They’re going nowhere tbh. The journalists pushing the MUFC/LFC purchase angle are missing the key fucking point over and over again, it’s the same thing that Simon Jordon on talkSPORT keeps missing when he’s tying himself in knots calling MUFC/LFC massive historic clubs and that MCFC/NUFC are nobodies with loadsamoney. We’re the project that makes sense to them, that’s why PSG/MCFC/NUFC were the clubs bought as they’re all perennial underachievers and the ownership is bigger than us in the wider football world, when Man City win titles the ownership is praised/discussed etc, the same people wank off about how Manchester United owners are only seen as stewards of the club and that Man Utd is bigger than them - that’s precisely why they don’t make sense as an option. If Manchester United win a title who fucking cares? Half the cunts that attended the league cup final from their support didn’t even stick around to watch the trophy being raised, who discussed who owned Man Utd through the Ferguson era? It only mattered when they stopped winning and the whinging started, that’s not attractive to a ‘sportswashing’ project.8 points

Aye. Put Casemiro in our side instead of theirs on Sunday and we win that match. (And not just because it'd be 12 v 10.)8 points

Was at a funeral while ago and one of my older (in his 70's) mate's said "I fucking hate these things, I seem to be at one every five minutes" I told him "Just think of it as moving up the queue mate", everyone but him found it funny !5 points

You just have to look at Arsenal in January. Trossard and Jorginho probably won’t be there for long but it might just be the injection of quality in the right areas that they need to win the title. We might need players of that ilk to help us Bridge the gap in the short term since they’ll have the nous that a Longstaff or Almiron (just as examples) that don’t5 points

They didn’t give a fuck about anything like that. It was about Qatar getting their billion dollars. Absolute non story, pretty much everyone knows PIF is the Saudi state & that PIF runs the club.5 points

It's protectionism and we all know it. If only they scrutinised the grifting cunts who rinse a club and have that club in the doldrums for decades or even worse? In that case all you get is 'it's a shame' at best and they move on straight away but if it's a traditional old club getting some overdue investment to genuinely challenge the new 6 order then they're like a broken fucking record. Do your job and spotlight/protect the Derby's, Blackpool's and Bury's you absolute, fucking charlatans otherwise it looks to me as if you're just full of shit despite the stroking of chins on your poncy fucking sky shows or radio phone-ins showing psuedo-concern. Fuck off, man.4 points

If the right player is available for the right price, we’ll be in for them. We aren’t going to buy just potential but we’ll obviously avoid players coming for a final pay day because we don’t need to even consider them. Like the last few seasons pre-Ashley. But we’ll definitely get better value abroad. And I agree the scouting network will be light years ahead of what we’ve been used to. Even with likes of Pope and Bruno they were established players, even if they had their best years ahead of them. But apart from those to build up the academy, I reckon most of those coming in from now on will be upgrades on the first team. Age will obviously be a consideration but we’re not going to pass on another Trippier purely because they’re the wrong side of 30.4 points

Of all the things they want to have a go at us for, they pick that, when their ownership is as clear a bowl of runny shite.3 points

Amazing isn’t it. I agree it just doesn’t feel real, it’s absolutely mental that we’re discussing the points needed/form of clubs around us in relation to the CL when this time last year we were discussing it in relation to relegation, and the most unreal bit is we’ve barely even started yet in terms of money spent or improvement of facilities etc.3 points
-
Aye spot on. And its clear the ownership strongly buys into what success could mean, not just for the club and city but also building a historic legacy. The last year still feels surreal. This is Newcastle United, just can't help shake the feeling something bad is around the corner. I know there is no logical reason for it right now and it's quite likely we'll be banking silverware soon.3 points

If anyone ever questions media bias all that has to be shown is the way NUFC under Ashley were discussed v MUFC under Glazers. When we were protesting and the fans were demanding the club be allowed to spend what it generates the media called us deluded coming out with things like “do they want Ashley to pay out of his own pocket? That’s absurd” yet when the money Manchester United spend is brought up the argument is legitimately “that’s what the club generates, the owners contribute nothing”. Fucking insanity.3 points

100%, there’s absolutely nothing new there at all. Apart from anything it was pretty murky the way it was handled by the PL. I.e. the way it indefinitely delayed until the piracy issue was sorted to the satisfaction of the Qataris. The PL just used the assurances about the separation as an excuse to say the deal could happen. The PIF is legally separate from the state as per Saudi law. In effect it’s the opposite but the PL don’t give a shit. Equally they won’t want a spotlight shone on how they handled the takeover process3 points

Outside of: Pope Tripps - we signed his heir apparent in Jan. Botman Bruno Big Joe Isak Wilson (pre-world cup version) Gordon Everyone else presently here is at a level that could/should be ousted by an upgrade. There's some who you'd like to think remain and become squad players (Willock, Ciggy, Miggy, Schar, BDB, Murphy - yeah I like him as a squad player) Haven't seen enough of Anderson to judge anything. ASM either gets with the programme remainder of season or gets peddled (but can't see him being a happy squad player - would keep him if he would) And we need a #6 we haven't got even one. I think we'll sign one and Bruno will play more advanced and I don't think we'll sign Maddison.3 points
