I might be having a thick day but I honestly don't see any material difference in the two statements.

One thing will probably happen, whoever wins, and I very much hope it's somebody who could get labour into power, I absolutely expect there to be infighting in a way the tories seem to put to one side as they're very much a 'The king is dead, long live the king' as power means everything to them and they'd sell their granny for personal gain. Labour need to get a bit savvy very fast. The trouble is there's too many high profile social media 'activists' who won't let it lie and who put people off. Their hearts are probably in the right place at times but they need to be very much low profile from here on. They won't.

On that Phillips exit poll reaction. It was clearly a laugh of bemusement rather than amusement. If you honestly think she was delighted at a massive Tory victory then you’ve been spending too much time with the Corbyn cult. She isn’t the best candidate though. She’s everything her supporters in this thread have said but that doesn’t necessarily make a good leader. People might like what they see with her: relatable, common, takes no shit etc. but when it comes to who the public is want as PM then I think they want even a veneer of finesse. More of a Blair than a Prescott. Deputy leader would be perfect for her and would give her time to work on her image and gain experience of shadow cabinet.

Yeah but look at how we played in the second half of last season. Look at Man U’s win rate when they have over/under 50% of the ball. Possession in and of itself doesn’t always give you the best chance of winning. It has certainly been a conscious effort to sit back in games and counter when we can and that inevitably involves having less possession.
