Last Stop Larrimah is a good watch. It's just landed on Netflix. It's a true crime doc, two parts, which tells the story of the town where @sammynb @toonotl @OTF @LongTimeAdmirer ...all live. All are heavily featured. It's about when one of them killed @RobinRobin There's only 11 people live in the town and one of them gets murdered. What a fucking bunch of characters. I'm gonna cut them a lot more slack on here from now on.6 points

Lots of infighting here today. We've got 6 first teamers out injured and we are playing twice a week. Players will blow hot and cold depending on what they're up against. Almiron and Gordon have been excellent at times this season, Gordon more often but they've both had valuable contributions.5 points

I think seasons gone by, we loose that one. So to have the resilience and spirit to battle out a point in shit conditions with a depleated squad is good. I am not as worried as getting Botman back as I thought I would be. However getting him back will settle some nerves because if Schar or Lascelles get injured we will have Dummett in!4 points

Friends used to be a part of essential Friday night viewing, TOTP, Bottom, Friends, The Word, TFI, Red Dwarf, Eurotrash, fantasy league. No doubt many others I’m missing, What a time to be alive.3 points

BTW, obviously every lad everywhere had a wank over Christina Applegate at some point. But I remember a running joke in the sitcom was "Peg" always begging for sex from he's husband Al. Tell you what, when you've the libido of a 15 year old I would have been right on her as well.3 points

Young womens’ attitude to it in the 90s put me off, I think it was a lifestyle a lot of lasses aspired to (that and suggesting that Alanis Morrisette was somehow a spokesperson for all women in that era, if you’re reading this Nicky Holloway that means fuckin YOU!😏) but if you’re going to push that shit out you wouldn’t have bettered the writing or the comic performances from the actors. In that regard it was very good, just teeth grindingly fuckin smug and pleased with itself 🙄3 points

No commentary on current events since the video is 8 years old but, for anyone wondering how we got here in a historical sense, here is a crash course on Israel & Palestine.3 points

I think they both have elements of it. They are both dribblers. I liked Maxi and he would have a been a good impact sub for us but he never fitted into Eddies press, so it was best for all concerned he moved on. Wingers are notoriously hot and cold. I genuinely don’t think there is much between all for them. They are all good options but none are elite level. When Barnes is fully fit and intune with the system then I’d play him as he guarantees 10+ goals. I’d probably go Gordon on the right to supply the bullets but all can be interchanged. Miggy was good v dortmund and good last night. He literally ran his legs off for the team last night. I have nothing but respect for what he does for NUFC.3 points

^ @LongTimeAdmirer FFS, is the world not full of enough of this shite from everyone? We need to do better please.3 points

If you were any sort of fan you’d be pleased Gordon was proving you wrong instead of desperately looking for reasons to criticise him 👍🏻3 points

Decent point against a decent team, especially with no energy in the teams legs. 6 unbeaten, onwards and upwards.3 points

Funny that as fondly I remember most of those shows they haven't aged well at all bar maybe Bottom and Red Dwarf. And any mention of The Word always reminds me of that classic Paul Calf line: "nowt worse than being sat on a flight with Terry Christian sat on one side of you..........and another Terry Christian sat on the other side."2 points

I can understand why tripper starts most games - he’s fundamental to how we play. Everything goes through him, he takes all our set pieces and he’s a leader on the pitch. However he is 33 and he looked bloody knackered yesterday, which is no surprise given how much he has played. He has to be given a rest. You can’t play 90 minutes two or three times a week at his age. And he’ll likely break down if we don’t rotate him often, which is the last thing we need. Livramento is good enough to be given more chances to give Trippier a breather - he showed that against Man City when he was motm. He’s more than good enough to get more of a run out against lower mid table sides such as wolves when trippier was so knackered he was breathing out his arse and making uncharacteristic mistakes.2 points

It's an interesting one. Livramento I think was bought because he was available at a price that was appealing. He's was great like you said v city which is a head scratcher why Howe doesn't have more trust in him and giving Trippier more rest. Hall wasn't that great v City so I can see why he's not really putting him in. But he needs game time to improve.2 points

Not just smug and fake but the format too. I couldn’t get away with it. There was a lass I knew who liked it before it really took off when Ross had a pet monkey, which was hilarious apparently. Obviously you would catch the odd episode as it was pretty ubiquitous in the late 90s. The scenes where they’d sit in a cafe or apartment when they’d all be there. Then they’d one by one do little skits - Joey the thick as fuck fanny magnet, Phoebe the ‘cookie’ shite singer or whatever. Fuck off you bunch of fucking cunts. It was going up against the likes of I’m Alan Partridge, Father Ted and The League of Gentlemen at that time. Even stuff like One Foot in the Grave was miles better imo, in terms of more mainstream stuff. Not really much of a one for US sit-coms in general though. Married with Children was canny when I was about 13 like. Although that might not have been 100% down to the jokes2 points

Bit harsh calling him fat. He can't help it if he only gets to play for England. 🙂2 points

Schar has been player of the season so far. Absolute Rolls Royce this season. Trippier is well ahead of Gordon as well. My point is that Almiron is getting unnecessarily picked on now. He links up superbly on the right with Bruno, Trippier and Longy. And he inverts cleverly so Trippier (best crossers of the ball we’ve had in history) can overlap and whip the ball in. It works really well. The fact of the matter is we have about 3 or 4 elite players in the team. The rest are replaceable. Including Gordon.2 points

Gordon has been player of the season, but Miggy put a cross in with his right foot yesterday so he's beyond reproach. Shut your shite, McGroin! Don't make me an enemy!2 points

They were absolutely blowing it out of their arses yesterday. Gordon and Trippier looked burnt out from the first whistle. Even longstaff was a goner in the second half. We managed to get a second wind in the last 15 but that seemed to be due to Neto going off. They had us the balls up until then. Big decision for Eddie. I think he has no choice but to make as many changes as possible for Man Utd2 points

I bloody love Howe but the players look goosed so his reluctance to use subs is puzzling2 points

Lascelles has been pretty decent since he came in. Must admit I thought we were screwed when Botman was injured. Any word on the Murphy lad we signed over the summer? I know he is still young but wondering if he is kicking on from the friendlies where he looked promising!2 points

I thought Burn did well today personally. I mean, there's a reason Howe is manager of a side exceeding all expectations and we're sat here pontificating putting Hall on would win us the game. We don't have the critical ability or inside knowledge Howe has. Not saying we can't discuss it though obviously or what's the point. But criticism directly of Howe is a bit much imo @Dr Gloom).2 points
