I don't agree, he was average twenty years ago, he was shite ten years ago, he's a fucking abortion of a manager now.6 points

Half-nine? That’s generous. He’s got a Mon-Fri breakfast order from Kamil’s Kebab Emporium to deliver at 10:00am sharp ( ish). Demolish that, quick fag and a pint, then a “morning” shite won’t see him rocking up til 11:00 at best.5 points

You can see Bruce having the best of intentions this week. Dreaming about getting to the training ground early with a new found optimism, only to wake up at half nine, still half cut and sending a WhatsApp message telling everyone to take the day off5 points

Just when it seemed you couldn’t appear more tragic, the takeover happened5 points

Guaranteed the twat will be getting pre-emptive excuses in for Sunday, "the takeover is great for the club but the uncertainty about the manager position has made my preparation difficult" etc etc4 points

I personally am looking forward to him having to endure a press conference where every question is basically "You do know you're about to lose your job though, right?". I might watch my first NUFC press conference in years.4 points

Tarbuck changed career from comedian to Professional Scouser about 50 years ago. He’ll probably send a cardboard cutout of himself to his own funeral.4 points

It's not really a threat though is it? I'm not for one moment condonding what that tosser said, but what he's actually done is said that if you belive what you've suggested the Saudi's have done to journalists, you should be careful what you say or they might do it to you. I mean this kid who's probably sat in his mams bedroom has absolutely no say in what they do so he can't influence anyone to kill a reporter. Yes he's a prick and should probably get a twitter ban, and yes despite Edwards being a prick, he shouldn't be getting shit like this. But to suggest that there's been a death threat a definitely pushing it.4 points

Where’s the statement, Staveley? And Fish, you’re about 2 posts away from convincing yourself he should get the job for the rest of the season4 points

I'll give that a go cheers. Nevin's is actually decent. Finished it this morning. He's a proper lefty. The bit where he claims that black blokes would see him on the tube and mouth "respect" for his stands against racism in the 80s sounded a bit much though. Alright Soul Man.4 points

Also, having your appearance ripped by Ray fucking Parlour must sting a bit.4 points

Apparently expecting the Man City job when Pep leaves. Will need an even bigger portrait if that happens (or perhaps already needs one for making that assumption).4 points

“had a hard time preparing for this one, everyone wanting to know what was going on so I said to the lads take most the week off we will figure it out on Sunday, who knew that would have resulted in a 5-0 loss”3 points

Even Jones by himself and the players playing with a morale boost would be a considerable improvement on Bruce. He’s so miserable about the club and our chances I’m surprised the players are motivated to get out of bed.3 points

To be fair to fish he was “zen” the last couple of times we were relegated. Namaste 🙏3 points

I’d still tell him to fuck off and let Jones take the next game or two3 points

I actually think England could’ve done better (the World Cup came too early) and win the Euros with a braver / better manager in the final. Equally a lot of managers wouldn’t have done as well. Either way I put him in the category of being a good fit for the current England setup rather than being someone who could do well in a high profile club job.3 points
-
I think he’s got a very good set of players with England atm. I still think he’s done pretty well though, although he’s still struggling to get the balance right between defence and attack. But the players seem to have his respect which is clearly very important. Either way, international and club management are very different. He’s already shown he’s struggled at club level. Ray Parlour, on the other hand, looks like he’ll still stink of a combination of Brut 33 and Lynx Africa at tea time3 points
-
The other thing is, and no one on here would condone the death threats, that he does seem to go out of his way to wind up a large proportion of the fan base. They’re almost certainly empty threats anyway and he’ll try and use them to his advantage. He’s a fucking strange one like. I think a lot of his behaviour stems from his wanting to look like he knows everything going on behind the scenes. In reality he’s relied on what Bruce knows. The latter being seemingly largely disinterested in the takeover and unable to comprehend what crumbs of info he got from Penfold and Ashley. And Edwards was even saying in the wake of the court hearing that separation between PIF and the state was still a huge stumbling block, so he clearly didn’t have the inside track even in the last couple of weeks3 points

Sad to say but it is honestly non-news. At this point I feel like you're in the minority on the internet if you haven't had someone threaten to kill you or tell you to kill yourself. Its something that is worth having something done about it, but its presence online isn't remarkable anymore tbh. Its like the tea towels and Saudi flags being pointed out as "Newcastle fans" behaving terribly or whatever, completely bypassing the fact that there has never been a decent sized gathering of people that hasn't had some of those people being sort of stupid in some way and when you choose to lump "Newcastle fans" or whatever together when you point that out you are setting up for nothing but defensiveness and a subsection leaning hard the other way, hence some of our fans actually going as far as waving the flags and defending the Saudi state etc. For all those commenting on the state of the takeover, or the state of us, they know this really and the smart ones choose to ignore it for views, or retweets or clout or whatever and it simply doesn't occur to the stupid tribal ones who actually don't care about Saudi womens rights but heard someone say it and want to beat opposing fans with something out of fairly normal football tribalism. All of its just a load of horseshit, not one bit of coverage that has been in that vein has been remotely interesting or worth anything more than being batted away like Michael Martin did to Nicky Campbell the other day. Bloody hell I've perhaps become a bit cynical3 points

14 years of mismanagement and neglect. When Ashley bought the club, CT was in his late 40s. He's nearly mid 60s now. If he'd hired a new life coach this time last week, they would quite rightly still be stood, mouth agape, one hand on one hip, the other hand on their forehead, just surveying the wreckage and trying to make sense of it all. It's the same with the club.3 points

He's popular with the players because they're never in fucking work. They're in for a nuclear shock as soon as they get a decent manager in.2 points

Ah nah. Fuck Bruce, the miserable prick2 points

My worry with Southgate is that he’s going to stick with Rice-Phillips and while that’s not a bad thing, he’s not going to put Alexander-Arnold in at right back which is the obvious issue to the lopsided balance at the full backs. They rely on the left side too much because he’s obsessed with having Walker do his defending rather than bombing on whereas Rice and Phillips should be filling those gaps left by TAA and Shaw2 points

I can't get away with Southgate at all and don't particularly rate him as a manager either. Wyki's tale = confirmation. ☑️2 points
