If you haven't already, start contributing even a small amount monthly to the 1892 pledge because they way things are going it's going to help save the club in a few years time when we're at the mackem's stage. It doesn't have to be this way and it's easily avoided but as a wise man once said, if you keep poking a tiger with a stick it'll bite you and Ashley's gambles don't always pay off for him. If two of the promoted clubs come up full of spunk for their first year up we're in serious trouble as there's only Leeds from last year who were newly promoted and I think they'll be ok for the 2nd season syndrome. Again, we're going to have get ahead of the likes of Brighton etc and hope at least two of the promoted teams struggle. Bored shitless with it and you try to not let it bother you but it does. Imagine going into a new season with a bit of enthusiasm and hope? It's been far, far too long we've experienced it. Seeing the shit in the past and then seeing us realise our potential just to get into this fucking clip through the spiv who owns us is heartbreaking for anyone with a love of our club.7 points

Spot on, the same people screaming sports washing at Saudi Arabia are helping Qatar with their own brand of it. They’re as bad as each other, do these people honestly think Qatar just sits on its hands doing fuck all to Saudi Arabia? As that’s the way it’s often portrayed which is exactly what Qatar wants. Saudi Arabia are probably the biggest and the baddest, but they’re kidding themselves if they honestly want to act like the ruling families in the other surrounding countries are shining beacons of humanity. Like you say, I’m all for a higher standard being applied but then we need to deal with the heavy ties to Qatar, UAE, and Russian mobsters at the top of the game just as much as blocking Saudi Arabia. We’re going to now act aghast at this type of phone hacking, yet when Liverpool did it to Manchester City’s scouting system it was largely met with a collective shrug. Of course there’s a part of me that would absolutely love this lot to come in and blow through fortunes getting NUFC to the top of the game, but more of me wants fucking rid of Mike Ashley and that’s what’s getting completely lost on a lot of these arseholes who constantly have pops at the fan base. Meanwhile we have to sit and watch Manchester United fans get applauded for storming their ground and getting a game cancelled before their owners buy Jadon Sancho and give Rafael Varane 500k a week. If these guys want to talk morals and fairness that’s fine, so let’s level the playing field and introduce hard caps on yearly salary and transfer spends, spread the TV money through the entire pyramid so that the lowest levels of the game don’t have to struggle financially all the time, that’s not what they want though they just want the current clubs at the top to remain there while they shrug and trot out lazy stereotypes about the rest of the teams. Until there’s some type of fair reporting on the fucking horrors committed by Qatar, and all the fucking shit that they do behind the curtain, it’s not fair of them to attack NUFC fans who want a deal with SA to happen.5 points

She seemed genuinely surprised by some of the shit he came out with....despite plainly being his national mouthpiece for some time. I certainly don't hate her or anything but she's a massively conflicted figure whether she or others in the media wish to accept that or not. She's one of the reasons the BBC is in trouble. When the tories got into power and and started to put the thumbscrews on BBC news would've been better to go down fighting rather than roll over and take it dry.... Cummings has spent a decade making sure lying is a natural as breathing in government. Now he's all "OMG THESE DREADFUL PEOPLE I EMPOWERED!!!" he can frankly go and fuck off and die in a skip. He's responsible for where we are. MPs can act with near impunity and only get a slap on the wrist. He can send Rees Mogg off to Scotland to lie to the Queen's face about the poroguing of Parliament. Hes destroyed objective truth being part of government.5 points

Good on her for being robust now that he's out of power after mindlessly parroting his message during the time he was in No.10.5 points

I wouldn’t shed a tear if the takeover was rejected in a just process because of the horrendous abuse of human rights and the rule of law in Saudi Arabia. But the whitewashing and favourable treatment Qatar and bein are getting by some “impartial” journalists is ridiculous. It’s a state that has a horrendous record of abusing human rights and the rule of law itself. Winning the rights to host the world cup in 2022 is down to bribery and a matter of investigations by the US department of justice. Their exercise of commercial rights is part of a broad political agenda with bein sports being a spin off of Al Jazeera to further Qatar’s reputation. No wonder that the chairman is not just the president of PSG but does also hold a position as minister.3 points

Sneaky kid free night away with the Mrs. Started the day in Stokesly, then afternoon in Whitby, bit of shopping in Thirsk, waved at @Alex passing through Hemsley and now sitting in a gorgeous hotel beer garden in Pately Bridge. Back home tomorrow via swaledale and Wensleydale while keeping an eye out for @Dr Gloom on another stag do. Obviously a bit pissed but will do my best to “fuck off” ASAP. However might be drinking late and looking for the odd meteor in the sky so can’t promise.2 points

I honestly never had many problems with estate agents until I moved to London, the ones there are a different breed. It’s a massive relief to be able to say I’m never moving again like. The only movement I will be doing is outwards as I slowly expand into the atmosphere from rich food and wine. Good luck with your move mate.2 points

We're just gearing up for a move to another rental place, because we're not ready to leave London yet but we definitely can't afford to buy the kind of thing we'd want here either. I'm happy to report that most estate agents and a good handful of removal companies are still cunts. Very much looking forward to moving into a place of our own in a few years, getting set up and not fucking moving a muscle again until the merciful release of death.2 points

We're having a Q&A about returning to the office (phased, no pressure) and some stupid twat has asked how soon can we have a huge piss-up to celebrate the return. Far too polite a reply from the head cheese.1 point

I know mate, I don't think for one second n.u.s.t. would hand over money to ashley or that anybody would've contributed to a pledge thinking that was a possibility. was just a general feeling that supporters on the whole are taken for granted by football club owners (ours in particular) and that fan involvement in clubs is viewed as a token gesture, whether they've paid for it or been given it voluntarily. or at least that was the case. it really upsets me stating this but, I have nothing other than admiration for what man utd supporters achieved a couple of months ago through direct action. they managed to get abandoned arguably the biggest fixture in world club football. it had a huge impact media wise and very probably with the glazers too. I don't expect for a second n.u.s.t. to incite a riot, however I'll hold my hands up and admit I'd love too see something happen spontaneously along similar lines for our opening game next season. if master's and his mates want to take the piss out of us for getting on 18 months, then we can take the piss out of a televised premier league game too. I might be being overly nostalgic about 70s/80s newcastle support here but I honestly don't think that generation would've accepted being fucked about in the manner we have like this generation seem resigned to. it makes feel really rather sad.1 point

agree largely with both the above posts. my gripe with n.u.s.t. is I believe they need to be more militant. while the share scheme might be a reasonable idea I think it's almost certainly doomed to failure and more so that if we're likely to be stuck with ashley I reckon the fat cunt would relish its success. I'm sure he'd be rubbing his hands with glee at the prospect of being handed over £6m to completely ignore any input from a supporters group. as it stands I'd be much happier to see money spent on four stand size banners highlighting premier league/big six corruption for the opening game against west ham. the gallowgate covered with the face of masters stating his wish to see charity, then, no comment, no, comment, decline to comment. maybe the leazes with masters face and then the comment 'the six clubs have agreed a voluntary contribution of £20m for plotting to destroy the football pyramid. that sort of stuff.1 point

I honestly think we will go down this season if we don’t get any players in. Would be a lot easier for the sale to go through if we were a championship club and if the buyers were still interested1 point

When your entire is based on poking round other people’s shit, it’s never going to end well. I fucking despise these kinds of pseudo-science charlatans, mind- they couldn’t give a fuck how many people they harm or give false hope to, so long as they get their money out of them.1 point
