  1. Aye that’s why the “just pack it in he doesn’t manage your club” crowd (including Edwards) can fuck right off for me. We endured nearly 3 years being derided as if we were this deluded horde of abusive idiots, who were treating a manager worse than any manager in the history of the game and doing it towards a manager who was doing a really good job, when the reality was we were watching some of the worst football our club has played in the PL era and all the games were behind closed doors so there was no abuse. All the while Bruce was just shrugging and giving it the “eeeee whys it happening to me eh, horrible this lot” schtick. Now we have been proven emphatically right, by both Howe getting an almost immediate tune out of the same players, and Bruce doing an absolutely shocking job with WBA, they don’t get to shy away from being mocked for talking absolute fucking shite for 3 years by saying “well he’s not your manager anymore and he finished bottom half twice”. I hope WBA finish bottom half tbh.

  2. I never fell for that story tbh, like some disgraced London detective being moved up here..... DSI Dibble: "Come in Pardew, sit down. I won't beat about the bush. You've ruffled one too many feathers down here, your King routine has most definitely run it's course, Llambias at the club-a-No-Hope is going spare over some unpaid bets and unpaid champagne bills when you were on the tap with the crumpet......" Pards: "But, chief I was....." DSI Dibble: "Don't interrupt, Pardew! My decision is final. I'm going to send you to the North to get you out of the way." Pardew: "Norf? You're having a fackin' giraffe! Where?" DSI Dibble: "Newcastle." Pardew: "Noocarsuhl!!! Might as well send me to the fackin' arctic circle! Wait a minute, the birds dahn't wear naffin on a night out up there, do they?....... When do I start, chief?"

  3. In a way CT is right. It's like you've been to a party with your partner and they have utterly disgraced themselves. In the cold light of the morning, you are still cringing but they sure as hell don't want to talk about it. Brexit is and has been a complete shit show. There are clearly literally no upsides, only downsides. We have made our economy poorer and taken away our own freedoms. We have burnt our political capital and soft power around the world. We are a laughing stock. The only brexiters who want to talk about it are either lunatics or wums, and tbf I don't think CT is either now. I think its going to get more interesting now as the fog of covid clears and the threat of war materialises. The former will outline clearly the economic damage that has and is being done. The latter will focus minds on who was actually behind Brexit and who gained. We know who were paying for Leave, and these same fuckers - quite literally traitors - are now the ones blaming the West and NATO (don't worry @Rayvin, no need to apologise, I don't mean you, I'm talking about Farage and Banks et al.). At the same time, cunts like Johnson are appealing for European unity against the Russian threat. The hypocrisy is mind blowing and the penny is certainly beginning to drop. I so hope that eventually justice can be done but I'll not hold my breath.

  4. It's crazy to think, here in Spain, the press want to win Manchester United because Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid Hero). In the last three days, all the articles to the sports newspapper around the match is about how many goals Cristiano get against Atletico, how many times he eliminated us in UCL, etc etc etc. To hate Real Madrid should be compulsory.

  12. McClaren's a funny one, the only things I think hinder his rescue from all and sundry is him fucking the England job, you can fuck our job up, but not that one and the fact he was never a top flight player playing with other top flight players. (Who then become pundits and like to avoid getting on his case). Pardew was seen as an innocent Londoner caught up in an anti-cockney Geordie vendetta v Ashley.

  15. His Dignifiedness has realised that change is difficult but necessary. Yet he doesn't change at all. It may be of interest to note here that humanity's propensity for self-reflection is what most profoundly separates us from the animal kingdom. Most of us.

  17. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steve-bruce-west-brom-middlesbrough-23166434 “I have only been here two or three weeks. I saw things to be pleased about in the first-half, but the one thing I have learned from the second half is change - change is difficult for them. “They have played a certain way and to try and implement change is something I will look at too. I probably took them out their comfort zone when we were chasing the game in the second half, but I wanted players on the pitch who could maybe score a goal.” Fucking hell man already using the “they can only play the old managers system” card, he’s genuinely just going to cycle through the exact same excuses he used while at us. What an absolute disgrace the bloke is. Just saw the below comment. Glad Ross can enjoy him now what a fucking Brummy whopper.

  18. Which is why Trump was so willing to cosy up to dictators around the world - Ping, Putin, little rocket man - he would love to be one of them and could not understand why he, as POTUS, was not allowed the same opportunities. Of course, he is a senile wanker, as well.

  19. It’s hilarious that they always struggle so much with Burton. You genuinely couldn’t make it up tbh. So now Wycombe, Sheffield Wed, and Pompey can all catch/overtake them since the mackems have played so many games. Enjoy league one nonce sympathizers.

  24. Nee chance imo. It’ll be turned into more houses. Every single resident round there (and there are literally thousands) would be against it too imo. I’d be canny gutted if it was any further from the city centre than Castle Leazes as well.

  27. Reminds me of when we warned Crystal Palace fans about Pardew. Honestly? I don't think we'd be arsed at all if the media wasn't involved. Like when McClaren was given the boot, we weren't on at Derby fans, telling them how shit he was or anything. Because McClaren wasn't being defended (and we weren't being criticised) by the press.

  28. Problem is, the American public are so fucking stupid they won't be able to grasp what is going on there. Despite its huge size, they couldn't point to Ukraine on a map. Trump included, obviously. Terrifying that this gimp was POTUS for 4 years. As a case in point, I remember the Olympics in Atlanta 1996. Opening ceremony, when Georgia was announced, the entire stadium erupted because these idiots thought it was their own state participating in the games.

  30. Same here, while it would be nice for us to climb some places by the end of the season I care a lot more about us not dropping any, keep the teams below as as many points behind us as possible, how many teams are between us doesn't matter, its all points.

  38. Think 90% is probably being generous to the players since. He was a very good player for a lot of his time here. He was integral in a side challenging for the league, getting into the CL and so on. He had a fantastic understanding with Solano. He also ha a great engine and coupled with his pace it stopped a lot f sides being able to break quickly against us. A pretty unnoticed side of his game. Off the pitch he wasn’t any worse than a lot of his peers. Bellamy was comfortably a bigger cunt but you’d have a player that good back in a shot. Him and the ‘young guns’ got the blame for SBR getting the push but if there’s poor discipline at a club that’s on the manager too. I love Robson but deifying people doesn’t really do them or the people they worked with justice. Also Shearer had fallen out with Robson. Liverpool were interested the summer before Robson’s sacking. Robson rightly thought Shearer was no longer good enough to be the focal point of a top side. After Shearer got wind of Robson being happy to let him go and his being so close to Speed and Lee, it meant the manager was undermined by not having the more senior half of the dressing room to fall back on. And we all probably knew Robson had to move at some point in the near future. Obviously the timing was all wrong and the replacement was an unmitigated disaster. Sorry for going all Fish but it’s always more nuanced than one or two people being to blame
