  4. He's migrated from the mask and 5 litres, to the nasal cannula and 2litres, still hitting 95%. Which is great. He's gonna need to hit 92 without any oxygen, for a sustained period (could be 24hrs) before they let us go home. He's even hitting 95% while asleep which is better than expected.

  5. Hamas killed almost as many civilians in 24 hours as were killed in several decades in the Troubles. Israel have killed several times more (in the preceding 20 years) and in the weeks since. I am not for a second seeking to condone / justify Israel’s response. But a huge response to what Hamas did was inevitable. It’s the worse slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust. As I’ve mentioned previously I don’t see anything wrong in the response from Starmer in relation to the call for a ceasefire. There’s nothing to be gained at all and plenty for his opponents to use against him. I have loads of issues with the bloke and his (lack of) leadership over things he can influence. But I find a lot of the criticism of him over this on here quite bizarre tbh.

  7. BBC news this morning, 1/4 people have a 'side hustle'. It's an extra job so they're talking about an app. Big banner on the bottom saying 'side hustle' making it sound as though folk are making a killing, hustling etc rather than focusing on why they're having to do two jobs in the first place. The banner could've said 1/4 forced into two jobs but the BBC of course make sound a positive thing. Fucking standard on this business section.

  9. When they were talking about these 'side hustles' it didn't seem to be stuff like CT selling his brand new equipment from his 23rd new hobby of the year on eBay.

  13. I think Wilson could stay fit if we were in a position to control his minutes on the pitch but we haven't been able to do that because of the injury to Isak. Ideally we need Wilson as a 3rd choice impact forward, so I agree we need another quality forward in. Just dunno who. Toney would be ideal. But having him and Tonali together might not be a good idea 🤭

  17. We once tried deliveroo from a place in the town. Answered the door and there was a kid giving us the bait from his bicycle. So the poor cunt had pedeled from the town to the promised land of Walkerville. Needless to say it was cold. We heated it up, didn't bother complaining as the lad hadn't done anything wrong except not a have a car so I said I'd never use it again.

  18. Dunno if it's just me, or if these zero hour jobs count as "side hustles", but there's few sights more depressing in town than these groups of (nearly exclusively black) lads hanging around Eldon square with there huge "Just Eat" back packs on, waiting for an order pick up for some office worker who is too lazy to get off their arse to walk for lunch. I have not and never will use these services.

  19. If the British government had started bombing the fuck out of the Catholic areas in Northern Ireland would that have any chance of stopping the IRA. I don't think it would, I think it would have created more "terrorists" Only talk can stop this - or genocide, and I'm guessing if Gaza gets completely levelled a few of the surrounding Arab countries would become a problem

  22. I don’t disagree. And the number of Palestinian civilian lives lost will continue to grow the longer it takes for this to end. I just found the genocide comment a bit puzzling when there is only side in this conflict which is publicly committed to wiping out an entire people. (spoiler: it isn’t Israel) There is nothing wrong with calling for a ceasefire. I wish there could be peace tomorrow. But what do you do if you’re Israel? And a terrorist grouping committed to wiping you off the map launches a barbaric attack on your sovereign territory, beheading people, slaughtering people while they sleep and dance, taking hundreds of people, including women, children and elderly as hostage? Israel launches a counteroffensive to remove Hamas. Loads mode innocent Palestinian civilians die. I’m not sure what else they can do - sit around the table for peace talks with Hamas? Hamas and Bibi get what they want. Innocent people on both sides pay the price.

  24. But why didn't he just admit they were terrorists? We're not even talking bog standard European Irish or Spanish terrorists here, we're talking about hate-filled ISIS inspired jihadist baby killing terrorists here. Anf he couldn't bring himself to say it, after 15 repeated questions. He's fucking well managed to make Piers Morgan look the reasonable one. Honestly, maybe I am naive, but I just don't see an ounce of badness in either Starmer or Biden. I don't always agree with their policies, but to equate them to genoicde enablers is just incredibly wrong. Fwiw I don't think Corbbyn is evil either, he's just a stubborn, blinkered fool with relatively little intellect or political nouse. And he is clearly anti-semitic.

  26. It’s always failed him. For NUFC he has made the following appearances season 1: 26 season 2: 18 season 3: 31 (but he was alternated with Isak a lot) id read he was travelling back to Bournemouth for his family every week in a car but they sorted that out so I thought that would have helped his injury record. we definitely need a third striker or at least someone that can comfortably play across the front 3.

  27. Hamas are never going to be beaten by bombs, unless they completely remove all Palestinians from Gaza, which means genocide. I don't have an answer but I'm pretty sure killing Palestinians isn't it

  29. What’s the point in getting drawn into demanding a ceasefire? It’s the left in the main calling for it, many of whom would prefer Corbyn. The right, meanwhile would jump all over it. Not because they care about it but because they could use it against him, aided and abetted by the Mail et al. His nuanced, considered response is clever and the right one imo. Whether that’s playing the game (because that’s the only way to win) or whether it’s what he actually thinks.

  33. He didn't, everyone knows he was just walking along minding his own buisness, when a flock of seagull, herded him away from his intended desintation and he just ran, ran so far away, he ended up at St James Terrace. Like a grown man he'd already checked .com and knew it was international break, so he had no intention of turning up early for a game ten days away.

  36. I reckon he was almost at the vinegar strokes thinking about how those so-called but not actually illegal immigrants were about to be shipped off to where they didn’t even come from. Now those nasty lefty woke judges have actually correctly interpreted the law he’s very very upset at having yet another pleasure eroded. Nailed on he’s retired, mortgage-free and the only time he encounters these subjects of his ire is via the Daily Mail.

  37. I think Eddie was asked at the start of the season on the danger of going into the season with only two strikers and his reply suggested that the prices for strikers were at a premium. I inferred from this that we'll spend big on a new striker when other postions are strengthened - I hope next summer at the latest.
