I think I’ve got y fronts older than some people who are deemed sufficiently knowledgeable to tell me what’s just happened on a football pitch. Steve Wraith remains an Olympic standard fuckin strap on I see9 points

So we’re a few months in to Eddie Howe’s tenure, I was impressed from day one, mainly because he turned up for work at a reasonable time & isnt a clinically obese dotard. He certainly seems to have got them playing & whilst we can’t play football yet we’re certainly trying to and totally committed. I feel like he’s going to be here a long time.8 points

I mean I don't know what kind of a tit tries to record a podcast in a deafening stadium, but nice words about us. Right from the off.8 points

This is the thing- Eddie must be pinching himself every day He’s got the most challenging, but potentially most rewarding job in the Premier League, if not the world of football, and he’s, so far, doing everything right. Even if we do, somehow, fuck it up and go down this season, there’s no one I’d trust more than him to bring us back up, and then kick on up the league again. He’s relatively young for a PL manager, and by his own admission is keen to learn and adapt, which can only be a good thing and rub-off on the squad too. I fucking love the bloke, and I hope he’s around long enough to win us out first cup, whatever that may be.7 points

It’s probably very premature of me, but that won’t the first or last time, but I honestly think that he could end up as a less charismatic, but just as important to the club, Keegan type figure. There are certain parallels with KK’s time that I can see being replayed- the club coming out of a seriously shite period of underinvestment and disengagement with the fans, New owners with a vision, ambition, and a chequebook to make you weep tears of joy. A lack of expectation, for want of a better word, from the media as a whole ( he’s pretty much seen as a stop-gap manager until we’re in a position to challenge the usual suspects). What I’m saying is that I think we’ve got someone in him who’s not yet the finished product, but definitely has the potential to be excellent, much like the club, and if it goes well I’d like to see him given the chance to grow with us, instead of getting some “name” gaffer in a few years. If he gets it right, and he’s got the financial clout so it’s purely down to him making the right choices, and he wins us our first silverware in almost a lifetime, he’s got himself Legendary status… and I honestly think he’s the bloke to do it. He seems like a really hard working professional open to learning all the time and wants to ‘play the game the right way’. Definitely signs for optimism in the short to medium term.6 points

We honestly need to go into this match pushing our massive bollocks onto the pitch in a wheelbarrow, Buster Gonad style and ask them what are they going to do about these, then?6 points

had me reservations and thought his appointment was on the underwhelming side, based largely on the names being linked, though I freely admit my knowledge of european football had waned to the point I'd hadn't heard of half the fuckers anyway. think howe himself was more than aware he was playing second fiddle to emery and only got the job because the aforementioned bottled it. got nothing but respect for the fact he had the confidence in his own ability to take it on under those circumstances and I reckon he's doing a fucking superb job, speaks eloquently and professionally and is chalk and cheese to the moron who preceded him. like gemmil says above, he deserves the opportunity to grow with the club..... eddie howe's black and white army.5 points

I think he's class. And when you look at Conte misfiring at Spurs, it just goes to show that getting a "name" manager isn't always the right way. I hope him and the club grow together and look forward to him battling it out with the big lads at the other end of the table, and being the only non-cunt manager at that end of the division.5 points

I'd watch a reality show on that tbf. You with your endless optimism, and your wife constantly trying to grab the wheel and take the van over a cliff.5 points

And on top of that Wood is a player who will do what his team needs to succeed. Mitro will do what Mitro needs to succeed, or otherwise not be bothered.5 points

These lazy moron pundits did not watch enough of us through Bruce to know how insipid the football was, and how generally indolent the club had become, and so they will also have not seen how that has transformed in such a short period under Howe. We're playing as a team with a collective purpose, even Shelvey is pulling his weight. If this can be maintained for the remainder of the season we'll go into the summer with a fantastic trajectory that should only continue into the transfer market. It's far from done yet but the attitude shift is as clear as night and day and it extends through all aspects of the club including the owners, management, coaches, players and the supporters. We asked for a club that tries and that's what we're finally getting. And it feels fucking great.5 points

I fancy us against anyone now. Keep supposedly coming up against teams having “a bad day”. Maybe, just maybe, it’s Howes tactics and our battlers that are making them have a bad day. What a time to be alive5 points

Lads, I've served you up an absolute treat here. If we pick an arbitrary 36 points for survival (it might even be less than that, extremely unlikely to be more), we have to pick up 1 point per game between now and the end of the season. Howe is currently averaging 1.3 points per game since he took over. If you look at what the other teams have to achieve as a PPG average, and what they're currently managing to achieve, it seems like the wheels would have to come off for us to not stay up. I've put Current Manager PPG in for Norwich, Burnley and us. Because Woy has only been in charge a few games and is rocking a 0.33 point per game average, I've subbed in their current season to date average instead. Hodgson would need to double what they've managed so far this season to get to 36. There's only one manager already outperforming what is required to get to 36 points. And that man is Edward. John. Frank. Howe. Conclusion: I think we're borderline safe already. Driest kegs in the business.5 points

Hope Palace beat Stoke in the cup, that’ll push our game with them out to after next international break, when hopefully he’ll be back. Always thought international breaks were utter shit until just about now.4 points

Let's hope Bruno into the starting XI will have a similar talismanic effect to Trippier coming into the team. Targett, Burn, Fede/Schar and Krafth/Manquillo is still a decent back 4 with a solid midfield in front of them4 points

Four wins in 15 games required? Can one of the bottom three manage 6 wins in the same games or less? Four wins and three draws bumps that up to seven. Keep our fullbacks fit, keep our midfield hungry and obviously put Bruno in and we've got a great chance. Those three out three wins coupled with bad results for the rest have put a massive dent in the bottom three's hopes. It's been a momentous 8 days tbh.4 points

Mitro would score goals in the premier league if he was in a team where plenty of service is provided. None of those teams are interested in him. He's also not a player who appears to be in the greatest of shape for his age, so he's seemingly only going to beef up and slow down more. 27 now but you'd think he was older.3 points

Yeah, I've got that pencilled in as our next important game. I don't fancy us against West Ham and but don't care as long as we win this.3 points
