I'm going to be a bit mean spirited here but when a total QPR appears from nowhere from another country the amount of NUFC twitter fans who crawl up their arses where they end up getting tours, tickets, meeting players, getting shirts all usually fucking gratis kind of pisses me off a bit. You had that American/Paraguayan kid, I saw Shearer handing over a shirt to a yank the other day and now this Saudi lad getting the red carpet treatment. There'll genuinely be lads/lasses from Byker, Felling, Howdon, Kenton etc who've followed the club for years, might well be on the bones of their arses but wouldn't get the lickings of a fucking dog from NUFC, sponsors or 'famous' twitter individuals. It's not a reflection on the foreign newcomers who might all be decent kids and good luck to them but what about those who've maybe fell on hard times a bit closer to home and who put the effort in through the years?7 points

I assume he doesn’t like Liverpool as the mackems have a friendship with Everton? The bottom feeders in every rivalry have a club similar to Alcoholics Anonymous it seems. Pedo sympathizing little rats.5 points

Poocastle and Liverpoo. What a fucking literary genius! He's the resident soak isn't he?5 points

Wraith is ripe to be pranked with something like this. Get someone from the local kebab shop, cover him in a bed sheet and Elizabeth Duke gold, and get Wraith to put him up at his house and shower gifts on him for a month.5 points

Just had a look on there and some of them think that Wilder was a realistic shout to take over from whoever manages them atm It hasnt sunk in for many of them yet that they are a league one club through and through now, also seen Allardyce mentioned as well4 points

Let me join the dots for you - this bloke claims to have given money to Amnesty International in the past. This mackem has emailed AI, asking if Sting can make a statement about the takeover and Saudi human rights abuses. This is because Sting has made statements about human rights in the past and he is also a Geordie. Sting subsequently appeared on BBC talking about something else. He then failed to make a statement about the contents of an email he hadn’t seen or even heard about.4 points

His personal tour guide and all round insufferable prick of a bestie Wraith is there to thank them: FWIW it’s great our sponsor, who have done the square root of fuck all for the fan base in their whole time as sponsors, decided to give not only a free ticket but a free ticket in the directors box to some random no mark who just happens to be from the country the clubs new owners are from. Probably harsh of the lads whose bus he went down on to leave without him, but think all these blokes on twitter that are crawling up the blokes arse need to give their heads a shake and realize there’s probably another side to the story (likely being this Alwaleed was too busy pissing about and freeloading all he could that he was late as fuck for the bus).4 points

I think the hard bit with predicting us over the rest of the season is that despite all the prior data of teams with similar records to ours being destined for the drop, none of them were in the position where they could realistically spend £200m in January. The team we have now is also hard to gauge in terms of quality as well, imo they’re not as poor as they all look and a complete lack of conditioning is a big reason for that. By mid January we will possibly be a completely unrecognizable side to the one that started the season, in terms of current player standard and new players coming in.3 points

Can’t stand the bloke tbh, happy clappy, everyone’s mate and shining his shite fake teeth at everyone when everything’s going their way and the refs are giving them big decisions, then when something goes against them he becomes a right nob.3 points

I think we’ll see daft pricetags on any player we show interest in during the Jan,( and every subsequent) window, especially if they’re at a PL club.3 points

That bit in 'Man who would be king' where Michael Caine throws the Indian from the moving train in superior disdain...... That's you that is.3 points

It sounds similar to an experience I had. Except it was the cast of Strictly Come Dancing behaving like tits on a Flybe flight from Belfast3 points

Anyway the point was, I feel like Phileas can't have had it much worse than me that day.3 points

I've flown Emirates once and it was absolute insanity. Loads of lads in floor length shirts just sitting wherever the fuck they liked, and having to all be walked to their assigned seats by the stewardess. Wandering about while the seatbelt lights were on and the plane is still at a 45 degree angle during takeoff. "BUT WHY CAN I NOT SIT WITH MY WIFE!" one wanted to know. "Because your seat is here. And her seat is way over there."3 points

I get the point re: the PR side of it but unless I’ve missed something he flew here for a jolly rather than only using modes of transport available to Phileas Fogg3 points

We do like. But all I mean is we’re not looking at previous scenarios where you had the same players and about 8 games to work with. Even then we nearly pulled it off. 17th is achievable. I’m not suggesting it’ll be easy but before the takeover relegation was absolutely nailed on3 points

A Man U fan? Didn't know that? In that case I hope his balls fester and his arse seizes up. And he's getting VIP treatment? Well done twitter, fucking well done. 👏3 points

I’d saw similar, but he’d also posted some map showing his trip with a Fun88 logo and thanking them for his ticket so who knows. Maybe they bumped his ticket up? As HMHM says I’ve nothing against the bloke himself, but these pillocks calling him a club legend, panicking about a grown man missing his bus, and showering him with free stuff is ridiculous, apparently he was a Manchester United ‘fan’ up until a couple of month ago. Many react to what I and many are saying by going “it’s just jealousy” but it’s really not, I’m not asking for any of this stuff myself but as HMHM says there are surely tons of actual supporters, ones who have stuck with us for years, more deserving than some random bloke that just decided he supports us now. The “well you best get used to it” responses with regard to glory hunter types also doesn’t wash with me, I know if we become successful the glory hunters will come and Wraiths new bestie is just trying to get in early doors, but I’m not talking about a glory hunter coming and buying tickets etc, my complaint is this bending over backwards by the sponsors/owners/whoever to shower one with things the majority of proper fans couldn’t dream of getting, or at least have to pay/work for. I couldn’t give a fuck about the bloke and a few daft pictures/free pints should be the extent of it, this wanking off over having a ‘Saudi Geordie’ is, dare I say it, mackem behavior - so maybe the mackems are right and Wraith really is a MLF. FWIW they all want a word with themselves as the mooch has played them all like a fiddle, grown men basically pleading on his behalf to get him a ticket for the Brighton game ffs.3 points

Wouldn’t have a clue in terms of making a comparison to be honest. Although losing at home to Mansfield suggests you’re right3 points

There’s more than the PL. Nearly all clubs around the world are suffering from the pandemic and looking to off load. We have the money to take those players off their hands. Give Graham Carr a call and let’s get the band back together.2 points

As long as we are still in touch with safety, then we'll be able to get players here, maybe not the highest calibre, but much better than what we have now. It's not dissimilar to attracting a good manager. Despite our position, we've been able to land a highly rated one. But we can't wait for January, we need Howe to work some magic and start picking up points. This month really, as December looks grim.2 points

While some clubs can afford to play hardball with us over transfer fees, for a lot of others they can’t as sometimes they just need the high wages off the books.2 points

Just getting the squad fit will make a massive difference. Even that will take a little while though. Bruce really did leave the squad in a disgraceful mess.2 points

I think this is a great appointment for both parties. Eddie will get to take charge of a big club with cash to spend. This will be where he proves his reputation. For us, even if he gets homesick by the time his contract is up, we'll hopefully be able to appoint the next tier manager. Of course would be even better if Howe himself turns out to be the one.2 points

The optimism from my point of view comes from knowing Howe will have lots of games and a transfer window (where you’d assume he’d have plenty to spend) to turn it around. Assuming he actually takes the job, of course.2 points

amnesty international has 200,000 UK based members and it would appear they do have a few members in wearside.... https://m.facebook.com/WearsideAmnesty/ fair play to them. what seems to be missing from the above page is any significant increase in activity since our takeover. strange really considering the tens of thousands of posts of outrage on rtg and their unequivocal support of human rights. I'm starting to think they're all full of shite.2 points

It does really. I think others have said Jones looks like a good coach who struggles a bit with the bigger picture. And the ultra defensive approach smacks a little bit of someone either lacking a bit in ideas or confidence perhaps. But you can see where he’s coming from, ie if we’re hard to beat, we’ve got a chance. He’s picked up as many points as you could probably have hoped for in those games in charge and the last 30 minutes gives us something to work with. Definitely time for the few man to cone in and inject some new ideas and impetus but, like you say, he’s done better than the managerial legend he’s taken over from.2 points
