I think KD made the point about Jacob Murphy’s versatility, which I think makes him a more valuable squad player than Miggy. Although I think half decent bids for either / both sees them leave. We knew when the takeover happened there were a few who wouldn’t be around too long. It’s massive credit to the likes of Almiron and Murphy how much they’ve been involved, given the demands made by the manager. Whatever their limitations they both give absolutely everything7 points

“ Holy Goodnight” ” Is she havin’ a laugh?” Top commentary from @ewerk there, to be sure x2, so it is.4 points

Disappointing result as we really should have knacked these diving shites but it's the games against Luton, Bournemouth and Everton that have cost us this season - 1 from 6 in all those. Had we picked up 6 points from each of those we'd be comfortably in 4th right now. On the plus side, we've scored in every home game which is one for the record books I think.4 points

If/when we peddle Miggy, he goes with my best wishes tbh. Clearly not quite up to scratch now, but he’s one of those lads I can’t help but like. If his skill matched his effort he’d be a world beater, but it doesn’t. Best of luck to him wherever he goes.4 points

lad needs a goal. He’s got a bit about him. He’s raw. Kind of feel like he’s playing within himself because he’s scared of making a mistake but there were a couple of moments yesterday when he took on and beat his man. I’d like to see him do that more3 points

Aye, id sell both in the summer if we had decent bids. You could argue Almiron can cover RW/LW/LCM/CF as well, although he doesn't play well in most of those positions (Murphy equally struggles at LW and CF in response to KDs post).3 points

EVERY NUFC fan in the world knows he needs an upgrade. His finishing lets him down severely which is a shame. The purple patch last season clearly isn't permanent but he gives absolutely everything out on the pitch. Eddie and the club clearly understands this which is why I expect him to leave in the Summer. I've got nothing bad to say about him.3 points

He's been filling the wank bank all night, the dirty cunt. Absolutely livid to have it interrupted.3 points

Rule vs exception situation. Tino has been outstanding generally this season. He had a poor first half but he was great defensively in the second. Going forward everyone was rubbish. Barnes had a shocker I agree but again he's generally been good for us. With Miggy it's constant facepalm stuff. The purple patch last season was the exception, not the generally poor to average performances highlighted by cut backs and infuriating decision making we've seen in his time here. As others have said. Good lad, will remember him fondly. But it's been clear for a while he's not good enough for teams chasing or aiming to chase honours.3 points

Arguably his purple patch last year fired us into the Champions League. I can't dislike him either but it's definitely time On the bright side that point means that win the next two games and we are sixth no matter what. Can't complain about that considering how bleak it was in December3 points

To all of the cunts who have fucked off home or to the pub or to beat the rush and not clap the lads around the pitch…tell you what…fuck off and don’t come back. Wankers. It boils my fuckin piss!3 points

Imagine how annoying a fanbase and manager have to be that people would prefer a single club to dominate.3 points

It’s hard not to like both players for that reason. Both bust a gut and are great on their day. And you’re right that they’ve both done well to still be involved at this stage. I imagine either player could secure a move to a decent club across Europe or even in the PL and both will go with best wishes. Miggy will always have last season to look back on, where he was bloody brilliant.2 points

I actually think both general takes on Miggy's performance yesterday make sense. He brought some good energy down the right when he came on, looked dangerous, created opportunities. And he wasted two massive chances by (a) failing to stay onside with a view across the entire defensive line in front of him to judge his position*, and (b) took a shocking dive when, if he stays on his feet, he's in behind. I hope Miggy can have a couple of good performances in the next two games. I also don't particularly want him to leave in the summer. But I think it's probably odds on that he will. I like Miggy. But he has his limitations. And he's a saleable asset in a position in the squad that has an adequate backup already in Murphy, but definitely requires upgrading with a quality signing similar to Gordon's level. So Miggy is probably first cab off the rank to be sold. *Granted Barnes should've released the pass earlier but even still I think Miggy could've and should've stayed onside. And a better/smarter player would've done so.2 points

In a sense you're not entirely wrong, but these were at opposite ends of the pitch, Miggy was through on goal, Bruno was bringing it out from our box. Any half decent defender is going to avoid contact in the box, they don't when they're outside the box and looking to stop a potential counter attack. Context is key. There was a period where Miggy stopped going to ground easily and suddenly he started scoring more and generally being a more productive player but after this time out through injury he's reverted to his old tricks. 95% of players don't have the pace to have got to the ball like he did, and that's why he's so damn frustrating, gets into dangerous positions and then wastes it with a silly decision.2 points

Honesty man, her being from a country that’s openly committing genocide is the least of her problems. from the BBC “As she takes the stage, Golan won’t be thinking about the political storm surrounding her entry, but of her pet chihuahua, Leo, who she says is the love of her life.”2 points

Brighton came to do a job and ref fully facilitated it the absolute fuckin cunt. Midfield radar was off for all those who dwelled in there, final ball consistently atrocious. Not sure why Miggy dived (??) looked like there was contact but he made a fuckin banquet of it, daft cunt. Just south of Durham on train, already regretting life choices2 points

Isak was ill yesterday and still not properly right today, apparently. Just underlines the need to replace Wilson with someone who can be available in situations like this.2 points

Put the Man City match on in the hope of some drama, but it looks like we'll be treated to their relentless march to another title. I'd rather they won than Arsenal or Liverpool, and I'm sure it's great if you're a Man City fan to be this dominant, but it's boring as fuck to have someone this much better than everyone else.1 point

There's no need to look for greener grass because it doesn't exist right now. Howe is the best fit, loves the project, the team and is loved by the supporters. The lack of rotation has been largely out of his control and sustitution options have been limited. It has highlighted our lack of depth in some positions as well as perhaps a lack of alternate strategies to implement based on player availability. We've not been miles off the pace though and is we can turn around our injury record that alone will go a large way to putting us back on the right trajectory. Compare our squad, spending and wages to any of the 'top 6' teams and we're still spending A LOT less. £30m+ less than Spurs (AND Villa), £50m+ less than Liver "we have a ceiling" pool and the others are loads ahead of them on spending. Both Manchester clubs spend more than double us on wages and Arsenal are close enough to double too. Don't forget this when gauging our level of success. We'd spend more if we were allowed, but the only ways to that are dramatically increasing our revenue (which is happening gradually) or a change in the FFP and PSRs. They are under review with the premier league cautious of missing out on the top levels of talent. 1. Manchester United – £205,756,000 2. Manchester City – £200,668,000 3. Arsenal – £166,036,000 4. Chelsea – £155,324,000 5. Liverpool – £136,240,000 7. Tottenham – £117,520,000 6. Aston Villa – £117,000,000 8. West Ham United – £95,316,000 9. Newcastle United – £84,500,000 10. Everton – £78,978,0001 point
