Steve Barnes had suffered. Again. He had fought hard. Fought clean and fair, but once again his detractors - those persistently meddling fans - had hurt him. They never liked him. It was always bacon this and tactics that. They know fuck all, he consoled himself. He was down, but not out. He would lick his wounds, eat a few packs of Scampi Fries and take some time off to test drive a few choice motors. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but if I'm cruising down the A1(M) at 90 with a mpg over 40 - well, those sticks won't stick in my craw, and these stones won't go unturned my friend. These stones are not for not turning. Steve smiled as he polished off his Steak Bake, he was beginning to feel better already.9 points

If we had to put a bet on which member had allergies you were definitely co-favourite along with Renton and Craig.7 points

If they went up I'm sure they'd do excellently as their players and fans would surely treat each game as a cup final which would be a twat for the big clubs they play.7 points

Aye, Corbyn did relatively well against May but she was a fucking disaster. I think he definitely had an appeal at the last election but that also needs to be set against the disdain in which Corbyn was held. So I think it’s definitely overplayed by the PM’s supporters. You also had the ‘getting Brexit done’ factor which resonated and that’s gone now. As it happens I know a couple who live in Blyth who both voted Green at the last election. They both have military connections in their family and they had misgivings about Corbyn because of that. They’d never vote for either the Tories or any of the Brexit parties. I honestly think it’s a done deal that places like Blyth will go back to Labour. They might not have enough MPs to form a government on their own but I’d be surprised if Labour weren’t the biggest party next time round whoever is the Tory leader4 points

"We're a democracy" as if this is the single most important factor in any conversation about anything, anywhere. If we democratically voted to nuke every major city in this country, would that be an infallable judgement that everyone should just accept? Being on the majority in a democracy doesn't make you right. It is in fact only a measure of how successful any particular narrative has been, over competing ones. Poor girl. genuinely. You could see her rage as well. These old fucks sitting there, burning her future, and telling her that she's not complaining about it in the right way, she's complaining in an inconvenient way. They're lucky the young aren't literally arming up - I suspect in 20 or 30 years time, they'll be wishing they had.4 points

The “we’re a democracy” point was really well made while she was basically telling someone they had no right to her view as others disagree with her . The weird bit in the middle too where they basically say ‘stop bringing up the facts as we all know them’ and the poor lass just looks confused going but if it’s all known facts then why are you doing fuck all and writing me off? It’s completely shameless like, whatever your views on the topic it’s shambolic.3 points

May have already been posted, but what a cunt Madeley and his little chums are. Getting a young lass onto the show to basically ambush and belittle her. The state of discussion in 2022 sadly, invite someone on that you have a different view from jam your fingers in your ears and scream at them that they’re juvenile and pathetic.3 points

You're right of course. The only thing I can see that will bring him down is if the outrage from tory constituencies is sufficient to get those letters sent. I doubt that will happen. Like hundreds of thousands of others, I wasn't allowed to be with my loved one (sister) at their death whilst this cunt was partying. I'm now in counselling as a result, which I hate btw. There are no words for the hatred I feel, not just for him, but his enablers. I watched some of the Jimmy Savile documentary on Netflix last night, before having to turn it off because it was sickening. No, I'm not comparing him directly with Savile of course, although the hair is actually similar. But the man is still a fucking psychopath (let the bodies pile up high) and he is being enabled by thousands of people in the same way Savile was. This country is finished if he stays now.3 points

I have no doubt neither will resign and there will be no trigger for a vote of no confidence by all those tory cunts who said they were waiting for this decision. The tory party, traitors to the country and democracy.3 points

Is what we get from the BBC and what Russians get from RT qualitatively different, or just a matter of degree @Dr Gloom? Can you justify this?3 points

Especially given that he was so 'traumatised' by what went on here, he didn't think he'd ever work again. I mean that's some recovery for the extensive deeply pained 'trauma' that the man endured here...3 points

Add Daniel Stables to the list. Seems the Cabal got to him, it’s a mystery what they used to convince him as it’s safe to assume he’s a MLF or has a massive soft spot for Sunderland.2 points

The reason lots of young people are so annoyed about this is because climate change has been warned about and has been in the post for ages now. And very little / nowhere near enough has been done. It’s absolutely incredible how trivial it still is to most people.2 points

The point it’s hypocritical is ridiculous because they recognise the fact re: oil being used but want to change it. Also the likes of Madeley (who genuinely manages to outdo Alan Partridge by accident on a regular basis) and Lowri Turner parroting populist drivel doesn’t make what they say true.2 points

Spot on, the way she scrunches her face up when she’s sneering at the lass for having the gall to disagree. The lass did very well but you can see how visibly upset and annoyed she is which speaks volumes about the supposed adults she’s meant to be discussing with. “yeah well you’re wearing clothes and they probably used oil somewhere” Is that not her point dickhead? She’s not coming on to say she has answers she is trying to appeal to those who might.2 points

Currently got what looks a stray staffy in my gaff. Found him mooching around on his own, no lead/collar. Tried the council dog warden no fucking use, dogs trust don’t take in strays off the street apparently. Im taking him to an emergency vet to see if he is chipped, if not there is an out of hours holding cell I can drop him at after 7pm I think. He’s a nice dog and I might keep him if no owner is found.2 points

I did read a comment that asked if these "campaigners" cared so much about sexual assault in prisons, why they didn't seem to care about assaults by male staff and indeed female staff and other prisoners. Also there don't seem to be any stats on these mythical public toilet attacks and no attempt to include non-trans men entering female toilets as there's generally nothing stopping them.2 points
