Probably could not have picked a worse series for him to start his test career, but you have to face them all some time. He was not that flash in the first innings against Ireland either, but got a good score in the second. I think they need to stick for the rest of the series. Then see how he goes against NZ in the winter. It needs someone else to start making good runs, to go on tour, and displace him. He needs some confidence, perhaps a dropped catch letting him off the leash, and he could go on to to be a Warner (without the punches and sandpaper).

You're right. Instead, I'll blame him for our 20 million pound winger getting two hamstring injuries in 4 weeks and our 40 million striker coming off with tight calves after every game.
