He’s American, he’ll be in the World Cup squad. Who’s going to take his place? Burt Starbucks?9 points

Was at this, we were playing an even better side than they were last year and they are different class but we were so good today. Bruno was immense considering the early card the ref couldn't wait to give him, joelinton was a monster and ASM saved this performance up because he was simply brilliant. The ref and his team were a fucking disgrace and you have to bear in mind how bad it has to be for var to tell a ref to look at stuff again TWICE after they've already saw it and made their decision. As soon as it went to 3-2 with the all the time left I'd have snatched your hand for a draw tbh but I can't praise them enough tonight. When we've a stronger squad and if the heart of these we're going to be a very tough nut to crack.7 points

Went to this ), I really am a fucking talisman. Best match I've seen since the Robson days, we had spells of being unplayable against the best team on the planet. Feels wierd being in a Starbucks now but I'm still grinning like a Cheshire cat!6 points

Thing is Mitrovic would’ve cost at least double what we paid for Wood last January. I just don’t think he’s worth anything like that before you consider the FFP impact. Wood is limited but he was a stopgap. We needed to pay the £25m to trigger his release clause and it’s probably double his value, even in the inflated market. But I think it was worth it on balance because I don’t think we’d have give on that fantastic run of results without a focal point up front. Without that run, starting with the win against Leeds iirc, then survival would’ve been touch and go. Mitrovic might have a really good season and he’s definitely playing with confidence in a side creating chances but he’s yet to have one good PL campaign. I don’t particularly rate either of them though5 points

Almost felt like a winner was nailed on for them when they got it to 3-2 as well. Great coach, great team. We could have perhaps shut up a shop a little bit but I couldn't be happier. We still went to toe-to-toe with them after that and gave them a game. I wouldn't have been gutted if we got beat. We are competing again with passion and heart and from where we were 12 months ago is a scary turnaround.4 points

Give Howe the players and the trophies will come. If he can do that against Man City with that shower of shite, imagine when we spend some actual money4 points

This should make us more appealing to any players in the next couple of week. Having said that we'll probably get beat off Tranmere on Wed.4 points

I don't know if people saw the interview with Howe before the match but he was asked "You said in your press conf that you didn't want to be passive, is there not a danger if you go for it that they just destroy you." His answer was "Yeah but if you just let them play they'll kill you anyway. You've got to pick your poison and we've picked ours." What a wonderful ginger bastard.4 points

You play for a club that's in the CL mate. And you can't get a game for them. That's why you're having to leave.4 points

They're a weird team to play. At 3-1 you feel like you've got a chance, but when they scored to make it 3-2 it felt like they'd already equalised, just the sheer inevitability of it.3 points

Was a flat white too, I avoided my usual large americano with milk cos I'd need a piss on the metro home. Latter part of your suggestion I may pass on since I'm with my 11 year old daughter.3 points

I cannot believe we are able to produce the level of performance not even considering where we were 12 months ago. I still go into any game expecting to lose and against Manchester City just expecting to accept the hammering. To watch such a shambolic performance from a referee and still be able to enjoy the game is amazing. I feel ashamed as I wasn't that impressed when we got Howe, not that impressed with Burn and I did not understand why we got Pope. What a massive turn around. I never thought I would feel like this about us again. Crazy times.3 points

Did I just slip into a time warp. It was like watching a Keegan team. Great stuff. Going toe to toe and trading blows with the best team in the world is ballsy. It should give us great belief going forward.3 points

Definite foul on Schar as well, get to fuck, if we'd done that it was a certain foul. Whatever happens from here, we've shown we're the real deal. More than a match for the champions of England. SJP is off its hinges, Walker and Ederson look rattled, more goals in this.3 points

If it's true, (it's the mail), then we should drop our interest like a stone. Last thing we need is this attitude from a player. I don't want our journey to possible success take any longer than it already will by having unwilling players. NUFC getting to where we hope will blow his Chelsea experience out of the water where they've got used to not being shit. The attitude of a fair few of their fans to winning the Europa League under Rafa absolutely stunk.3 points

I think he’d beat Fury too although I think it would be a close run thing. I’m not sure it’ll happen though as I think Fury wanted one last mega fight v Joshua for the undisputed title. He might view Usyk as too risky relative to the potential reward3 points

When ASM and Almiron play like today it's Willock's position that needs strengthening. That's where a Paqueta type player would fit into the team. Sadly we don't see enough days like today from ASM and Almiron though...2 points

Thought almiron was the tits today tbh. He grafted like mad, if he had end product he would play for Barcelona2 points

KDB is pure mint mind. Halland is lethal. Even if he does have a horrendous haircut and a face that looks like a Ken Doll.2 points

Fucking class that. When was the last time we went toe to toe with the champions and we ended up disappointed with a draw?2 points

Fucking buzzing with that thought all the lads were class. We tired towards the end but battled on. Pope was outstanding despite conceding 3 and motm for me2 points

Says a lot that it takes this level of play to score past us. I still believe. I've not felt like this for years.2 points

I gave Joshua just two rounds last night. How any judge managed to give him the fight is ridiculous. There’s nowhere to go now for Joshua. He gave it his all last night and was nowhere near good enough.2 points
