  4. I’m honestly not aware of any proper stick Bruce received. There were chants in the stadium but rarely, he got off incredibly lightly due to Covid. During the Spurs game home and away fans were singing “your getting sacked in the morning” which is hardly abusive or unfair. Most managers underperforming to that level will have received far, far worse stick. The media narrative has been absolutely beyond belief, Bruce has been a shit manager for 20 years and this is probably the best treatment he’s received.

  5. I always took it as they were meaning that, even Bruce himself went on about only having good experiences with fans he encountered in real life, I’ve never seen any indication he received any threats or bother when out and about only on social media, which he doesn’t have. I always assumed Alex would print off a list of abuse and bring it to Sunday dinner where Steve would go “come on then son, let’s hear the damage this week” “you won’t believe it this week dad psychotoonfan27 said you’re an inept cabbage headed cunt” “I don’t know how I’ll go on son, Luke Edwards will hear about this”.

  6. I had the misfortune of having Messrs. White, Jordan and Murphy on in the car earlier discussing Mick McCarthy's dismissal from the Cardiff job and the chants he was getting at the match. The consensus among them was 'he's a big boy', 'results weren't good enough' and 'he's well paid to take that abuse and he'll walk away with a big pay off'. The hypocrisy is staggering. For the life of me I can't see why Bruce has been afforded this view that he was hard done by.

  9. Watch Neville's body language in the last 5 minutes of this. He's so fucking uncomfortable when faced with the prospect of having to criticise his friends. Souness is spot on, basically saying I'm offering up my idea of a solution and you're just knocking it down, but SOMETHING has to change, and Neville is squirming in his seat because the only answer to what is wrong at Man United is that his real life friends aren't up to the task. This is how you end up with these situations where an objectively poor manager like Steve Bruce can't be criticised.

  16. 5 minutes on social media and you’ll see a considerable amount of people saying the hope Ole dies, hope he gets cancer etc I’ve even seen some trying to get #oledie trending, that’s about as bad as it can get really so aye there’s absolutely no chance Bruce got it worse it’s just complete media bullshit. Bruce got the same treatment as any failing manager, which considering the way he tortured the fan base with his comments in pressers was more than fair it could have been a whole lot worse imo (as seen by the treatment he got from mackems and Villa fans)

  18. I am not sure about Fonseca. I don't know him to much, but I can tell some things about him. I think he is a coach that need time to built his team and not to get good results inmediatly. And we need to win since next match. Fonseca did very well with small teams in Portugal with 0 pressure. In his first experience, in Second Level of Portugal League, he ended the League in 3rd position with Deportivo Aves, a team that should be top5 or top6. Ok. Is good. Well done. In his second experience, he ended in third position with Paços... A team that should be fight in the bottom of the league. Veeery Well. This team was so smart. Playing defensive football, not conceding in the back and doing so well the counterattack. This performance made him to sign with Porto... And he not convince. Bad in League, Cups and Europe, he had a very good team, with Jackson, Quintero, Quaresma, James, Fernando, Danilo, Hector Herrera, Varela, Alex Sandro, Otamendi... He was eliminated in Champions in groups and was fired when he was third in League. Come back with Paços and did well. He discovered Diogo Jota this year playing the end of the season and ending in half of the table. Again, a new experience with a better team. Braga, probably the fourth of the country behind Portp, Benfica and Sporting. And he did very well. He won the half of the matches this season. He won the Cup, ended the season in 4th and QuartersFinals in Europa League. With Shakthar is not easy to evaluate because Shakthar is by far the best team in the country. In the Ukranian Championship he did very well. Three leagues and three cups in three years. But not in Europe. First year, a bad Europa League, being eliminated by Celta. Second, good performance, getting 12 points in Group Stage and later downing by Roma. Third, bad again, being 3rd in Group Stage and losing later in Europa League against Frankfurt. In Roma, he was correct in League in first year (5th, but not have a squad for more) and correct in Cups, being defeted by Juventus and Sevilla. But second he ended in 7th and the squad was for more. He had lots of personal problems with Dzeko and bad relationship with the players. I am not sure about him. He have never getting a team in the middle of the season. Not experienced in this kind of situation. He need more time to work and this team needs to win inmediatly. Hehave done very well with bad squads, and very bad with strong squads. He have played almost his all career with 4-4-2 formation, and 3-4-2-1 in Rome. And this team need to sign better defenses to play with 4 in the back.

  19. I'd like to do it tbf. But it's a one way ticket to becoming a fat bastard. I'd also be one of those who would overtake another lorry on a two lane motorway if it was going half of a mph slower than me.

  24. Murphy was also saying, in regards to Solksjaer, that at the end of the day the manager bears responsibility for the way the players play, their tempo, attitude, application etc., and the stats concerning efforts on goal, goals against etc. are important. Again the hypocrisy when comparing their comments about Bruce, to their ones about McCarthy and Solksjaer is ridiculous. It's got to the point where I think it's possible that Bruce runs a knocking shop on the quiet, and has compromising videos and photos on various figures in the football world Jeffrey Epstein style.

  27. The best bit is him saying he won’t comment on work he hadn’t seen. Like the coaches at Man Utd can’t be criticised by him because he wasn’t in attendance at the training sessions. Like you’re saying, that’s what you’re being paid to do as a pundit, ie provide some analysis. Not state the fucking obvious
