  1. There was a piece on The Athletic a couple of weeks ago where his France U-20 coach was making the exact same criticisms of ASM that we’re making now five years later. Clearly he has no desire to change his game and that’s ultimately what is going to hold him back from being a top level player. This season is about survival but Howe has a long term plan and a system that he will want to implement. If ASM can’t be trusted to perform a role in that system then it’s hard to see how he fits into that. If you look at Liverpool and Man City their teams are obviously full of talented, skilful players but they still work incredibly hard and are disciplined in their roles. They don’t have ten men in a system and one player doing whatever the fuck he wants. Under Bruce we didn’t have any discernible system, shape or tactics so our chances of winning matches basically rested on getting the ball to ASM and hoping he could do something with it in the opponent’s half. Now that we’re evolving as a team he needs to learn that he has to evolve too.

  2. A bit amateurish there - Dixon should be hated for the league cup quarter final against Arsenal where he and Winterburn kicked fuck out of Ginola with the blessing of a cunt of a ref until Ginola snapped and was sent off for elbowing Dixon. Gérard Ashby was the ref - dead cunt thankfully. (A proper grudge holder).

  3. I think it'll be when CT's branch of SCS sponsored the man of the match award and he handed over a bottle of champagne and a £100 off voucher for any SCS settee to Andy Hunt.

  4. Definitely Man City. Just a case of hating them a lot less

  5. I said it already in this thread but the stuff you talk about - tactical discipline, decision making and work rate off the ball - is the relatively easy stuff. It can be drilled into a player if the player is prepared to listen and learn. The natural skill ASM has can’t be coached into most players. It’s up to him now. I’d give him one more season, alongside better players who potentially keep him on the bench if he doesn’t step up, before selling him. See if he has the desire to make the necessary changes to his game.

  6. Was just going to say similar, the actions of a spoilt child. While I’d have liked them to get a result yesterday, the continued failure of his Man Utd vanity project is superb.

  7. "Get hold of Oliver. Tell him it's time to start paying back his membership of the MCTB club. Get him to ref the Norwich against Burnley match and make sure Norwich win thus helping make Newcastle stay safe and demoralising our sworn enemies on Wearside therefore further contributing to our mission to keep them beaten down. If he's reticent then threaten to release an embarrassing story in the Ronny Gill about him. Also, get onto our man at nexus, it's a nice day, it would be a real shame if the metro line from Sunderland were to go down. Haha, Hahaha, Hahahahahaha!" "Sure thing. About that Dawn Thewlis thing you mentioned last week..... she's more than happy to talk about Newcastle United first on the five minute sports bit on Look North, said it would be a pleasure and she might even mention Gateshead before Sunderland!"

Mackem: “maybe we are wrong, maybe the atmosphere is good and that Bruno might be decent?” RTG: “exactly what a mag would say, lad I work with said he was there, MLF mind, and could barely hear the barcodes chanting over the video of his staffy’s lovemakkin that his lass sent him. Mods can we ban this mag coont”

  9. Aye. I do have a bit of time for him because him and Wilson basically kept us in the division under Bruce but I think that’s a decent assessment, ewerk. I would love to be wrong because there’s so few players around with that dribbling ability

  13. The 7-1 at home would be my guess. Also I think you’ll find that Lennon head butted Shearer’s foot

  14. I reckon it'll be when Shearer kicked Neil Lennon in the face.

  15. so, it's looking like we'll be key in this years title race with both of them to play. I reckon both will drop points to us, depends really on which one we'll tonk and which one escapes with a fortunate draw.

  20. Being honest I was a little underwhelmed when we appointed him. He’s proven me wrong big time, to take the team that Bruce left with regards to lack of training, effort and confidence and do what he has done has been outstanding. I thought he was a bit a smug cunt at Bournemouth, liked the smell of his own farts a bit too much but he’s shown he is actually a grafter and I’m all about him now.

  28. The funniest bit is that, while his talent has obviously diminished a bit with age, he’s still absolute quality. But he’s a ‘box player’ type CF who needs good service now and Man Utd are pretty fucking shite at providing it (and shite in general)

  31. Nicky Butt has a reputation in Manchester/amongst Man Utd fans as a real and I mean real life hard man. Apparently he is from a proper hard family, might have shown it for us on the pitch if he could catch any fucker the slow cunt

  35. The beginning of the end of Ginola with us. We saw flashes of brilliance after that, but it was never the same level of flair as before. Was rumoured to shout "the just won’t let me play!" towards the bench as he went down the tunnel. Dixon meanwhile was smirking on the pitch, the fucking cunt.
