After some painstaking research I’ve finally managed to pinpoint exactly when the deal went tits up10 points

So there it is, the dust has settled and we can now just continue to make up the numbers in the league and allow the top 6 to take all the trophys and money.5 points

Man city this man city that. We've had this shit for years. Yank businesses using their yank newspaper influence to print shit and set the narrative. You won't believe it because the smear campaign has gone so deep but city have been attacked by the uefa g14 clubs with all sorts of accusations, ALL based on "explosive" new evidence presented by der spiegal or the nytimes. Hacked emails doctored by reporters started the latest uefa ban. (I don't expect anyone to believe this its way beyond that) So I totally assume this is what has happened with nufc, the opposition and their media propaganda just do not want to compete with new money clubs. Fsg (and their past ownership of the nytimes), the American owners of United will have done everything to highlight whatever it takes to get this stopped. Given what city have done to upset the apple cart they just don't want more competition. I feel sorry for nufc because I fkin hate Ashley, but obviously I wanted Newcastle takeover to go ahead because its good for football, its been so much better than the days when ONLY United were allowed to win things, but most importantly it would have taken the heat off city, Soz, selfish, but we're totally sick of the cartel clubs dictating what happens.... Meanwhile United continue to have links to Saudi businesses sports investment Wtf!4 points

I’d fucking love it if the PL were taken to the cleaners over this. You’d think that there would be a case to answer given the ownership at Man City not coming under anything like the same scrutiny. I also wonder if it would be deemed legal to not have any timescale on the fit and proper test etc4 points

One of the very few local journalists to come out of this without damaging their reputation imo. Always stood firmly on the side of fans, worked to try and give the information he knew without seeking out positive or negative false information.4 points

Not making a decision, refusing to put a timeframe on the decision, imposing unreasonable conditions and then refusing to comment about it afterwards absolutely stinks of high-level corruption imo. What excuse do they have for such a lack of transparency?3 points

I know I never mention this particular grievance, but if the government really cared about people's physical health they'd have found a way to let parkrun restart by now. 200,000 people a week getting some exercise for free, thousands more getting the mental health and social benefits of volunteering - GPs even prescribe it now. But indoor gyms and the like make money whereas an outdoor volunteer-led event doesn't, so...3 points

I think the best bit is he seems to be completely inept in business terms. He’s utterly full of shit as well which they’ll lap up, as you say. He made his money off ‘flipping’ a Zimbabwean tobacco farm which he never actually owned and sold to the Chinese at an inflated price in a country where the Chinese already have a large presence, investment-wise, and would have seen this conman coming a mile off. He used the nonexistent funds to supposedly develop an energy drink which was actually started in Croatia by someone else anyway and you can’t buy it anywhere and is owned by a company with fuck all money in the bank. Add to that he’s a boxing promoter who seemingly only looks after a fat Scottish heavyweight who’s lost nearly half his fights despite never having been in with anyone of any quality. Finally, Covid-19 is a conspiracy because he doesn’t want to have to wear a mask because he can’t fit one on that goes over his manky, a decade out of date, hipster beard. I fucking hope he buys the club because you just know it’ll be done using loans secured against the club and its paltry assets if he can get anyone stupid enough to let him have the funds. It’s the least they deserve3 points

Cancelled Now TV and my contract with BT is up in September and that'll be going as well. Now TV is automated so just put in the comment box over not wanting to watch a corrupt PL. They probably won't give too much of a fuck but there you go, like the first time I chucked my ST on the desk like a disgruntled sheriff chucking his badge at the chief after he's pulled them out of the shite after I'd got a ratty reply from someone at the ticket office that I could easily be replaced, it felt briefly satisfying. *Aware that last bit was written in a similar style to the man who once wrote about the man who once sung head over heels to describe a certain Joseph Kevin Keegan.3 points

You know, we have just been shafted out of potentially the best future any football club on the planet ever had. Cheers Premier League.3 points

Like when two right nasty bastards team up to fight Spiderman (Fish can fill the blanks in). Except in this case, Spiderman is a total cunt as well.2 points

As well as the cheek of quite a few to suggest that because it is such a special club it is only a question of time until someone else will come and buy the club and make it great. We fucking had to wait 13 years for someone even agreeing a sale with the fat bastard. In the meantime almost year after year the club has been made gradually worse and shallow. They can just fuck of.2 points

Hi Markus, I too am a huge fan of Newcastle United and of ducks. I have the exact same duck but bathtime just wouldn’t be the same without it and for that reason I can’t let it go for any less than £56.45.2 points

If there’s anything that the last 13 years have taught us it’s that we should be optimistic about the future2 points

I actually wish Benitez had never come as I’d have been completely finished with professional football about 4 years earlier2 points

Excellent. After the way they went on yesterday I hope the cunts go bust & cease to exist. Is there another league one club swinging as high as them apropos “rivalry”? Most clubs realise they’re fucking shite and shut the fuck up. Ashley is the lowest ebb in our entire history and we're TWO DIVISIONS above them.2 points

I'm sure I've read somewhere that the exclusivity ended on June 25th. On or around the date that Carroll got a years extension on his contract & Manquillo gotta 4 year contract. Was it coincidence, or did Ashley know then there was no chance of this takeover happening. Same as the fun88 & Puma contracts being extended https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/manquillo-and-carroll-agree-contract-extensions/2 points

Finished Snowpiercer. It reminds me of Murder on the Orient Express. In MOTOE, there’s a murder on a train and in Snowpiercer, there’s a murder on a train2 points

If it is as Staveley says that the told them to neither approve them nor reject them then the consortium will have a strong legal case. Same applies for the timeframe of not getting a decision until the expiry date of the takeover contract. For damages they can start with the deposit the fat bastard did pocket.2 points

If you’ve got sky sports, cancel it. If they ask why, tell them. Same with BT2 points

I can’t see a way back. I guess the league will just argue that they simply did follow their procedures and that they did nothing wrong. They probably even drove to Barnard Castle to get the owners tested. Bit there will be nobody of note speak up for Newcastle and really put pressure on them. It will just fade out then,2 points

Can’t be arsed with it anymore tbh. It’s been a complete waste of time, and I dont know why the saudis would want to pursue it any further, it’s not like it’s a critical deal for the PIF. No doubt social media and the press will be full of made up nonsense and opinion but its not worth wasting any time on it imo2 points

I was talking to my mate’s son from Accrington and he said ” Sunderland , who are they?”2 points

So there was a solution to tackle piracy in a sensible way but the league preferred to force a souvereign state to accept a basically state run tv station of its enemy broadcasting there. Cunts.1 point

There's no other bidders. In the current climate they'll be wanting at least £75m off the price of the club. That fat cunt will not be doing that1 point

With Qatar facilitating sports washing via PSG, bein and staging major sports events as well as having a fantastic track record when it comes to human rights I am glad the right side won this game of geopolitics.1 point

Don't think I can go back to Ashley tbh. At least he has genuinely tried to make this happen but honestly I'm just done. There is no way the established order is ever going to let any other club properly break in and I just don't see the point in watching the same season over and over again anymore.1 point
