£3.5m received in compensation for pardew. £6.5m stumped up for bacon boy. £40m paid for somebody who probably isn't even a footballer. honestly man you couldn't even make this shite up. ashley and charnley must be up to their necks in some kind of dirty money laundering scam. there's cunts out there selling crack cocaine outside school gates who could rightfully claim to be handling cleaner cash than our two morally bankrupt halfwits.4 points

The most animated debate on here for months has been over which of Yedlin or Manquillo is the least shite. This is where we are as a football club in 2021.4 points

I’d hope so tbh otherwise all hope for that town is lost. I’ve no idea what they’ve won but they must surely know we won’t be bothered right? The same as we don’t count things like winning the Championship title, or the Intertoto cup, they’re not relevant trophies ffs. Then again this is the same fan base that were buzzing they knocked our U23 team out with their senior squad, and counted youth team and women’s team wins towards their “7 in a row marrrrraaass” nonsense, so maybe they do think we’d care. Personally, I’d like to congratulate them, I can genuinely say I hope they get the privilege of competing to win whatever this cup was for the rest of their history. The 9th story featured down the BBC football home page is massive for a club like them.3 points

His latest argument was that historically Newcastle did better when they didn’t sack the manager. It is not about serious journalism anymore but just trying to find reasons to stick up for a mate.2 points

To be fair to Yedlin and Manquillo, Cafu never had to play under Steve Bruce.2 points

Amazing fight that, incredible that it actually went three rounds tbh. Genuinely a bit gutted to hear he’s died, he was a gent. I remember watching him destroy Alan Minter, (and then the disgraceful scenes afterwards). RIP2 points

People must see a different Manquillo to me, which is fair enough. Anytime I watch him play he’s constantly out of position which usually results in the attacker getting a free cross, or Manquillo being booked after he grabs the attacker. I think Yedlin is shite, it’s just he has top level pace so it occasionally could make up for his shit positioning or create some counter attack. Manquillo’s positioning was maybe better under Rafa when it was drilled into him, but he was still a walking free kick from what I recall, and as Bruce is closer to our usual standard of manager under fat tits I’d say it’s moot anyway. I’m not really sold on how you could see Manquillo as clearly far and away better attacking wise than Yedlin either tbh, the bloke can’t cross to save his life, not that Yedlin can but I wouldn’t say one is clearly better than the other. Fwiw I’d prefer neither of them at the club, we should have improved on them years ago.2 points

Manquillo is a better footballer no doubt, but that said there is no susbstitute for pace. If I was picking between the two of them fully fit in the current team (if Yedlin was still here) it'd be Manquillo every time. It's not that I think he's particularly good, but he's easily the superior defender of the two even considering Yedlin's pace and the benefit that gives to defending counter attacks. Seriously though, the level of players we're forced to have conversations about is a disgrace. We'd be better off having a thinner squad of better players (and actually giving some kids a chance) than the middling lot we have.2 points

I haven't watched any football since Friday night's abortion but a quick glance at rtg and I'm apparently.....checks notes...... crying into my gravy and my Sunday has been ruined just like Adam Johnson ruined my Christmas. (I wonder if the normal ones on there cringe at some of the patter?)1 point

Pretty sure the Papa John dude in the US had to resign after he was caught being an awful racist, so it's fitting for them somehow.1 point

We’ve definitely improved over the past few games but still looked second best in everyone of those games. When Wilson returns I expect him to ready for the fight,Almiron will still run around but probably be ineffective against the top sides and The Saint.....possibly, when he receives the ball in the opposition half, which we won’t be in very often against the top sides.Krafth or Manquillo to keep it tight at the back ??? Lascelles sticking with his man in the centre of defence ???? Shelvey holding the fort in midfield???? Useless Joe playing in any game ???? The future doesn’t look bright.1 point

If we don't win against Brighton and then subsequently don't sack Bruce immediately, we're down. If we win against Brighton with hopefully ASM, Almiron and Wilson all back after the international break we might be OK, even with the cabbage in charge.1 point

Another nail in the coffin today. Southampton are lucky they are on 33pts because they look atrocious without Ings in the side, and even he was a bit out of form before he got injured again. They'll probably scrape six points from somewhere in nine games though. We on the other hand face the six pointers of all six pointers, you know until we play Fulham last game of the season, against Brighton next week. Hard to see where the inspiration is going to come from, you know apart from Murphy 😉 Almiron can't do it all on his own if he's back either.1 point

Also has bitch boy Edwards still got any tables that try to show Bruce is doing a better job than Benitez? Or has he finally given up on the FUCKING RIDICULOUS argument of implying the second worst manager in the PL era is better than a league and CL winning manager?1 point

Sorry like but I have to laugh. It’s just fucking incredible that basically every Newcastle fan could see this is where hiring Bruce would lead us, and despite how ridiculously fluky as fuck our good runs were we were told we were idiots and just didn’t understand football. What a fucking joke. It’s too late now to sack the cunt too, may as keep the punchable prick so Ashley can save whatever absurd amount of money he had written into Bruce’s contract that incentivized failure so we can spend it on whatever Krafth/Joelinton level talent we have lined up.1 point

He’s as much an embarrassment to his profession as Bruce is to football management, so I suppose it’s apt this is the hill he is choosing to die on.1 point

Yedlin did a job in the championship but he is an athlete, not a footballer. Manquillo is the sort of bits and pieces squad players you wouldn’t mind coming in as 4th choice. Says everything about our squad that he’s our best option at right bank1 point

Even when he's been managing in the Championship his win record is shite 😣1 point

So which is it? Are you pointlessly pretending I seriously compared him to Cafu, or perhaps your comprehension is just that bad, or are you criticising me for saying he was above average in the attacking third, for a full back obviously.1 point
