James Holland & Al Murray’s “We have ways of making you talk” is a decent listen. or @The Fish’s “How Comic book films AREN’T for nerds and I know more about football formations than you!” Should have a new episode out soon.4 points

I would just wait for @The Fishto recommend something and then listen to everything else4 points

First NUFC shirt I had was a black and white one and my mother sewed on the badge herself. (Bought from Parrish's on Shields Road).3 points

Anyone else have this top (Bukta)? Think it might’ve been the last one before the Umbro one with the new NUFC style badge3 points

That must’ve been the first Newcastle kit I had. I remember the shorts being made of proper stiff unyielding (and uncomfortable) material. I loved the Umbro kits after that including the silver away kits. I had the Umbro tracksuit too2 points

It's becoming like the republicans - an alliance of the very rich and uncaring well off, white uneducated men and pensioners make up their base now.2 points

I used to get the cold sweats standing at the cinema at the Metro centre wondering if I could recognise them.2 points

Aye, we’re not going to be challenging for the title under Ashley but a progressive manager with £100m+ to spend over the last couple of seasons would at least have seen us playing in the top half of the table. Instead we’re once again in a relegation battle.2 points
-
He's perhaps not the sharpest tool in the shed old Quinny, but he's generally right about what should happen with the club. The more reasonable voices from people within the game the better.2 points

I reckon we will (do worse)2 points

So, what you’re saying here is that Bruce is doing a great job, and it’s not his fault. 😉1 point

So the pundits’ verdict (Redknapp and Darren Bent) is that he doesn’t have the players, doesn’t have the academy, there was no plan or tactics, the players weren’t playing, nothing will change until there’s a takeover but Bruce is in no way at fault. Fuck off.1 point

What can fans of a team who have been outside them PL for just two seasons since the early 90’s expect though?1 point

Ashley hasn’t shown a fuckin scintilla of respect to the club in 13 bastard years, but Bruce demands it from all quarters because...well, he’s big on respect isn’t he? Ask Sheffield Wednesday, Palace etc etc..1 point
-
“Some of it is unbelievable (Press coverage) and maybe people need to change and give the club a little bit of respect rather than always being negative.” What a fucking whopper Bruce is.1 point

I can’t bring myself to watch it. However, if it’s full of irredeemable cunts then they at least got that bit right.1 point

Too many ex-footballers,now pundits, believe they’re the stars of the show. They know best.Buffoons like Chapman on MOTD act so clueless,it has to be the way they’ve been told to act.’ You are the ex-footballer,I’ve never played the game,so what did happen’. What the new fashion is for ex-footballers to wear,he wears the week after. He looks a right prick when he wears those white soled shoes.Prick.1 point

It’s hard keeping up with the Jones.1 point

He was yeah, he was replaced by Jones. Jones was there before Jones was too. I’m a quarter Jones on my paternal grandmothers side, so it’s nice for the family1 point

There are gobshites on here who can talk more insightfully about football than Robbie Savage. Not you though.1 point
-
What they should be doing is giving the layman actual insight. Carragher and Neville on MNF are usually good for this. They break down key passages of play, or trends that may not have been obvious to the fan. When they show the way the Leeds team were breaking in such a similar way each time it was almost like a set piece, that was good insight and something that was probably missed. That's the role of a pundit, for me.1 point
