Gale: "We'll never know what it would've been 11 v 11". Carry on with this patter, wor kid. It's funny as fuck.6 points

Went to the match today, absolutely brilliant. Bruno is outstanding and watching four footballers playing in our defence was a genuine joy to behold. Eddie Howe deserves a lot of credit.5 points

I was taken to a foreign holiday with my sister by my grandparents in 87 to Italy. My aunt and cousin was there too, My folks gave us some spending money so sis and cousin spend money on shite but I keep a hold of mine till one day I walk past the Italian version of monumento Sports Dixono and see a Juventus kit* in the window which you didn't see here. I got it with my cash and was the envy of all the lads of Walker who beheld it. Anyway, around the family hotel was an elderly family matriarch who clapped eyes on my kit who couldn't let me past every time she saw me without babbling away about the animal, Maradona and the gentleman Platini, (We were in the north). *It was a fans version but no cunt was the wiser back home then and it wasn't like the daft fakes in Spain a decade or so later.4 points

A lot of them deserve him for the way they went on about our fan base with regard to him. Feel bad for the ones that agreed with our assessment from the off but the cunts in their fan base deserve to put up with the spotty shaft that is Steve Bruce.3 points

Dominant like we’ve been in quite a lot of games but having Bruno and Wilson gives us better scoring chances, and someone capable of finishing them. All three defenders subbed on want to give their heads a wobble for contributing to the Fulham goal, keep back 4 the same next week if they’re the alternatives. I think keeping Bruno in that 8 role is key, if Joelinton is back I’d drop Willock who offers basically nothing now and keeping Longstaff in would be my preferred switch - I don’t rate Longstaff but he can play the 6 role which frees Bruno up. Really pleased to finally put a side to the sword after weeks of frustrating close chances / shite refereeing. Hopefully ASM is back next match and we can have ASM - Wilson - Almiron up front with a sub appearance from Isak.3 points

To do all of that without Joelinton is the most impressive part of all of that3 points

Yeah but as much as Putin is trying to paint himself as the saviour of the developing world there, it's not like he has widespread and fervent support for this even amongst such nations. I disagree with the assertion of the guy making that twitter thread - that this was the obvious and apparent strategy from day one. It's been far too haphazard throughout from Russia for that to be true. While I don't doubt that the issue of Western hegemony is a longstanding grievance of Putin's, and a backdrop to a lot of his commentary, I struggle with the idea that this alone and above all else was the reason he kicked this off - it would have been far more centralised in the narrative up until now if it had been. This is the pivot, the attempt to re-cast what is happening. The reality is that 20 years ago Russia would have been more than happy to join up to Western structures if it could have been done in a way wherein Putin could have maintained power throughout - he decided against this because his central aim is ensuring his own power, and now towards the end of his life, his own legacy. I do think it quite likely he will order nuclear strikes because he really has gone all in on this now though. He won't survive this if Russia is repelled, he has to win. So yes Tom, I agree, we are in trouble now. How many lives about to be lost at the whim of a psychopath. And he is a psychopath - that has been as clear as day for years. There was never any excuse.3 points

Youve watched decades of unadulterated fuckin shit and this is the hill you choose to die on? So much to be positive about but a few injuries and it’s “WAAAH WUH FUCKIN SHITE MAN AH CANNIT BELEIVE IT MAN 200 MILL IN A YEAR AND WUH STILL SHITE MAN!!!!” I don’t understand it. Anyway, stick your Mitro posts up your arses, this is the kid who’s going to haunt us today…3 points

Didn’t really consider it too much in real time but that Almiron goal is pure perfection from start to finish. The finish is outstanding but the run from Miggy and then the pass from Bruno are both inch perfect. Will be some going if someone beats that for Goal of the Month2 points

Interesting article about about how wars end, and likely outcomes of this one. None of it particularly uplifting, but worth the read. https://www.newyorker.com/culture/annals-of-inquiry/how-the-war-in-ukraine-might-end2 points

I think this part is really important. ASM starts against Liverpool, Palace and Bournemouth, I think we get between 5 and 7 pts, which would have us 4th. I'm fully expecting us to go on a run of form where we string together a few wins and some good performances. Isak will be important when he settles a bit, but that task has been made more difficult by us missing key players in his early games. Him and ASM should cause defenders no end of bother and even if neither of them score, they'll create spaces and opportunities for others to get in on the act.2 points
