Went mental when we scored & did a 20 yard Shearer celebration round the bar and neebody said FUCK ALLLLL. Especially not the mackem sat 2 metres behind who spent the entire game passionately cheering wolves like it was a cup final and went absolutely ballistic when it was "2-0" What a horrible team wolves are btw. why wasn't the pen on Longstaff given? Looked a stone Waller5 points

Think he’s probably been told what games he’ll play in, probably Europa, Carabao and maybe FA Cup. Means he’ll play once a week between now and the WC break in Europe and probably get a modest pay rise. It’s a great deal where he’s concerned and if we’re unlucky it’ll definitely weaken us and we’re going to be a direct competitor for them this season. Any bitterness towards him from our support is fuckin bullshit tbh. They only get one shot at a career and one of the biggest clubs on the planet want him. No brainer for him…4 points

Just reminded me. I was out walking the dog yesterday when I passed an utterly fucking appalling Michael Jackson tribute act strutting his stuff on a temporary stage erected in the car park at the Wheatsheaf at Benton Square. He couldn’t sing or dance and looked like Gary Glitter in a boiler suit. I’d assumed it was some ill-fated talent show until I saw this poster on social media4 points

He's a huge Michael Jackson fan. I think he's basing his opinion on Jacko's oxygen tent.4 points

aye cluffy, pretty much the same thing. well apart from the fact palace had 4 put past them, got beat by 2 goals and got 0 points.4 points

Id like Alvarez, I think we lack depth at the base of midfield and we were exposed by it a couple of times yesterday Willock does not like a 50-50 we need more steel there imo so that matters less.4 points

I also don't begrudge him the move. Howe doesn't fancy him at all, that's been clear since January tbh. He may as well get on with his career elsewhere.3 points

You can see the tent behind him. And he's not getting wheeled into surgery in his NUFC training kit 😂3 points

There's loads of this going on. Same weekend as Glastonbury my lass found herself at the same pub (I think) watching some sort of alternative Glasto with a Queen tribute band and Bon Geordie. I had to pick her up and it did not sound good.3 points

Id stay clear. I don't think he'd be a starter here either. I bet he ends up back at Everton on loan. Edit: Sorry, just realised his contract has been terminated.3 points

Remember, their next manager must also be “hard” He must physically beat bad players into submission3 points

Why is celebrating a very well deserved draw, with an impressive performance, against the best side in world football (imo) “mass hysteria”? That’s ignoring the insane comparison already pointed out. They’re also fucking weird about ex players needing to be managers for them.3 points

He’ll have had his lack of knowledge on the transfer budget and the the way FFP works thrown back in his face after the latest bit of transfer business. So this is his latest attempt to wind up the fans. He’s so unprofessional I genuinely think he has mental health issues. Which doesn’t stop him being a twat3 points

Almiron’s end product isn’t good enough for where we want to be but he executes the press from the front brilliantly. He’s another one I would prefer as a good option off the bench but if we had to upgrade one position before the window closes I would say centre midfield is a higher priority.3 points

I have to admit that I wanted us to sign him purely on the base that we could. I can’t remember any game that I have seen him play tbh. I think the same does probably apply to most of the people who went into a meltdown because of him signing for West Ham. I rather trust Howe and Ashworth than my fantasies tbs2 points

They really have no fucking clue that they are the least attractive thing about that club to any prospective, player, manager or investor. And that is some achievement.2 points

So many baffled by this on twitter but it doesn't take a genius to work out he's forced a move , don't think people realise whilst we can't offer European Football as a back up that we won't have too many top class back ups2 points

Disagree with that. Longstaff isn't as bad as people are making out. He is now the weak link in our team now though but I trust Eddie knows what he is doing. If he can get him back to a level near when he broke through then we'll have a decent squad player - on not a huge amount of money. As mentioned before he is at the 3rd choice number 6. Liverpool was going to be extremely difficult to get anything from with a full team but now we have some key players out will be even harder. I'd take a plucky narrow defeat (to keep our peckers up) or a lucky draw.2 points

As much as he has been a twat on numerous occasions he definitely has unique qualities. Mentally I think he was in the best position this season knowing this would be his chance to leave his mark on our project and as such he was willing to adapt his positioning to suit the team, something that he's not been known for previously. He'll still play a key role when he returns, as Howe really trusts and believes in him. By virtue of his playing style he should by rights still have a few seasons where he can play at high premier league standard so I'll be happy when he triggers his extension*. * Until the next time he does something belligerent on-field and I swear that he should never play for us again.2 points
