  2. You're right. Instead, I'll blame him for our 20 million pound winger getting two hamstring injuries in 4 weeks and our 40 million striker coming off with tight calves after every game.

  3. Woakes hasn't really been at his best this series so if Jimmy's fit then he would be the obvious candidate to miss out. Yes it theoretically lengthens the tail but given that the Aussies seem to know how to get Woakes out fairly easily, it probably doesn't make much difference. And the key thing will be getting Smith (and possibly Labuschagne) out so we need to give ourselves the best opportunity to do that. Id be seriously considering dropping Roy too. He's not looking close to being up to opening at test level so far. God know who you'd replace him with though. There has been some talk of moving Denly up to open again and bringing in Pope at 4. Not really sure that's much of an answer though.

  4. so, in the bottom 3 and out of a cup. back to the cathedral on the hill for an early season 6 pointer with watford. all will be well though by virtue of the fact that as a child, lifelong supporter brucey used to stand on the gallowgate and munch his way through an entire bread trays worth of tanner bags of peanuts. we can't fail but to win.

  5. Very nice moral standards from some of those who turned up to give Ashley their money to jeer Perez.

  6. Rafa has been gone five minutes and the injuries are all piling up What is it about shit English managers and not paying any attention to fitness whatsoever? They must spend 45 minutes of every session doing beep tests.

  7. Cha-lar Ser-yewnjew. Umlauts in the surname have a weird pronunciation that I can't really convey in text.

  10. He sounds like a moron tbh It was probably the greatest test innings ever by an Englishman and it contained a bit of everything. Not least because it was built on the foundations of a defensive masterclass when Stokes had to dig in and was something like 2 not out off 60-odd deliveries overnight. He only went berserk when there was little other option. The big thing being virtually no one else could have actually carried it off
