  1. That's the Chronicle repeating a lie from Mike Ashley. The detail in the BZG bid is strong and their reputation would be in shreds if the were shown to be seemingly telling lies at the behest of Ashley. We're not being sold because Ashley doesn't want to sell the club. Fuck all to do with genuine bids or not.

  3. Re-read that sentence you've just typed out and think about if it's true.

  4. Default position for talksport. Nolan can fuck off, tbh. Thanks for the memories but the club's more important than your bullshit chat.

  5. He’s an Aussie isn’t he? I’m going to remove 10 placcy Jock points if you thought he was English

  6. Same as with the Staveley bid where the club claimed that no bid was tabled but Dimon Bird said that he personally saw three formal bids.

  9. Nah, they’ll use it to say they gave £130m to Tony Pulis to spend and we have unrealistic expectations.

  10. So if we sell Longstaff on top of Perez we'll have made about £80m this summer, which has been "promised" for the kitty, plus the £50m pledged initially anyway. Should be an absolute windfall for the incoming manager. £130m to spend. And that's before we consider revenues raised from Gayle (£12m), Hayden (£10m?), Shelvey? (£10-15m)... And yet, despite this, we'll somehow manage to start the season having spend about £8m on some defender no one has ever heard of, and probably two loaned strikers. If Ashley used that money to pay off his fucking loan though, I'd take it.

  11. Tbf, he’s the sort of player Wenger would have signed after he was completely finished.

  13. Spot on. The daft part is even as an investment it’s not worth him holding at this point, we’re likely at the height of the TV money and it’s not like we’re going to become a CL team, so he may as well take his undeserved profit and fuck off. Even bleeding the club like he is isn’t worth it, he could be making a far better return if he the money elsewhere. It looks like he’s losing some of his key allies at SD, so hopefully he keeps losing power there as it might force him to finally sell us.

  14. Honestly man, what do he get out of it? We’re only going to get relegated in May & then there’s another mess for him to clean up and this time he won’t have Rafa or any decent players. Its quite clear he has no intention of selling but fuck me what sad act he is. Its like he’s leaving the Ferrari in the garage because the Fiat Punto does better miles to the Gallon. He surely can’t be having fun.

  15. Aye, so a far better appointment than Neil Redfearn will be.

  16. Fakeover/Sheikover call it what you want it's not happening. It's been used as an excuse to get rid of Rafa. Last week we were told BZG didnt want Rafa. Now we're being told actually there's no bid on the table from BZG.

  19. Saw The The last year and was quite disappionted. Especially seeing the last time I saw them in 1989 they were amazing. For a man who has been releasing material since 1980ish, Matt Johnson obviously ran out of ideas after Mind Bomb ('89) but that means live you have to endure the other 30 years of crap he's released. For those that like Broadcast and Stereolab, the new Vanishing Twin album sounds good.
