I can't imagine religion being the kind of thing where worshipping a hugely similar but slightly different deity would pose a problem.3 points

I saw on Twitter a bloke had bet that Lingard wouldn’t score or get an assist for the whole PL season, the bloke would have won almost £700 from a tenner but then Lingard scored in the 98th minute of the last game.2 points

The black doctor who was on that video that my mam sent me, claiming hydroxychloroquine is a covid cure.... There's a separate video of her claiming that woman can get pregnant by having "astral sex" with ghosts. She's also claimed elsewhere that doctors make medicine from alien DNA and that they're trying to make a vaccine to stop people being religious. I've let my mam know and asked if there's two sides to those discussions as well.2 points

Us and Burnley are definitely the blokes at the back of the scuffle who suddenly stop advancing when somebody stops holding us back.2 points

I think we put ourselves under too much pressure batting first in those conditions and given the small amount of practice the batsmen had. I can understand why they did it but I think it was inevitable that we'd struggle to get a score. I wouldn't expect the same type of struggles in the next series with the practice we've had with this. Could be the same for Pakistan though as they don't seem to be getting much time out in the middle.1 point

- It will be in the contract that they have to broadcast the matches. Having the rights and sitting on them wouldn’t be an option - Any court action would take place in the U.K. rather than Qatar - The Premier League has an annual turnover of £5bn. The cost of a court case won’t be a concern. - There are other bidders out there for the MENA rights including Saudi Arabia. The entire league can’t be beholden to one broadcaster, it’s ridiculous.1 point

I think there would be a legal challenge were that the case. I.e. they are self-imposed rules regarding the PL and the process rather than something based on UK or EU law. Although that’s pure speculation as I don’t have a fucking clue really. But that never stopped Luke Edwards et al1 point

Time for the sobering reality of Chris Basham. Cheap Sheffield United cast-offs who they’ll be hoping will take low wages because he’s a Geordie.1 point

Aye, Chelsea are owned by a man who was literally banned from entering the country, City are owned by a state with countless human rights issues, Wolves are owned by a Chinese company which puts them directly under the control of the Chinese government, Sheffield United are owned by a Saudi Prince, Spurs owned by a tax exile, Man Utd owned by a family who forced the club to repay their debt but suddenly when we're to be bought over that's where they draw the line? Do they think that MBS is going to instruct the first team squad to go on a preseason bombing tour of Yemen? It's a fucking joke.1 point

I was rewatching Breaking Bad and it struck me that it’s similar to Kojak, because there’s police in BB and Walter is Bald and Kojak is a bald policeman.1 point

Video doing the rounds of a bunch of "frontline doctors" stood outside the supreme court supposedly debunking covid and demanding that Fauci come clean on hydroxychloroquine. How do I know about the video? Ah just cos my mam sent it to me and told me to watch it and stop being bigoted and brainwashed.0 points
