But but but they sold OIL mate. Freaking oil, to people all over the world. If they would instead just profiteer off colonization, slavery and illegal wars it would be so much easier to accept them.8 points

I agree with you. I think the “we’ve got our club back” as a slogan is perhaps a bit cringey. But in trying to be clever, he just looks like a fucking moron. No one is in any doubt as to who owns the club. What anyone with half a brain cell would realise is that people are talking about having players and a manager etc. that connect with the fans. Having an entertaining team winning football matches, providing one of the best seasons in living memory, being a professionally run club from top to bottom, etc., etc. Basically everything we could only dream about under the previous owner. The saltiness from him and the other cunts you mention is delicious tbh. Especially given it’s essentially down to hypocrisy and jealousy5 points

The way I look at it, if we've got saleable assets that we aren't sure about, we have to just be ruthless and they have to go. We'll never progress to the next level if we have a policy of giving people another season. It's obviously not as black and white as that, some players will require longer bedding in time, but I think Howe now knows bother the upper and lower limits of ASM's abilities. Miggy is a different story, cos whilst he's horribly one footed and doesn't score much outside of insane purple patches, he can put in game changing / points-protecting shifts because of his insane energy and ability to disrupt the opposition. Even when he's not scoring or having a particularly good day. With ASM, if he isn't having a good day, you're borderline a man down and that will cost us points. I'll be sad to see him go and I hope he's a huge success as long as he moves outside the PL.5 points

You are, without a doubt, one of the most gentle people that I have ever met in the world of football. You have been a man of your word, a caring man and a fair man who never hesitated to protect us. I will never forget how you treated me, for that I will be forever grateful. It has been an honour and a privilege to have you as a coach, thank you Steve5 points

I didn't realise they were so into middle east politics and money? The lad who never watched the Saudi F1 races but watches the rest..... Wonder when this started? I'm guessing if he was around in the 90s then he also stopped buying sugar puffs for reasons.4 points

Anthony Gordon is ASM’s replacement, because we’re now a professionallly run recruitment outfit he’s had time to bed in before the player he’s replacing leaves. We’re going to sign an attacker with a bigger goal threat with the money we get for ASM . Injuries and being too much of an individual have done for him. Which is a shame, he’s a great player to watch and has had some brilliant games for us4 points

I swear I'm getting more concern for this than when I came out of the closet. But aye, it's fine. It's not like we intend to be there forever, but while we're at this age it makes sense to be close enough to London to be able to do 1-2 days a week hybrid if necessary (which might become advantageous depending on what happens to me work-wise) and the occasional theatre trip, dahling, while also being far enough away to free ourselves from landlord hell and actually have some money left over at the end of the month again. Manchester was the other option we considered but we'd only have been able to afford to live in a decidedly less salubrious part of town, so we figured why not lean into that idea completely.4 points

I don't know if I can post it this in this forum.... But you can write 'Aupa Athletic Video' on google. Some weeks ago, in the TV, a journalist asked Toquero (the bald man) about the memories this t shirt bring him (this was the 2012 jersey, when Athletic got to be Europa League finalist). Meanwhile... ex Real Madrid Guti with another memories...4 points

These types of posts by journalists that sniff their own farts is beyond tedious at this point. We all know the points, but doing things like calling a club people have a connection to a pawn will always create a hostile/defensive response - then they have a whinge about the abuse they received before trying to make it seem like they were actually trying to make some noble, important point before having another snidey little dig. Inevitably ones like Holt, and Delaney join in before they play a big game of “haven’t we been hard done by” soggy biscuit the crumpet munching pricks. Gan kick rocks Storey you nerdy cunt.4 points

If people are climbing on board with the “Harry is a wanker” thing then they’ve got to understand why they think that and why it’s such a popular opinion. NB his missus took the Daily Mail group to court and won 3 times . Now have a guess about where the first tittle tattle about her appeared…then have a guess where Morgan was working at the time… https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-65818773?ns_mchannel=social&ns_source=twitter&ns_campaign=bbc_live&ns_linkname=647f3b1783361e17398c6cf7%26Prince Harry accuses Piers Morgan of intimidation%262023-06-06T14%3A03%3A14.619Z&ns_fee=0&pinned_post_locator=urn:asset:95b4f8ff-fab2-40ea-8bc7-7f922f4ea9b1&pinned_post_asset_id=647f3b1783361e17398c6cf7&pinned_post_type=share Not suggesting any of them are great characters. But if people can’t pick out Morgan as a repulsively malignant cancer on UK public life for the past 30 odd years then they’ve been had by him too…3 points

I don't see the need, seeing as our academy has such a proud history. The Magpies have a proud history of rearing top-class starlets – with Sean Longstaff, Matty Longstaff and Elliot Anderson among the current stars to make the grade after coming through the club’s academy.3 points

Of course if that player then flops, his love for Liverpool is sharp swept under the carpet. And obviously any transfer that didn't come off is because the player is clearly motivated purely by money and they wouldn't want a player like that anyway. You know because Liverpool famously pay their players with seeds and compost for their allotments.3 points

If ASM going means someone like Szoboszlai comes in, then I'll help him pack, to be honest. I love watching ASM and he'd be a great player for cup runs, weaker PL opposition, an impact from the bench but... he's one of (if not) the most saleable/least integral players we've got.3 points

Fair enough, I know you will have thought this through! I'm sure it is way better than Slough, for instance. And I had a look at the top 10 attractions, and at number 3 was this. Combining wildlife and model railways, what's not to like. https://www.railworld.org.uk/3 points

Just "back read" this thread a way, shit for Meenzer and HMHM, hope all works out - it usually does tbh. I do fear for NUFC though, we seem to perform much better when HMHM is detained at work.3 points

That Athletic Bilbao shirt brings back so many memories if you're Spanish... PS: Many years ago, the video of a girl wearing that shirt and raising it to the cry of 'Apua Athletic' was circulating on all mobile phones so that the whole world could see her attributes.3 points

Milan would suit ASM down to the ground. Would be a shame for last season to be his last season here, ending with a whimper so to speak. Him and Wilson are basically responsible for keeping us up the season before we were taken over, which I'll always appreciate him for, but if he doesn't work for the manager now then off he goes.3 points

He's passed neither for me. You admit the Man City game was an outlier so taking that out he has an assist every 342 minutes and 1 goal per 1027 minutes. It's not exactly impressive.2 points
