right then, just for clarity.... this is a champions league game held in paris which is the capital of france. kick off is 20.00 GMT, however should you happen to be over there or holidaying abroad somewhere on the continent it's an hour later at 9pm.... well apart from the algarve and the canaries. I think we'll win this 3 - 1 with isak running amok, violently barging in his team mates as each goal goes in. well, I hope so anyway. wished I was going!12 points

"....and so you absolutely picked the wrong club to mess with." "Who would the right club to mess with be?" "I don't know their names, it doesn't matter, anyway they picked the wrong clu..." "It doesn't matter? Of course it matters!" "It was Charlton athletic and Bournemouth. Anyway they definitely picked the wro..." "Ooooh! You said didn't know their names! He's making it up as he goes along." "I'm not, it was Charlton, Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion but you won't believe the noise and dogs of war we're going to release!" "Oh these Scouse fuckas are hopeless, they couldn't chase a parked car. Let's go to the stoning instead."10 points

Turns out the cash rich Chelsea lads are more prone to the brown money bags than skint Bournemouth were. Ruined my weekend this news.9 points

The only thing more stunning than Gordon's recent form, is the man he credits for the transformation. . .9 points

aye, bruno for me too, although there was a few times yesterday where I'd like to have seen him have a shot. seems to maybe lacking a bit of confidence to do so, shame because we've seen he can get more goals. what probably prevented gordon getting motm was most of our plsy went down the right in the 1st half, thought he looked a bit isolated at times, not so in the 2nd half and he was superb. absolutely love the lad I do. and agree about the importance of yesterday's win, last time out at bournemouth we were fucking woeful tiredness/injuries shouldn't mask that. we needed a good performance, gave it and kept ourselves in touch with the top 4 spots. all in all a thoroughly enjoyable day out and well worth the £62 I ended up forking out for the east stand in resale. just one little comment to add really, very envious of those headed over to paris in the next day or two, we can beat these french twats on their own patch too. it's utter fucking madness to suggest we'd be better off out the c.l. (you know who you are!) we spent all last season battling to qualify for the fucking thing, give it up now? nah, not for me... I don't want the milan game to be a dead rubber. get in to them and fuck the french cunts up.9 points

Just to sing the praises of those players mentioned some more. Bruno MotM for me. It was close. Gordon was superb as per usual and it's conclusive now that we've absolutely had Everton's pants down getting him for half the going rate for a player of his quality. But returning to Bruno, his importance is almost immeasurable. He's the absolute heartbeat of the side. Isak's return is incredibly important too. Today's goal made it 8 in 10 domestic league and cup matches so far this season. He scores goals without even necessarily playing well. He's some player. Trips back on form again too with a typically gutsy performance that typifies the ethos of the side. Miley was brilliant. And with Howe coaching him anything is possible for him. That's almost my favourite performance of the season so far given the circumstances behind and ahead of us. It sets the tone for the month ahead. If they lost today it would have been disappointing. But with the injuries, bad luck, endless games ahead, etc., it would have been understandable if we struggled against a team of mercenaries with moments of quality in them. But our boys didn't let it happen. This side has been molded into a reproduction of Howe's persona on the pitch. This is a side that actually pulls its socks up and dust itself down. They don't just talk about it.8 points

"There's a train ticket for London waiting for Special Agent Willie Bay. Make sure he makes it in time to rendezvous with another thick, paranoid mackem bastard. Tell him to just say hello and be friendly. The mackem will make the rest up after the event."6 points

Apart from the fact this never happened, the fucking nerve of them to accuse Newcastle fans of believing in conspiracies!6 points

I noticed the 3pm Kickoffs thread on there had disappeared by about 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon so they obviously reacted to our result with their usual good grace.6 points

Three points for Sinbad's* lads today, la. *Did he support them? No idea but for the benefit of this post I'm saying he did.6 points

Lethal combination of Man United riding their luck as per usual and Everton's ability to miss chances which they've done all season. Superb strike for the goal and I didn't realise until now that this was only the second overhead goal in football history since the first one which was also scored by a Man U player. Fair play.5 points

I was not confident at all, even before the line up. Thought the bench was a joke; 3 keepers, 4 kids, Dummett and Ritchie. Top result, good performances. Trippier is class, Gordon is brilliant, Isak adds so much to our attack, Bruno is unstoppable, Livramento looks a gem, Miley could have big future ahead of him. Ive not been here long enough to make much of an educated guess on any of you, but have a decent guage of most folks ages so it's a safe bets there's at least two or three of you that think you look like Matt Berry but are probably more Blackadder II era Baldrick. Can't place exactly who but you probably know who you are. I just briefly pondered if @Gemmill might fit this profile but on reflection I reckon he's clean shaven as keeps his hair above the collar line. Kempt in an old-fashioned sense, to the extent that if our paths crossed in the wild I might get undercover Polis vibes and give him a wide berth.4 points

Everything about this is hilarious. The big deal these blue bellends have made all week about "they picked the wrong club", and now this. Man United remain absolutely shit so there's nothing to worry about there. But Everton having the wind so comprehensively taken out of their you don't mess with Everton sails is fucking perfect. All their amazing fans have done all game is boo fucking everything that's happened.4 points

Couldn’t post yesterday as too busy with the grandchildren, but what a magnificent win. Just read the thread and everything’s already been covered. Isn’t it lovely that all these great teams of not too long ago are just no match for the Mighty Mags. The rest has done the lads good, but such a shame that these injuries are inevitably going to tarnish what should have been another great season. We can’t play those 11 three times a week and there’s nobody else left. Hopefully the next two windows will add a bit more quality in depth at all levels so we get the next Fodens etc coming through. Would really like to see us get through to the League cup final.4 points

Agreed, it’s the main thing that sticks out with him that calmness in possession. Honestly he looks more relaxed in possession than a lot of the other first team players, you often hear about the speed being the thing that’s hard to step up to when you move from youth to pro footy as it feels like you have no time on the ball - todays assist showed Miley doesn’t feel rushed iyam. Agree some are going overboard (as people are prone to do with youth players), I just hope he can keep growing in his role and getting minutes as he really doesn’t look out of place at this level.4 points

Did they make it smaller? We all know SJP is a small pitch but I don't think they'd get away with making the 18 yard box that much smaller.4 points

Will this injury crisis actually help us in the long run? I think it will. Miley looking good. Tino not putting a foot wrong wherever he plays Alex Murphy impressing Lewis Hall getting more minutes3 points
