It's a risk. My last match thread was when Willock got that late equaliser at Anfield, but before that my record is pretty shocking. Expect us to be egregiously robbed, probably with some antics involving cable ties again.6 points

Asked a West Ham fan about him. "Dunno anything about him, hope he's shit for you" So on that basis, I'm all in on [checks notes] Amadou Dialup5 points

MCU, the man barely sat through Nolan's Batman because it was too far fetched. He prefers his heroes to be believable, like James Bond...4 points

In the ensuite as well though? Do we think maybe CT doesn't know what an ensuite is? Who runs a business from the toilet, apart from maybe some rent boys and The Fonz?3 points

I have no medical training but I'd say you're absolutely right, he's over-exerting himself, especially after getting the booster. Older people don't like to believe that they're as old as they are and their body can't do what it used to but he needs to manage his condition. That doesn't mean being an invalid but just being sensible.3 points

Just off the phone with Mother Fish. They've kept him in over night so she didn't get back until 8pm so didn't want to call and worry me. (Family has this weird thing where any calls after 8pm must be bad news). Anyway, his seizure was a bad one, he cracked his head open on the bedside table. Turns out he had a COVID booster on Friday and was laid low by it, then on Sunday he went for a 5 mile walk, then did some gardening. Mam asked me if I could ask my doctor mates if that may have been a factor... I have no medical training beyond how best to combat a hangover (warm woolly hat, am I right @Alex?), but I'm pretty sure that if you've been ill, then over-exert yourself it's pretty likely to have an impact on your epilepsy. I was planning, as a Christmas present, for me and him to go to an Air BNB in the countryside near a pub and some hills but now I'm worried he'd have a seizure in the middle of the night and we'd miles away from help.3 points

Was thinking about this the other day, it would make complete sense for us to rejoin at the same time to preserrve the fluidity of the border, and chances are rUK would be heading that direction anyway. But can you imagine the fewm from the gammons if we rejoined the EU because of Scottish independence?!2 points

Gross spend is relevant here. If they were a midtable club surviving by recruiting and selling well just to stay afloat, then sure, Net spend is important. When their gross spend is approaching £1b you can't cry poverty. This isn't Brighton or Leicester. Liverpool have been consistently in the top 4 clubs in this country for ages with all the benefits that brings. Last 24 years, they've never finished below 8th and have only finished below 5th on 7 occasions. They are one of the elite clubs and have spent accordingly. They can afford to drop £76m on a centreback or £56m on a 'keeper because they're the final pieces of the puzzle. West Ham would need to buy spread that kind of money over 3 or four players just to stay midtable. Chelsea, Man City have had to spend a fortune, just to catch up with them. Liverpool are bitching because the head start they had has been eroded. The "we can't compete" line is horseshit. They didn't land Haaland, fine, whatever, they still spent £60m+ on Darwin Nunez. They literally are competing, they're still spending a fuck ton of money and their owners are perfectly capable of putting more money into the club if they wanted to. "We can't compete". Fuck off Mr Ed2 points
