With that voice and the way informatiom is presented by halfway through they could have introduced just about any random 'fact' and I would have believed it. "Steve Bruce, who had to this point done so well as manager of the team will be replaced by an autonomous sex robot, wanted on its own planet for crimes against the native Ewoks".6 points

It's the second tweet for me, that sums up what is wrong with British people now. Wilful ignorance due to fear of having to acknowledge their own poor judgement. It's never going to go away though, it's the new landscape. It's the blind leading the people who gouged out their own eyes.5 points

Theresa May now giving a speech about the dangers of popularism and the rise of isolationism. She's right of course, but the hypocrisy is rank. She wasn't a popular leader but she tried to be. And her only policy was literally a hard Brexit from the EU, now she's whinging about the lack of international solidarity? Fuck you May you stupid cunt. You played your part bringing us here.3 points

If it wasn’t obvious weeks ago, confirmation today that we’re being fuckin gaslighted. I think I had to look up the definition of what that actually meant about a year ago.....3 points

I think Mason's got a point - they were weak going in to it so even if sensible people were already doing it, that Friday night let all the morons show how stupid they are. Now everyone knows the cunt's going to relax it a bit on Sunday /Monday so they'll go absolutely mental on Friday.2 points

I went to my mam's to pick up some flour. Social distanced the whole time. And fuck you if you think you can stop me baking. I will do a long stretch. I had to put the radio off yesterday. Some residential home arranged to have families of residents drive past at a safe distance and wave to the residents, who sat outside having a picnic. Fuck all wrong with it, all socially distanced, old people that haven't seen their grandkids in over a month. Bunch of fucking Clipboard Clives ringing up the station talking about a "breakdown in discipline". Honestly mate, please turn the oven on and stick your head in it. Do everyone you know that courtesy. I don't know why you're here other than to be a tedious little cunt.2 points

If it was Man U you’d see articles on how Saudi Arabia is progressive and we can’t blame the fans for being excited etc etc “If the government deal with the Saudis how can we blame the average reds fan for chasing the Glazers out of the theatre of dreams for want of a better future” We've already seen Delaney calling it “cultural diversification” when it was PIF buying Man U.2 points

I haven’t. I’ve actually been social distancing for a about a week more than the rest of the country. To be fair to the bloke, I might have been tempted if I had a bit on the side like that too.2 points

I'm hoping the season doesn't finish because I'm not at all convinced that we're safe. Our form before the break was pony and without the home games with the crowd behind the team I'd be hard pushed to see us picking up many points. Luke Edwards point about Bruce having us in a position of apparent safety so that the potential buyers were still interested is fair enough. But he misses the point that we have only got there through luck. Our performances this season have been by in large dreadful and the stats back this up. We are one of the worst in the league in all of the attacking stats and if I remember rightly, our defensive stats, other that Dubravka are far from great too. He will point to the only stat of any importance being the points on the board and the position we're in, but luck and effort (I don't think that even the most 'rabid critics' would deny he has got the players working) wont keep you getting points and show that you're worthy of the job. His claim that Bruce has won over all but his most rabid critics is either completely wrong or suggesting that the majority of Newcastle fans are rabid. He says his wife and her family are all fans and he has lots of friends who are too. If all of these people are telling him that Bruce has won them over then they must come from a completely different part of Newcastle to me. Because I am yet to meet or speak to a single fan who thinks Bruce has done a good job let alone that be the majority viewpoint. And I know people who have connections to Bruce's family who still don't want him in the job. The only assumptions you can get to on this is that he has a relationship with Bruce that he wants to enhance or keep, or that he wants to wind up Newcastle fans for click bait.2 points

Aye right. “How Poch, yer on the dole at the moment in the midst of a global meltdoon, do you want a job working for the richest football club in the history of the planet? Oh aye and we’ll pay you 19 million pound a year. What you think?” “Hmm, not sure about that, can we negotiate?” Utter shite.1 point

Aye, as always in football, the simple answer is usually the right one. And you can’t argue with any of DKs post but all of those points have been articulated to Edwards dozens of times and he simply won’t have it because, as Alex says, he won’t say anything because he doesn’t want to lose his source.1 point

The point is that teams wouldn't be playing in their home cities so that risk would be reduced. Let Liverpool play in Wigan and Blackburn to discourage the scousers from attending. Let Man United play their games in Manchester to discourage the home counties cunts from attending.1 point
