I'm in detox now, probably till tomorrow. Had loads of tests but apparently my Iver is somewhat fucked and my kidneys aren't working.properly. Hooked up to all kinds of drugs. I can't see well so apologies to my poor posting skills at the moment. Also head fucked by high dose bezos. Staff here have been amazing. Just want to get this treatment done before I deal with anything else like work and family. I'm scared and lonely, miss my kids as the wife took them away from me during this episode. Whatever happens, I am determined to stop drinking permanently. Don't have a choice now really.i know it will be hard but I have access to all sorts of community help because of the severity of situation, Oh, I can't post too much because I forgot my chargee.11 points

The Cherries took the lead on three minutes - with Villa temporarily down to 10 men as Villa left-back Lucas Digne was off the pitch to remove jewellery.7 points

Ugh the morbidly obese family from out the back have all just gone past my house on motorised scooters. The fucking fat pigs. The mam and two of the kids. That's taken the shine right off this result. If she runs into a car she'll write it off.7 points

What is it they say? It's always darkest before the dawn... You've had a bad couple of weeks with the drink, it happens. Now's the time to sort it before it becomes a bigger issue than it needs to be. Alcohol is out of your system in 5 days, that's the first step. Then make things right with your family. Then get yourself into some treatment so it doesn't happen again. There's always room in the straight edge army for a new soldier drop me a pm if you ever want to talk about mental health or need some signposting xx7 points

I don't think there's anything I could say that these brilliant people haven't said already (or, indeed, that you haven't said yourself). As hard as it is, never be too shy or too proud to ask for help - you need it, and it's shit that life has dealt you such a hand that you do, but it's out there and it will help. And absolutely keep talking, whether it's to us or family or professionals or peers. Staying as honest as possible with yourself will get you a long way in figuring things out. Love you mate, hang on in there and keep us posted.6 points

I'm like a kid on his first day wt school nervously excited. I've never felt like this on the 1st day of the season for years. 3 - 0 today Whey Aye6 points

Renton mate, I'm really sorry to hear that... Are you in some sort of mental health therapy? Not even for the addiction, but for the root issue? You've had so much shit recently mate that it's no fucking wonder you're struggling. You need help though, it's not always possible (in fact I think it rarely is) to walk back from this sort of thing alone. It sounds like you're aware of that though which is really important. That awareness alone will mean you can come back from this, just hang in there. As stupid as it might be for a variety of differently flavoured words on the screen with silly little images next to them to represent 'relationships' with other human beings, we do all love you. If you ever want to grab a coffee and talk to someone I'll make my way back to Newcastle for it. Make sure you have people around you who are supporting you no matter what else is going on, do not go through it alone.6 points

Hopefully you’re now getting the help you need, Rents. I know this may feel like the worst moment of your life but it is just a blip on a long journey that you’ve already started. It sounds like you had made some progress so try to focus on that as a positive and continue to work on it one day at a time. Your family will understand what you’re going through so I’m sure you haven’t burnt any bridges there and if you need to talk there is absolutely no shortage of people on here who want to help.5 points

Two episodes into this and honestly the most fucking annoying thing so far has been one of their chants. The Rockin All Over the World / "Saka and Emile Smith Rowe" one. There's a scene with a load of fans leaving the ground after they beat spurs at home and they're singing this song. But....... Honestly wait for this you're gonna be furious.... Some CUNT is counting them in with a 4-count and they're letting him get to 4 before starting. Anyone with half a fucking brain cell knows that the 4 is the "And I" of "And I like it". But this CUNT is going "1-2-3-4-And I like it". Try and do that in your head now. it's like the record skipped. Now do "1-2-3-And I like it" And yet thousands of people just go along with this idiot. Honestly I was like HMHM when someone says United about Man United or doesn't ask the right question on a podcast, watching it. I felt like this bloke: other than that it's pretty good.5 points

Well done mate. Pretty sure you're doing the right thing. As I said before, hang in there. Just get to the other side of this and then starting trying to make sense of it. Don't get worked up or stressed about anything other than being ok. I'll message you privately in the morning although hopefully you'll be asleep by then. You will be ok in the end mate, you will.5 points

We need something up front including out wide for the X factor tbh as we struggled to break them down and even when we did wasted the final ball. We were winning all day long once Schar's snorter went in. Was in that end, near their fans, was amazing to watch it go in. (And it was going in all day). 👌4 points

Just to say what’s already been said mate- hang on in there, there’s no shame in needing some help, especially after all that’s happened. Being aware of your problems is a huge step in addressing them, so take that positive and remember it, when it seems all that you can see are negatives. We all hope you get yourself sorted, well and happily sober as soon as you can.4 points

Did you go and see them with Rod Stewart and Joe Cocker at Gateshead Stadium. I remember being in a shop buying letraset to make fake IDs, and there was a bloke in there probably in his 50s getting his own t shirt printed with "ROD, JOE AND THE QUO" on the front.4 points

Hang on in there Renton. It may get worse before it gets better but it'll get better. It's an easy trap to fall into and an very difficult one to get out of so don't blame yourself & work on plotting a path to recovery. If you fuck up every now & then that's normal.4 points

Hang in there Renton, acknowledging you have the problem is in itself a huge positive and please do not underestimate how much those around you will truly/really care for you no matter how you may feel about it yourself.4 points

Good luck with the fight Renton. I hope after the initial treatment at A&E there is something more substantial / program that will come to your aid and help you start to heal.4 points

Everyone else has already said it but we'll all echo it, Rents. It's no wonder your head has been caked, you've went 'fuck it' and that too is understandable but you know the consequences and you're not pulling the wool over your eyes which is good. Dry out, get that help, let your family help a sober you. They won't hate you. And also keep on here as a dose of TT humour hurts nobody but maybe knock the politics thread on the head for a bit. Take care, Rents.4 points

Mate, like SpongeBob says, hang the fuck in there. You’ll feel at rock bottom now but there is a route back from this. The sobriety before now was a massive achievement, even if it doesn’t feel like it at present. You’re a lot stronger than you think4 points
-
Hang on in there Rents. No judgement, just love from here. Just know you've got a safe space to say anything you need4 points

One of my early jobs was in a marble factory where they cnc’d slabs into kitchen worktops. One of the directors was a bloke called Ian Jones, who it turned out used to manage Status Quo. Here endeth the claim to fame3 points

I’m really sorry to hear you’re suffering. Wishing you all the best, I know its a cliche but it really is one day at a time. The people who love you will still love and support you.3 points

Listen, blokes your age can't afford to be sniffy when someone busts out a Status Quo chant. Get your marble wash double denim on, put the white hi tecs through the washer, and get the air guitar out.3 points

Aye, as Alex says, this will be rock bottom. Like I said last time, the fact that you’re aware enough to know you need help is a lot more than a lot of people. Hang in there, keep talking, keep checking in, you’ll get through it3 points
-
I'm consoling myself with the fact that two episodes in, and after a horrible first three games to the season, the hope is building nicely. All the talk of how Arsenal has to finish in the top 4, that's just what they're all about, etc.3 points
-
Better safe than sorry but I suppose if your family are there that's something. If you think you need to do it though, I would. I'm glad you're with people. I am sure they don't hate you, they'll just hate seeing you like this because they love you.3 points

Sorry to hear that mate. No advice but know that we all care about you3 points
