No, he's unquestionably a good player but Bayern looking to shift him so soon when hes had a statistically decent season points to problems I don't want at our club, and he'd want a fortune in wages. Not interested in that kind of move. I want proven experience and leaders in the older players we sign, like Trippier.7 points

Listen, my Avian Averse Amigo, you said favourite. Not highest quality, Favourite. I you want to shift the goal posts, you should have chosen a less pedantic message board.6 points

Pity we never signed this fella, he sounds like he was a hell of a player.6 points

We came very close, but he couldn’t make the signing as he had to attend his three grannies funerals.5 points

Got a leaflet today for the local elections. Seemingly from a neutral source, maybe the council? Hey, this guy on the left literally ticks all the boxes, unlike the others. Better vote for him, even though he's a tory. Helpful reminder to bring ID, handy in Tynemouth where a sizable proportion of the population are doddery blue rinse pensioners. Wait, what's this, in tiny writing you can't read without a magnifying glass, and probably not even then if you're a doddery pensioner. Oh right, this leaflet has been printed and paid for by the tory candidate who ticked all the boxes! Of course. I dare you to knock on my door and canvas me Mr Bartoli. I double dare you mother fucker.5 points

Aye he had his bollocks in a Wheelbarrow this week. Antonio was listing off West Ham's remaining fixtures for the season and he gets to the end and Wilson pipes up "And then Plymouth in August"4 points

Not sure how true this is, but… I did wonder what it was about Leeds that tempted him back from the golf. Plans for Casa Elland have been submitted to Spanish authorities.4 points

Absolutely impossible to pick favourite goals without forgetting about some or changing your mind but for goals witnessed first hand I'd doubt there'd be any from 1994 onwards tbh. Off the top of my head; O'Brien chip v mackems at Roker 91-92 Kelly v Portsmouth SJP 91-92 O'Brien FK v mackems 92-93 Kelly v Grimsby Blundell 92-93 O'Brien pile driver v Boro at ayresome 92-93 (Ask me in ten minutes and I'll probably give you five different answers).4 points

Shearer’s volley v Everton was some strike. I had the perfect view of it from my old seat. One of those ones where it was a goal the instant it left his foot.4 points

I actually literally have had nightmares of the Blue Monkey. Never even been there, but seeing the photos and knowing Gemmill used to frequent it was enough.4 points

I fucking hope you're not trying a time-in-motion calculation to shaft someone, Wykiki? You'll go right down in my estimation if you are, right down....3 points

Nailed it tbh, I would've been around 19, young, pissed, carefree and enjoying the goals on the terraces without any concern of season tickets, loyalty points, Twitter and all that shite plus they were either derby goals or vital importance matches.3 points

Pedro nearly needs his own category. Was it home v Norwich when he scored from wide on the right when he spotted the keeper a touch off his line and leathered it in the top corner? He scored a similar one for England iirc.3 points

Brutal down here due to Tory corruption. McKinstry might be a Libdem according to this, I thought he was just a punter but he’s almost single handed exposed the bent fuckers in the Tory group on BCP council to the extent they re regular targets for Private Eye’s Rotten Boroughs3 points

The Shearer volley against Villa was quality as well, the pace he put on the ball was mental. The Bruno diving header against Leicester was a mental one in similar terms to the Bellamy v Feyenoord, felt like a massive momentum shift for the club and we’ve felt like a force since (I know we’d won games at the time but just the manner of that one)3 points

I love the journalists now saying it might take Chelsea 2 years to get back into the CL, have they considered the players they’ve blown their wad on might be flops in this league? Paying £100m for a player with 28 appearances in the Ukrainian league doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed to be a good player ffs.3 points

I love arsenal fans trying to reinvent themselves as some kind of ultras, mind. it's like a fifty year old bloke growing a ponytail and hanging around nightclubs trying to impress twenty year olds. Stick to the library, lads.3 points

The scars from a lifetime of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is gonna take some shifting for me tbh.3 points

Not to labour the point but to put it another way, we have almost as much chance of overtaking Arsenal, as Liverpool do of catching us. And if we win on Sunday, we will actually have a higher chance of the former. Mind you this change to being a successful team has been so sudden that I can see why people are struggling with it3 points
