PL goal against us. Nailed on, I say.3 points

Aye. What a shit statement. I’m sure the club are fully aware of the risk and consequence of the strategy. We aren’t the Venkys.3 points

So stupid that having already qualified for the knockout rounds that he didn't rotate the squad for nothing less than giving players legs a break. He's an over cautious dogmatic management dinosaur. Any other country would have long severed ties with him, I really can't see why they haven't.3 points

he was robbed of a perfectly legitimate header by VAR wasn’t he? The other thing killing the game3 points

Miley aside, that's our 2 brightest young players been sold in the same day. I appreciate they both offer the biggest profit, but still feels like a sad day when they likes of Targett, Almiron, Wilson, Trippier, Hayden, Longstaff, Ashby, Krafth etc are still here (for now)3 points
