Not sure why we wouldn't do that. If he doesn't fulfil his potential we can always flog him to Forest and he can come back and score a hat trick against us as a later date.8 points

All he does now? He's always threw tantrums, it's his default setting . That said at some point prior to almost single handedly ruining Eden Hazard's career by publicly blaming/shaming him for not digging him out of the shit (something he's always defaulted too tbf), he was one of the world's best. The footy was always turgid though. I want the bloke, and his ego nowhere near the club. Even if he would bring us League Cup and Europa Conference League glory. I'd take Howe and his humbleness over Jose and his twatishness any day of the week.4 points

For example, had Longstaff been awarded a pen minutes earlier I would have absolutely expected our fans to say it was soft but considering their first pen was soft too it balances out. I didn't think any of the penalty incidents were pens, but that last one was pathetic. Even Carragher said it shouldn't have been given, and he had to pull his pants up and stop wanking live on TV for 30 seconds to say it.4 points

If he's fit enough to warm Pep's bench then he's fit enough to come off said bench for us IMO. Especially at the minute, when we have zero rotation options. However, if they want an obligation to buy they can get fucked. Make it optional and we can have a conversation at the end of the season.3 points

If she claims she didn't know he was a professional footballer for Sunderland it would be hard to disbelieve her tbh.3 points

They reckon he booked a room in the Vermont on his first weekend up, never emerged out in the morning and hasn't been seen since?3 points

In that case we can continue to blame our rotten luck and not have to contend with the meltdown a defeat against Sunderland would entail.3 points

I really hate this type of snobbiness from journalists, I see it constantly now. It’s never an opinion it’s just “I am right, I know more than you all despite the fact we’ve all watched and played footy for years” it’s tedious and beyond arrogant. Dubravka’s statement is also being misinterpreted to fuck btw, all the bloke said was he didn’t mean to make any contact with Jota (pushing back on the Mcmanaman argument of even if no contact he “intended it” )and he didn’t think it was a pen but it was given, somehow Honegstein has decided that’s Dubravka saying he made contact and the Liverpool fans have said Dubravka is saying it was a pen . The bloke literally stayed on his feet, ran a few steps then changed his mind and dived. Not a clue how Honegstein is being that adamant it’s Jota getting knocked off balance as the way he fell doesn’t indicate that at all. The “happier to go down in front of an empty net” is nonsense as well, he wasn’t catching the ball as he knocked it on expecting contact and it was likely going out which is why he then dived.3 points

Honestly, every time he writes an ITK article he says (eg) it won’t happen, then says it might happen at the end. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Absolute waste of bandwidth2 points

FFP does nothing but protect the positions at the top of the table. Manchester United have a sponsor for their food vendors etc. Don't they? I think we need to be far pettier than adding to the St James' Park. I cannot see why we cannot have the Sela stairway. A Noon concord with a yellow floor. Saudi Airways floodlights. We could get someone to sponsor those stools that the ball boys sit on. There are loads of them as well. Aramaco could sponsor the tunnel.2 points

I should add I do agree it would be more satisfying if we beat them playing by their rules but we’re fighting on several fronts. New spending rules designed specifically to slow us, FFP protectionism designed to protect the “big six”, the European coefficients which does the same, the bent VAR, refs and media which does everything it can to protect the box office clubs with the fans all over the world. I’m not even suggesting breaking the rules btw. But we can definitely be cannier than we have been so far2 points

This is a hard game. When it comes to a local game, all bets are off. When it comes to teams playing lower leagues, again, it can be all bets off. I think we have enough to be able to win this. I trust in Howe. I think PIF know what they are doing. I didn't understand why we were after Emery or Howe. All I knew about Howe was that he had managed Bournemouth and I hadn't even factored in if he was there when he was relegated. Emery was another one I couldn't understand and now I can see what he is doing at Villa. I doubt that a team that managed to put together two really good candidates, manage to support out network to bring in the likes of Bruno (I don't believe many heard of him him before he came here), Botman (again an unknown) Burn (we all predicted how well that would work out) are going to make rash decisions. I think they are far colder than we are and it is good to see. West Ham really struggled to manage Europe and the Premier League last year. This is a normal thing. We are probably going to be a bit of a yoyo club for a while. At least it is Champions League and not Championship for a change.2 points

OK, let me indulge in the piss. Say we lose we do lose the next 3 games, like KD says that's 10 losses out of 11. 1 - City - One of the best teams in the world. 2 - Villa - Currently 2nd. 3 - Mackems - Not acceptable, but it's FA Cup Football 4 - Liverpool - Shocking ref decisions, but it's away at Anfield. 5 - Forest - Worst Display at Home (Maybe away) under Howe? 6 - Luton - Maybe this shades the above for away 7 - Chelsea - Knocked out on Pens. We should have won that but a 93rd min equaliser from a fuck up from a player thats running on gas after weeks and weeks of injuries. 9 - Fulham - Win and decent display 10 - AC Milan - Took the lead against one of Europe's giants. We were beaten by a true European Giant. Again weeks of injuries catching up with us 11 - Spurs - Poor display again, but again, weeks of injuries not helping. So I think we do need to keep a rounded view on things.2 points

Well this went pretty much the way we thought it would. From us being ran ragged to the laughable penalty decisions. I think some have summed our situation up pretty well already. It's going to get better before it gets worse. Calm heads need to prevail, keep the trust in Howe. We could well be bottom half before fixtures ease up and more players return from injuries. The mackem game becomes even more important. A strong performance and victory gives everyone a huge lift and a cup run could salvage a relatively disappointing league season.2 points

The Saudis should give him the tools to work with if they’re concerned. Make sure we don’t have to flog Miggy and Gordon to death by playing them week in week out. Give Howe options on the bench he trusts. They’ve gone out of their way to play by the rules so far while the cartel have done everything in their power to slow our progress. It was something that pleased me at first - deflecting criticism because we were doing it within our means. But perhaps it’s time we started acting like the richest club in the world. We don’t even need to spend that much if we’re cute about it. We can milk the Saudi pro league clubs. The vote against feeder clubs went in our favour. Why the fuck not? Give Howe Ruben Neves and Mahrez on loan and embrace the fewm .2 points

The whole incident sums up Liverpool Football Club (tm) btw. It would take absolutely nothing for their fans to just say aye it was a dive, or it was soft, or VAR should have overturned it, they’d have won the game anyway (more than likely) but instead they’ve all launched into full on denial mode. Next week they’ll be fucking whinging about some massive VAR conspiracy against them after they’ve completely missed the chance to back up their constant claim that they and Klopp are on some mission to save football and call out issues with the game.2 points
