  1. The only way to get Gemmill to engage with landscape photography:

  2. I would hope even the prospect of having to play in the Championship is enough to send Trippier into a permanent state of super-human rage that generates some sort of Rocky-level training montage where our dogshit team learns all about the benefits of calmness in defending and creativity in attack. TOT walking down the corridors of the supermarket with a packet of eggs balanced on his head. Shelvey racing retired groundhounds at the dog track. Longstaff takes a nude form art class , and the first model is Rafa. ASM in a iMax Theatre being shown clip-after-clip-after-clip-after-clip of things being passed: salt, gall stone, pepper, Declaration of Independence, wind. That sort of thing.

  3. He's also the cunt who lied repeatedly while trying (and failing) to close down the local A&E here, and I'd still take him over most of the other realistic candidates, which says a hell of a lot.

  4. 11 years ago Deano was hoping David Bentley would sign. Tom thought the signing was imminent and Stevie reminded everybody he was ITK correctly 7 times.

  7. Some lovely sun rises at the moment like. Took this one this morning. It was about 9am so not really sun rise, but pleasant nonetheless. Also finding the night sky beautiful at the moment, especially with the full moon.

  10. Lol what a fucking nerd Sebastian is. Fully expect Grimes to pop up with an article next. “Why mams shouldn’t make their sons pay board 😡”

  12. The vast majority of Whitehall / Westminster worked from home at this time. Right up to the most senior level of civil servants. Some occasionally had to attend face to face meetings and some people went to the office because personal circumstances meant that working from home wasn’t a viable option. However these people would have told you that Westminster was like a ghost town at that time. The exception was no. 10 and ministerial private offices. This is because they think they’re special and the rules don’t apply to them, on the whole, because most of their staff could’ve easily carried out their work remotely. And, as we know, loads of ministers and their staff caught and spread covid at that time, likely as a direct result of that. As has been pointed out, they would’ve been acutely aware of the rules. The misgivings people who were invited had about the party at the time demonstrates this. But it really goes without saying anyway. As Renton points out he and lots of other people also couldn’t work from home at that time. If he, teachers, bin men, Amazon delivery drivers or whatever had attended a similar ‘work event’ they would’ve known they’d have been liable to be prosecuted/fined.

  14. And Arsenal have just released Sead kolasinac from his contract and sent Pablo Mari out on loan. The bigger teams are absolutely taking the piss with this ruling

  17. Just had a bit of a Larry David moment. Had a private number call my phone: Private number [female manc accent]: "Hello, who is this?" Me: "Eh? You've just called me?" PN: "What's your name?" Me: "What's yours?" PN: " I'm returning a missed call you made me". Me: "No you're not. I haven't made any calls to wrong numbers and yours is private so I don't even know what or who it is". PN: "Yes you did. Just admit you made a mistake and we'll leave it there". Me: "Pardon? No I didn't, who are you?" PN: "If you won't apologise I'll just hang up". Hangs up. Checked my phone log and I haven't made an calls to unrecognised numbers. Really want to call her back to tell her to get fucked but I can't as its a private number!

  18. Not for long- once she finds out about whichever vacuous tart he’s been poking whilst she’s been shitting out his progeny, he’ll have two more loads of child support payments to shell out, on top of the 7 or 8 he’s already paying out. Then he’ll die of a heart attack in about 5 years. I had a mate like him- met and married some lass ( they were all certifiabley insane), had 2-3 kids, met a newer version, dumped the old one and repeated the process. He’s on his 4th currently, and it’s moving in to the utterly predictable “rocky” stage after the second kid. He’s probably got one more round of “newer model” before they’ll become too old to be impregnated, which would put him on 6-7 kids and 5 wives. If he was some unemployed charva he’d be vilified, but because he’s middle-class he gets a pass ( not from me, note the “had a mate”)

  19. It's happening like. Fantastic that Johnson will go for his personal failings, especially lying, rather than a policy mistake which usually downs a PM.

  21. I appreciate that we don't want to set precedent of massively overspending, but they have to be aware of our particular set of circumstances and accept that we are going to have to pay over the odds because we're; in the relegation zone are a Premier League club are the richest club on the planet.

  23. We can't be getting taken over, becoming the richest club in the world, and then spending all our time worrying that we're spending too much money. If Carlos is really about to go through, we're about to blast through £60m in the January window. Just enjoy it.

  24. Ok so I have had the Katana head MKII for a couple of weeks now and I am very much in the "Where has this been all my life" phase. This thing is absolutely brilliant, genuinely perfect for what I want from an amp. In addition to all its well publicised gubbins, it also seems to play better with my Kraken than Victorys own Sheriff did, the fact that its effects can come in after the loop to add to it is incredible. Bloody love it.

  25. I am absolutely loving this Johnson collapse btw. I detest the man and to watch his dream job cave in on him, and as you said earlier because of his own personal shortcomings....

  34. It's total bullshit. White collar, blue collar, whatever colour collar, we all knew the rules. They were very, very clear. Probably the only time in this whole shitshow that they were.

  35. Stuff like this pisses me right off. Loads of people continued to work in offices during the lockdown, and it was far from normal and because you also live a life outside the office it was very clear what the restrictions were. And these were literally the people making the laws don't forget. It's utterly pathetic to say somehow they weren't aware of them or thought they didn't apply to them.

  36. Not sure why some of you can’t work out that a lot may happen in the last couple of days of this window when selling clubs have their hands forced or we get ultra desperate. This thread is largely a waste of bandwidth till then Happy Tuesday
