  1. It’s fucking hilarious that he regularly goes on some stupid mackem podcast to feed them more of his lies “Daint leave us Marra” should be the name of that podcast since that seems to be the only topic.

  9. Have you ever seen Mum, Renton? From the creator of Him and Her and it's similarly excellent. Low-key, character driven comedy with excellent performances.

  13. Asamoah Gyan has reversed his decision to retire and they're wondering if he'd fancy playing alongside the likes of... *googles*... Tom Flanagan? Apparently the 10 goals in 34 games is enough for him to be considered World Class, by some. Dave Cisse got more than that in his first 9 games.

  15. We could sell him for £100m and have £5m of it added to the transfer budget, then the next accounts come out and the debt to Ashley will have grown. “Well the fing is, we were havin a pwopah nawty pub lock in, I was eyeing up the laaahvly fuckin fireplace in the corner for a good old spew, when that creepy specky dry lunch Charnaz had no wonga for his round. Daahhnt worry Lee you fat slaaag oi said, I’ll just pile it on the debt. My aaahn fakin slush fund it is”

  16. Listen, it’s been possible to have good season with the current set up. There also has never been a player turning us down because of the training complex. Would Messi turn us down because of the facilities? Did that cunt Dele Alli prefer Spurs because of the training ground? See, there are enough other good reasons to reject a move here. Ambition for example.

  17. Stop talking common sense - Ashley doesn't understand the concept

  18. Ashley is fucking pathetic. How much would upgrading the training facilities cost? The club definitely generates enough to fund something like that ffs. I’ve also never understood the no players over 25 rule, I know it’s aimed at getting youngsters in cheap and selling at a profit but there are plenty of examples of players joining clubs at 26 or 27 and going for a profit later on. It’s also completely ignoring the bigger picture, Rondon helped us stay in the division which has brought in a lot of money, it’s not just about sell on price ffs.

  19. As we’ve said ad nauseam any transfer budget has to price in cost of wages whereas any player sales ignores the wages saved by the player leaving. So 50 mill is not 50 mill going towards a players purchase cost. It’s not a lot in todays market.

  25. Man City are changing from Nike to Puma for 50 million a season. When Adidas were our sponsors they refused to let Sports direct sell Some of their football shirts Chelsea I think so he threw a strop. When he wanted to change the name of SJP Adidas wanted to pay for the rights but Uncle Mike refused. Next time he will try The Debenhams Sports Direct House of Fraser Arena.

  26. Haven't the Chronicle already said this isn't the actual strip? As it happens I was at the beach in South Shields on Monday and I saw someone with that on. I can confirm that it looks as bad, if not worse when seen for real.
