  1. No, he's just going to stick to the rivers and the lakes that he's used to.

  2. I’m fairly sure we’ve also registered 4 goalkeepers, and he has registered Matty Longstaff who he doesn’t play or seem to rate. I struggle to believe we couldn’t offload Gillespie or Darlow and loan Matty out to a championship side, I question the level of interest in doing so as this way we use this as an excuse and just don’t bother improving the squad. Most other PL clubs clearly carry unregistered players btw, if we had to carry Matty and Gillespie for 6-12 month while trying to offload in order to improve the team that wouldn’t be a crippling cost ffs. This is the frustration, I don’t mind us being poor but could we at least give the fucking semblance of trying? Having to watch the worst manager in the league make constant fucking excuses on why having a 4th registered keeper who makes maybe £4K a week is what prevents us from improving our side is so fucking tedious. I see no way we stay up this season tbh, I know it’s early doors but as HMHM pointed out we’re playing our best 11 and still offering way less than last year, couple that with the squad clearly being unprepared and lacking fitness. Ashley is such a fucking parasite, if he wants to be a tight cunt and not invest in the squad he can get away with it but to do so he needs to pay a manager that can get something out of a squad, Bruce gets nothing additional out of players in fact I can’t point to a single player who has improved under his tenure.

  3. So if Willock had turned us down, we’d have had space for precisely one player? Bruce has regressed these players so much that nobody will even bid for them

  6. With what I've seen of Woodman so far I wouldn't be in a hurry to sell any of our other keepers. I've seen vampires who are less afraid of crosses.

  8. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by hung up? I think our support is fractured, possibly to the point of it being beyond repair, but I hope not. we've got thousands who probably share my views and who've walked away. we've got thousands who probably share my views but remain. we've got thousands who probably think mike ashley is doing a good job and saved us from financial oblivion. we've got thousands who've jumped on the opportunity for a free ticket to provide a backdrop for keith bishop's crisis management pr exercise. we've got thousands who tolerate steve bruce. we're all co-exsisting but it's not particularly harmonious or even healthy is it? I feel angry, bitter, resentful but mostly saddened that ashley has managed to achieve this. does that mean hung up? I've no love for leeds united but I quite enjoyed reading this article on the bbc the other day... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58294478 as it stands we've had 14 years of ashley's football purgatory with no real sign it's about to end any time soon and if I held my hand on my heart I'd rather we replicated leeds and ashley lose tens of millions on his version of nufc then profit by even by more by selling to the saudis. it's what he deserves. we'd bounce back as leeds have and maybe then like them our support would be united and have some hope? it's fucking tragic.

  10. Setting aside the wage aspect, he can't be arsed at Everton. If he's moved on it will be because Rafa doesn't want him based on attitude and not ability. Not someone we should even consider.

  15. Steve Bruce @ Villa Park. 2021. " We trained all week in dry conditions and today at Villa Park the rain was very wet which we didnt prepare for" There's a revelation "the rain was very wet" Fuck off man.

  16. Just about every time our form has picked up slightly under Bruce, there’s always been the sense that the players have managed to galvanise themselves. Can’t imagine they have it in them to do it again, especially when the likes of Ritchie and Lascelles are clearly worse than they were a couple of seasons ago.

  21. I think perhaps essembee used only the wrong word in 'success' 'acceptable' would be more appropriate judging by the amount of folk who seem happy enough to facilitate ashley running the club like a branch of woolworths in its death throes.

  26. VAR can pinpoint the exact moment the ball leaves the foot and create a mm accurate line across the field to determine that Wilson is a smidgen in front of the defender, but it's unrealistic to expect that it could see that Murphy cleanly kicked the ball last week despite the conclusive video evidence. Sounds about right.

  27. There’s absolutely nothing about us as a side tbh. This Villa team is fucking rank and probably the best side we can put out can’t lay a glove on them, it seems the rancid cunts luck will finally run out this season. This will be no points from two games we absolutely should be getting points from if we want to stay up.

  34. Aye he’s such a self absorbed prick. If he wants to know why he gets abuse it’s a mix of being fucking shit at his job, and coming out with absolute fucking bollocks in basically every presser which typically involves slating the club or the fan base.

  36. It's a shame Foakes injured himself or I think there'd be a strong posibility he'd be in the team now. He's about the only batsman who's come in to the team in the last five years who actually looks like a test player.
