We're bossing the market. Fucking amazing. There's a new kid in town and he carries his balls in a wheelbarrow and his cash in a lorry. Toon Army be thy name.10 points

Like 99.9% of our fan base, id never heard of Botman before last week. But I can say with absolutely no certainty whatsoever that he is 100% worth the fee8 points

I hope they do bid and he picks us over them, then in his presser he talks about what an amazing, mahoosive club we are and even though other offers were higher he sees a project to go to the top here. Then he specifically says he is buzzing to live in Newcastle, he thinks Birmingham is what Trippier told him “a total shithole”, then he does the People’s elbow on Edwards by saying he alone cost £50m.7 points

I’ve never heard of either of these players but I fully approve of spending £70m or whatever Sportswash me daddy x7 points

It’s weird how wrong Luke Edwards was that we’d only have £50m to spend this window isn’t it? It’s almost like he knows absolutely fucking nowt.7 points

the tottenham supporter quickly cemented his popularity by stating how much a bigger club villa are than us. bit weird really, it's never crossed my mind this morning to join a wycombe board and tell them how shite sunderland are and I could probably do with finding a few more people who might like me!7 points

This is such an RTG thing to happen So desperate to be loved and acknowledged that whenever any other fan pops over and agrees with them on anything, he becomes some kind of celebrity. It's like in the movies where untouched cannibal tribes meet 'an outsider' for the first time and immediately make him their god. That spurs fan will be loving the attention for now, but wait until they try to cook and eat him. Might well be talking literally here tbh.7 points

It’s a frankly incredible signing, isn’t it? it’s finally sunk in that we’re the richest club in the world and planning to go places. Fucking hell6 points

I look forward to seeing him holding aloft a turd in a Tupperware box to celebrate this magnificent victory.6 points

I'm just speculating here, but wouldn't we have a better take up on the vaccine if reluctant people were offered a one-off shag with their choice of fanny/cock? (Please, no need for snarky responses, just putting it out there for discussion).6 points

That Trippier interview is class. He comes across well and you can tell he’s a leader. It’s also brilliant that he kept saying “I wanted to move back to the North”, absolutely decimates that wanker Agbonlahor with his “why would anyone go to Newcastle” spiel.5 points

It’s weird being genuinely excited about who we might sign next. CT must be off his nut. Probably had 6 lambrinis already with the Mama Mia soundtrack on repeat in the kitchen5 points

I don't know why I do this to meself occasionally, but I just had a quick look on our thread on the smb. I've quickly established they're in meltdown over their hatred for look north and metro radio. trippier is absolutely shite and they've got some random tottenham fan on there (no doubt in peace) confirming this who quickly seems to have established himself as a rtg legend. not only that, we're all absolutely gutted we didn't get gerrard as manager and equally so that aston villa have completely stolen our thunder with the loan of coutinho, which came as a bit of a surprise to me as I wasn't aware he had and I couldn't give a flying fuck. anyway, the poor fuckers are tearing themselves apart and that's just in the last 2 pages!5 points

Claiming he watched the City and Liverpool matches and we "should have come out of those games with something." A very polite young man.5 points

This is my view of it. We were no different to the sports brands he bought and fucked the life out of, until people realised they’d become a shadow of what they once were. He hollowed the club out from the inside, selling anything of value he could and running what was left on a shoestring, with his tacky signage plastered all over the place. The only reason he made money out of his shares in the club is because of price inflation due to PL broadcasting deals. Much like someone who buys a house on a great street that enjoys stellar capital growth, even thiugh he allows the house to fall down over the years. He’s not a great owner, he’s a cunt and a lucky cunt at that. I dont know much about Derby, other than when Clough was manager there, but I dont bear them any ill will. I wouldn’t wish Ashley on them because he’s like a horrible incurable disease that sucks the life and enjoyment out of everything he touches. The only reason to be pleased would be if the club was about to go bust.4 points

So Villa have followed us into interest in Coutinho, Digne, and now Botman, not sure this tactic is going to be feasible for long. Botman only has interest in us as he views us as the next Man City/PSG level project, if it was just money he’d not be interested - which is what Villa would basically offer as tbh their “project” isn’t going far especially with a manager that’s practically begging to manage another club. If they want to pay out the alleged £275k a week in wages to Coutinho and Digne to consolidate their mid table finish more power to them. I look forward to leapfrogging them next season if we stay up this year.4 points

Before we appointed Howe as manager they were praying that we would appoint Gerrard as boss because he was fucking useless.....and that overrated/overpriced/mercenaries like Coutinho would be signed by us But Gerrard is now a master tactician who has pulled off the deal of the century signing Coutinho on loan and we have signed a player almost 32 on £150-200k a week on a 4/5 year deal with no sell on value. If you try and point out he is 31 getting £100k a week on a two and half year deal and if he and others keep us up this season it will be money well spent it just doesn't sink in ,and when he's 33 will still get another club on a free/small fee They love to point out we live in their shadows and are obsessed with all things SAFC but we continue to be the biggest talking point on RTG every week/month clocking up thousands of replies.......SMB4 points

one of the most memorable seasons for me ever was the 83/84 promotion season. fucking fantastic. the two games against your lot were tremendous as you were right in the mix with ourselves, chelsea and sheff wed. 5-0 at home in the fucking ludicrous official 33,000 crowd, (it felt like there was that in the corner of the gallowgate) if it wasn't for alex williams in goal for you that day we would've hit double figures, he was superb. 2-1 at your place, shared a third of the kippax stand with yous and spent as much time watching and avoiding the half bricks yous were lobbing at us as I did watching the match. particularly fraught half an hour after the game 3 of us spent wandering around moss side trying to find the luton bedford we'd travelled down in having become detached from the rest of the lads whilst simultaneously trying to avoid hordes of marauding mancs. I loved the 80s match day experience I did!4 points

The Guardian, the BBC and CNN. Many articles. It took me 5 mins to find these. Actually it didn't, it took me 30 seconds. It took me 5 mins to make the post. Is it worth considering that you may just be reading the wrong media sources? The right wing ones are really unreliable tbf.4 points
