For those of you debating, there was no delay to treatment and the players stopping the match made no difference as CPR was started immediately by fellow fans and one of my colleagues. A defib was there within 4 minutes of stewards alerting the medical team.8 points

Listen folks, this is what happened the last time we sacked a manager without having a successor in place ready to go….might I suggest ignoring the perfornative wankers on sky and having some patience with the people who were taken by surprise at the speed of events as much as we were the week before last?7 points

I was in there the other week. After the main course the waiter asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. I said what’s it called when they pour espresso over ice cream. He said affogato. I said I can’t remember either6 points

@catmag- so if I go to the next match and have a lie down, are you saying you and your mate will cut my top off and start pumping me? What’s the ticket office number?6 points

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham shouldn’t be able to vote on any issue which is about “brand protection” or “safeguarding the league” etc after they all tried to fuck off out of it in the not-very-fucking-distant-at-all past. Shameless cunts, the lot of them.4 points

It’s mad how many people seem to have this unbreakable bond with Steve Bruce. Imagine that’s the person you make a tit of yourself on national TV/Radio for.4 points

I’ve said before you don’t even need to do that. When you look at the fees paid in the Championship the odd one of those would pay for it. Typical of his short-sightedness. He ran the club for most of the 14 years like he was couple of months away from selling it4 points

He was a top CB in a different era. It was impossible to foresee anything but what we've seen under Bruce, terrible, directionless, unstructured, inconsistent football. The only time we played with any sort of consistency was when he regretfully resorted to playing the previous manager's formation which the players were able to do because it had been properly trained into them. Then he made a song and dance about doing it his way more than a year into his tenure. He always has an excuse at the ready or if he acknowledges an issue it's never his fault and he has never been able to resolve any of them. It's a small miracle that the team managed to get a run of results at the end of last season as the football otherwise was relegation standard. The amount of enjoyable games has dwindled to almost none, and even on the odd occasion that we win it's seldom an enjoyable affair. If we weren't run by fat Mike - who was treading water until he got the sale he wanted - he would have been moved on long ago. Of course the reality is that he's only here because of the regression of the club under his ownership. The support he gets from the media is generally condescending based on Newcastle being considered be just making up the numbers in the league and/or a misguided notion about what Newcastle supporters want. Or else it's because he's likely a reasonably amiable person outside of his professional life.4 points

We also do not have sufficient coaching staff to step in. There are hardly competent people working at youth level and for the reserves to support Jones if he was appointed care taker. The likes of Agnew et al would probably walk together with Bruce. It is just a question of time to find someone to take over.3 points

Aye it's been a week and a half. This lot are here for the long term. Let's not all shit our kegs just yet. I'm very confident Bruce will be peddled and a new manager installed as soon as is possible.3 points

We’re in a better position than we might’ve been due to the takeover happening now. If we can get a bit of momentum and improve (which shouldn’t be difficult) then it’ll make signing the right players in January easier. Having a decent manager should help in general too. Not that I think we’re going to be signing world class players. More like the sort of old heads Keegan brought in when he first took over. To be honest, even if we went down we’d still be in a better place. We were going down anyway in my opinion and with Ashley still owning the club I’d be amazed if we found it as easy as the last two times given the likely circumstances3 points

Ashley would rather blow a million in the casino than give 1% of that to a good cause. I would also guess the Xmas meal for players, coaching staff etc is no longer going to be 3 courses for a tenner at Sambuca’s3 points

Completely agree Howay. When Bruce was appointed, we all knew he would be dog shit because he’s been dog shit his entire managerial career. His son is peddling the myth that if only he had the players and resources, we’d be vaulting up the table. His record shows otherwise, every team he manages gets worse over time and typically ends in the sack or a sudden departure. As Howay says, he’s worked with some of these players for a long time now and they look terrible because they cant do the basics well. Then he goes on television and slags them off. He can’t even get the defence organised, which is astounding given he was a top class CB. He belongs to another era, whatever methods and tactics hes using (and I’m being kind here) don’t work and he adds nothing. Worse than that, his ego is so big and he’s so thin skinned he just gets in the way. If he was an officer in the army, his men would’ve shot him in the back by now.3 points

They're the opinions of people who watch us once in a while and haven't seen the consistent downward trend of the players while hes been in charge. Of course they look like Championship players, I absolutely agree with that opinion, but why do they look like championship players? Probably because the coaching and management is shit.3 points

Apparently Rooney is interested in the Newcastle job 😂 What a fucking embarrassment if he's had his agent float that to the media. Then again given he's literally famous for shagging grannies, and getting taken a hand of by wannabe wags after getting paralytic, it appears self awareness isn't something he has a lot of.2 points

Would be an easy signing, even if it was a loan, to improve us. I’m sorry like but I’d be hard pressed to imagine a team with Wilson, Saint-Maximin, Willock and Lingard going down if they had a half-decent coach working with them. Providing a couple of defenders come in with him2 points

Aye. Ashley was a spiteful idiot tbh. A £10m training ground/academy investment would pay for itself twice over (at least) if it produced one premier league quality English player. 14 years of brainlessness .2 points

Decided that we should sign Adama Traore because him on the right and ASM on the left would be absolute chaos but would be worth it for the 3 games a season where they both turned it on at the same time and we would muller someone 7-02 points

If you want to see how little of a Newcastle supporter Cabbage is, and how big of a Man U fan he is, just go watch his Sky punditry for the 5-0 match back in 96. The cunt was spitting feathers at full time.2 points
