  12. The tories are going to rip themselves apart, aren't they? There is no way they can reconcile all the nutters in that party together, despite Johnson having already expelled 90% of traditional one nation tories. Sunak in particular will be a target. You can't reconcile red and blue wall seats long-term, I've been one of many to point this out. The tories literally sold their soul to the devil by electing Johnson, and now must reap the consequences. I hope the threat is existential. In contrast, it feels like Labour have already been through this somewhat with momentum. There is still the conundrum of uniting Islingistas, metro elites, and red wallers, but this doesn't seem as insurmoutable to me.

  16. His campaign video begins with a lovely story about how his Mam travelled to England for a better life before bringing all her family over to join her Doesnt mention the massive elephant in the room that she'd be on a 1 way flight to Rwanda if she'd tried that in 2022

  17. The Scene; A Sweet Factory in Fawdon. 3a.m. A tired, weary and mildly sweaty HMHM trudges in to the break room, takes off his Oompa Loompa suit, slumps down in a hard plastic chair, and wearily pulls out his phone to have a look on TT. Everyone is asleepā€¦ thereā€™s fuck all happening. Suddenly, a notification goes off. Its RobinRobin, posting gifs from the other side of the world, when he should be concentrating on sorting out defence cases for Bogans. HMHM smiles a weary smile, and trudges back to the shop floor to make more sweets for the nations children, a warm glow of fellowship keeping him going. ā€œ Heā€™s a good cunt, that RobinRobin, later, lolz!ā€

  18. When Real Madrid signed Asensio, I promise you that I thought he was going to be the future star of Spain. He spent a year on loan at a team called RC Espanyol, and he was incredibly good. His first season at Real Madrid, too. He is a player with incredible quality and absolutely perfect technical conditions. He runs counterattacks very well and has an excellent ball strike. Now, I think he lacks greatness and that he is a conformist player. Since 2019 his level is quite irregular (it is true that in June 2019 he had a very serious knee injury) but this came from before. On many occasions, when they have asked him about his level or his demands, he has shown that he is not great with statements such as "I am not the one who has to pull the cart, I am very young, other players have to play here". He is easily erased from matches. A couple of years ago he missed a game because of an infected hair on his leg, for example. He is a very strange player. Because he hasn't been important or a starter at Real Madrid for years, and instead the other day Luis Enrique gave him the starting job in Spain and he was the best. Without a doubt, for 20-25 million he would be a great signing. I think he plays better on both wings and not behind a striker. His contract ends next year and Real Madrid want to sell him because they know that his intention is to leave for free (and he has an offer for it from Atletico de Madrid)

  23. Jess Phillips is right about this as well. Saying how fucking dismal it is that Malthouse knew what had happened in this situation, knew about the abuse of power and yet has gone on to back Johnson all the way to No. 10.

  25. Turns out every time we saw Johnson in a high vis vest or a white lab coat etc, he wasn't in perpetual campaign mode, he was applying his genius and getting things done. Look, he developed the vaccine himself! God bless, we'll miss him terribly thanks to the nasty EU.
