He has subsequently learned that Bruce is from a good family so it’s okay.2 points

had completely forgotten this '04 honda cr85 existed. was a bike my son bought and ran into the ground and had been dumped in the shed at the bottom of the garden about 4 years ago. the ivy had overgrown it and the roof collapsed on the bloody thing so it took some pulling out! anyway, in a futile attempt to curb me alcohol consumption during lockdown i decided to bring it back to life. about £300 and several months later it's had new piston and ring, new bearings on crank, throughout gearbox and waterpump, all engine seals. new sprockets and chain, new swinging arm bushes, new wheel bearings and seals, new fork seals and oil and new brake fluid.... oh and most important of all... the grotesque 'ashley' graphics on the side panels have gone! it started 3rd kick and sounds like a fucking demented wasp! might need a bit of fine tuning on the carb, once i can get it somewhere to ride it. it's got fun written all over it i reckon! next project... design and make a frame to mount it on the back doors of the van!1 point

To be fair to Carroll, ...... nope I’ve got nothing. iirc the gossip about him was that he’s a pisshead who doesn’t look after his diet or his fitness. Add that to his appalling injury record and you have to wonder why on earth he was offered an extension. Maybe hes a leader in the treatment room....1 point

So this is going to be the week when Mike Ashley can rightly say he is getting the hang of this football lark. One member of 90’s one hit wonder Hanson already through the door, Andy Carroll setting foot on a training pitch, and rumours of getting some more loans in.1 point

I wasn’t a fan of giving him a contract on the first place but I could see the logic. Having given him a chance to prove his fitness and him not really doing that giving him another year is fucking ridiculous. So, of course, we’ve done it1 point

He's barely playing into his early 30's man. On the rare occasions that he does play these days he looks a shadow of what he was. If he wasn't here he'd have retired now I reckon.1 point

I couldn't help start reading the reviews on there. Who takes their time to write a review on this ?!?1 point

If he can keep himself fit he is the type of player that could play into his late 30s. Not saying that's at the top level but it doesn't really matter if he loses half a yard of pace as it would to other players. Thats completely neglecting he is made of glass of course.1 point

Had a look following your recommendation as I loved The Far Corner and he’s wrote two award winning cricket books but Slipless in Settle was the only one I previously knew about1 point

I'm on my mini road trip of Scotland right now, heading to the exciting metropolitan border city of Peebles. I saw the consultant on Friday, had my fears confirmed. The next few weeks, months for me are going to be about keeping my sister comfortable and as happy as possible. As of life wasn't hard enough, I just feel so sad. One thing I will say is that covid has completely fucked up the NHS, particularly diagnostic and screening services. Anyone who need a routine screen or has developed symptoms, please get them checked out, you will have to be insistent. I don't think this would have saved my sister but it could have bought her more time and improved her quality of life. For other people, it could save their lives. Once I'm back from Scotland I will make sure I get the colonoscopy I'm due. Fortunately I love getting tubes stuck up my arse anyway.....1 point

Saying you’d end your association with the club if Bruce became manager then being his biggest fanboy when he subsequently did demonstrates that you’re consistent?1 point

Getting players on a free transfer seems a decent deal until you have to pay them more and they hang about on that contract for fucking years. See, Colback, J1 point
