4-0 by half time. Ten Slag to have a cardiac issue and black out, Rashford to tea bag him and draw a massive cock on his forehead before any paramedics can get near him.4 points

fuck that, we're smashing these cunts. 4-1, with a brucie bonus of tripper shanking a free kick so high, it ends up taking down the crumbling roof of the stretford end3 points

Deputy for Schar in Tosin, I reckon. Big lad, good in the tackle, good range of passing, not slow (just takes a while to get going). Kelly is versatile and a good squad defender, upgrade on Targett for sure. If we can fill two spots in the squad for (relative) peanuts, that means we can focus the funds on the more expensive areas like RW and CF. I'd still like a better deputy 'keeper who is more comfortable with the ball at his feet (or at least more brave in coming out to sweep up as Pope is) and I still think we need depth at fullback. I also like the fact that it looks like we're doing some business early. Longer to bed them in, longer time on the training ground, better chance of them hitting the ground running. Also means we can focus more intently on deals that are perhaps more complicated to get over the line.3 points

Almiron is useful, and that's kind of the problem. He's fast but doesn't time his runs brilliantly, he's decent technically but not great, he can finish but doesn't do it consistently, he harasses opponents well and is busy. But all of that while useful, isn't enough for a team with lofty ambitions. Longstaff, Burn, Krafth, Lascelles, Dubravka, Murphy, Targett are all in the same bracket, for me. That said, I love him, even if he does look like a kid who's never had a bedtime, but if some Saudi club flashes £25-30m for him we should sell. The frustration for me is that while Barnes and Gordon can play on the right, neither are at their most effective there. Minteh looks good, but it's the Dutch league so who knows? I don't think Almiron is the reason we drew the game, the whole attacking unit were off their game and he at least injected some impetus.3 points

Funny how it was SJP under Ashley fuck all was said. Plus it was during a torrential thunderstorm but let's leave that fact out that the gutters were just overwhelmed eh?3 points

'Tinpot club' as the young fans of certain football clubs might say.3 points

Fair enough, personally I’m happy to give the players and Howe etc an applause of appreciation for, if nothing else, giving most of us something to smile about and a bit hope. As for the owners, same goes, for getting that useless piece of shit out of the club eventually, and showing a smidgeon of ambition. Their earnings are irrelevant to me, just as bands etc I go and see and also applaud out of appreciation for making me feel good. But like someone once said, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one!3 points

A draw means we finish above them for the first time. Absolutely crucial to show these cretins their new place in the food chain. I fully expect us to lose to a Casemiro 30 yard strike though.2 points

Chelsea are apparently selling even more property back to themselves and it's perfectly within the rules. Let's keep Isak, Bruno and Gordon and just sell ourselves our own stadium and training ground2 points
-
Think of the headlines/non-NUFC pundits trying to sell our players to make their ex-clubs better? Isak is off to arsenal so I'm hearing from ex-arsenal players or fans like Darren Bent or people like Henry Winter, Lineker, (more on the wind up to Shearer TBF) touting him to Chelsea now people are hearing about apparent interest from Liverpool for Gordon? I'd be surprised if nobody was interested in Gordon, Isak or Bruno for the reason they're quality players and not only would it strengthen them it would also make us weaker and be one less team to worry about. Selling your best players even for a good wedge doesn't usually work out for the best and trust me, a lot of us on here can vouch for that!2 points

Far too early to be that optimistic about him IMO. Antony bossed the Dutch league, and the only thing he's battered since arriving in blighty is his missus.2 points

It's just the same dumb top down thinking, if someone isn't sitting in an office they can't be as productive, can they?! I know when I was at Royal London at the beginning of the first lockdown we found that productivity actually went up, and people were more likely to be online for longer hours too. In my new role I've maybe been in the office 5 times in 3 years. The same is true across my team and many of the other teams I deal with. There's zero appetite from middle management and below for a return to the office. Of course the Ops managers and people who sign the cheques for the giant buildings are keen to have bums on seats, but frankly beyond some meeting spaces I'm not sure what the justification could be?2 points
