Midfield was a problem, defensively we're just getting caught up, as I said last night Gordon looked absolutely fucked almost straight away, as much as the long term future looks very promising for Miley you can tell it's weakened our side a bit as you pass through us a bit easier, everything seems to be going through Bruno so unsurprised he's struggling defensively, Burn played better last night than Forest but he's also not the long term answer let's be honest. I thought early on it might be a good idea to replace Gordon with Almiron as he looked fucked but fresh on and in a great position Miggy does his usual trick which is now too much, ok we needed his legs and engine but it's yet another potential chance chucked away so without going overboard he's another who long term needs eased on to the bench. It's going to get worse before it gets better and I'm not really crucifying them but we've just had a bit too much to cope with, hard to take too much from last night as it's fucking Liverpool away and we all know it's not an even deck, I'd love to see a special Sky focus on shit that these get away with similar to focus on oooh, let's see, time wasting and technical area stuff that only seems to apply to NUFC but we know the sky drill by now, hear no evil, see no evil and definitely speak no evil when the subject matter is Liverpool football club. Again, after a night's sleep I should be a bit more chilled and in a way I am but I can't help but think on that grimer wormtongue cunt on the mic last night, utterly, utterly shouting them on, he got more excited for random Liverpool shots than he did for our actual goals. LFC TV. I'll take people's word for Carragher after the match as I wasn't about to listen to their shit or see them gloss over or even ignore the pens and non pens. The show as usual was the Liverpool show, we were just the props and the props don't have a speaking part.9 points

We’ll get there in terms of being able to compete because the owners will grow the revenue streams year on year. That’s not the issue. The issue is that FFP, designed to make it a closed shop, means it can’t be done in a season or two. It’ll also probably mean players like Bruno moving on if the release clause is met in the next 18 months. That’s just how it is. The so-called big 6 are somewhat restricted in how much they can stop the inevitable re: us. As we’ve seen, they aren’t a united bloc, Man City in particular not going along with some of the things they are trying to do. Then you have the ‘smaller’ clubs gradually realising the restrictions just stop them ever competing too. You’ve already had Everton (partly out of spite) and Sheff Utd (off the top of my head) not just going with the flow. I can’t see a promoted Leicester appeasing Liverpool, Spurs, etc. as FFP fucked them over in terms of not being able to build on winning the league. Which lead to the steady decline that eventually saw them go down. Also, the bigger clubs can only do so much, even if they can push stuff through, before they ultimately start harming themselves. Man Utd will want to make the most of the INEOS links etc.8 points

Went to the beach today, the 2nd is a public hol in NZ and I've managed to come home with the soles of my feet so burnt by the sand that they've blistered this might be the stupidest injury I have ever inflicted on myself.7 points

It does prove that FFP rules are not just there to stop free spending but also to maintain the status quo. Our squad is still lacking depth due to years of underinvestment. We won’t be able to sign anyone notable in January.7 points

That you buy the “Jose loves the toon ye knaa” is revealing… he loves one thing in life and that’s his reflection in the fuckin mirror and therein lies all his problems…6 points

Same could be said for Steven Bruce. Those who don't love him need a reality check. He is a family man.6 points

A mate of mine did that and it was fucking bad. Hope you're not too bad. When I was in Italy a couple of years ago, I was sat by the pool and an English couple came and sat near us. Lass was a ginger and a fucking unit to boot. Spent all day like a beached whale sunning herself. By around 15:00 you could see how fucking red she was. That night whilst the wife was getting ready I went for a stroll. As I was leaving the hotel she was getting loaded into the back of an ambulance. Silly fat cunt.6 points

That break after Man City will be huge for us. Two weeks, no internationals, chance to get signings in and training as well as proper recovery for our existing squad before going into a load of winnable games.6 points

Yep it is. Maybe they are confusing Psy-op with syfy - the TV channel that brought us such visionary classics as Sharknado, Sharknado 2, Sharknado 3, Sharknado 4.......5 points

Have you considered writing about José to a wider audience who might be more interested than us? I think if you wrote 'José, the musical' the psy ops team on sky would have to sit up and take notice.5 points

Well it’s definitely his biggest test so far. In his defence the team more or less picks itself at the minute. If we get players back and we’re still playing a 4-3-3 that isn’t functioning then sone criticism will be justified. Irrespective of the injuries though, and also putting aside that the style may not be sustainable (which you and others have mooted) you get sussed anyway. The best managers need to be adaptable. Not just the likely move to a more possession-based style. But also because the league is so competitive, and so much research is done into opponents etc.5 points

It's the old Fergie trick. Klopp moans and gesticulates about every single fucking decision game after game and in the post match interviews, whipping the crowd up as he goes. Referees end up shit scared to make a wrong decision and start giving the 50/50s Liverpools way. The biggest fucking joke is that the PGMOL have released a statement explaining why Joelinton wasn't given a yellow card yesterday. And that wasn't even in the top 5 worst decisions and had zero impact on the outcome of the game. Nowt said about the 2 wrongly awarded penalties5 points

I always find it interesting when you call out a red piller how many weirdos crawl out of the woodwork and somehow (almost exclusively) make points (with zero relevance) about child molesters. Grooming gangs, Epstein's island, BBC presenters etc. We're talking about Barton and his ridiculous craic about women pundits and somehow this cunt rocks up to steer the conversation onto paedophiles. Personally, I'd want none of them to watch my kids. Four strangers are not who I'd consider ideal babysitters. Bit weird of you to even bring it up tbh.5 points

Klopp, their players and the crowd all wanted a red for that - and of course no bookings for Van Dyk or Salah for asking for that or for asking for Joelinton to be booked. I think they are now angling to be promoted from level 1 to level 0 in my hierarchy of hatred (joining the mackems) - it's probably not healthy how much I hate everything about them.5 points

The pens aside that Miley booking was absolutely fucking incredible and as bad a decision as you’ll see. How anyone watching that can even give a foul is simply nuts.5 points

I’m happy with Howe - he’s done an amazing job & will no doubt continue to do so. However Jose will eventually manage Newcastle United & i am 100% behind that banter era and the league cup it will bring.4 points

And yet we can’t move that many players due to FFP. You look at Man City and when they have injury crises they have amazing young players to jump into the team. That sort of thing takes time, as does squad building. Rome wasn’t built in a fucking day.4 points
