  4. There can be no objection to allowing Corbyn to head a GNU just for long enough to get the extension over the line and call a GE, surely. Corbyn would have no power in this scenario without the consent of the others. It's a bit much saying Swinson is closer to the tories than labour mind, I really don't think that's true considering the Tories are to the right of satan currently.

  6. My patience with leave/Tory voters is spent now like. If you vote for this now, you are actively voting to harm the country by putting a serial liar and bully into power, a man who only cares about being in power and will say or do anything to get it. You are choosing to ignore all evidence of companies going under due to Brexit, all the warnings of medicine supplies, food prices, all the fucking chaos this has caused, and the harm that has been done simply because it's all anyone has been able to focus on - just so that you can say you were right and can avoid admitting that maybe, just maybe, when you voted for this you had no fucking idea what you were voting for because you're politically ignorant - something that isn't directly your fault because the Tories and right wing press designed you that way, but which is your responsibility to resolve once realised - at the expense of literally the entire country and 60 million lives.

  8. The only place it was building as an issue was the Tory party. By and large Joe public couldn’t give a monkeys until the leave campaign framed it as taking back control from Johnny Foreigner, reclaiming jobs from Poles and preventing the imminent threat of Turkish invasion

  12. She has ruled out supporting either of the main parties under their current leaders. She's also ruled out supporting Indyref2 so that puts her at odds with the SNP. She's basically alienated herself from everyone she could possibly have to work with after a GE. She appears to be a bit deluded regarding her chances of getting an overall majority.

  14. Surely it's impossible for her to do that given the Brexit stances? I do think she's otherwise far more closely aligned to them, but I really think they have to get on board with Labour in the end, somehow.

  19. Unfortunately politics isn't about good policies or making sense by and large - it's about emotive reactions to people and ideas. I think we all agree Corbyn falls short in the "good leader" stakes but it's also a matter of long held attitudes that won't change - things like demanding a leader who worships the queen and is willing to nuke millions still holds sway. That now includes brexit which is reduced to zealots on both sides and neutrals completely bored with it who want it to end anyway possible. I'm beginning to think Johnson fluking a semblance of May's deal through might not be that bad as I think there's enough room in the political statement to soften it to an acceptable level if Labour did win (I might be wrong on this).
