  3. Lexiters are honestly worse than Tory Brexiters. I don’t believe that anyone who is a Labour MP does it for anything other than honourable reasons but the fact that the Labour leavers have completely ignored the fact that it’s going to make their constituents worse off and keep voting for Brexit is absolutely shameful.

  4. Can’t find the pet peeve thread but people calling holidays “adventures” I’d love to know how heading to the same places every other fucker does, on the same tourist guides around New York, constitutes an adventure. It’s a holiday, grow up. and now over to @wykikitoon for his scheduled whinge.

  5. Speaking of mind-blowing, the first image of an actual black hole has been released. Granted, the image itself isn’t all that amazing, but the facts behind it are proper “woah! Dude!” moments. Its 500 million, trillion km away, and is 40 billion km across. Fist Jr. was asking how big that is, so we got on astronomical distances, how massive they are etc. Ended up with him working out how far a light year is in miles, from me telling him that it takes 8 minutes for the Sun’s light to get here. ( with a few pointers from me, but he did all the work ). Aaaanyway, as big as this is, it’s still not as big as CT’s gunt.

  9. They’ve spent about £15m. They should have been promoted about a week ago. If they go up they’ll struggle, if they don’t they’ll struggle. Either way it’s gonna be funny when “The Don” is revealed to be a mere chancer.

  12. In particular, we lack leaders. May and Corbyn aren't leaders. You have people like Bridget, working class lass who made it to Oxford, who is clearly academically bright. But she goes straight into a safe seat in Sunderland with very little real life experience. I'm not sure that is a good background for leadership. It's a similar story for most MPs, including Corbyn and May. The MPs nowadays who I tend to have most time for are the ones from professions, particularly law. There's still no sign of a great leader though. Contrast this with the life experience of someone like Tusk or Merkel, who have come through true adversity and have first hand knowledge of the other side. They are much stronger leaders. Then of course we have the problem with FPtP.....

  13. Ordinarily that lack of intelligence is well hidden but we are in a perfect storm with a government beholden to morons because of their lack of majority and forced to recruit intellectual vacuums into the cabinet in order to fill the quota of leavers while shadow cabinet positions are given out purely based on their loyalty to the leader.

  14. Exactly. We never had any leverage and it was always obvious to anyone with a brain our bluff would be called. So we leave without a deal, then what? We will be forced, very quickly imo from a point of weakness, back into negotiations where the EU will be in a much stronger position to get what they want (which will certainly include all elements of the WA). This will be a national humiliation far in excess of Suez and there will be no way of hiding it. I think that's why May won't allow no deal on her watch, its her ultimate red line. Why she is now enduring this complete humiliation, which it is. What about the ERG though? Can they not see this coming? Are they too thick and caught up in beliefs of English exceptionalism? Or do they think we will be able to dump the EU completely and align ourselves with the geographically distant US, and survive the transition? Or, is it all about disaster capitalism and they really don't give a single shit about the country?

  16. It absolutely is an argument against VAR as it exists solely to enforce granular pedantry (like the handball rule) to the detriment of the actual flow of the game.

  17. So a pen was awarded against Rose last night that none of the city players claimed for and was awarded on the basis of some bullshit uefa guideline about arms being outside the silhouette of the body. Are clubs about to start playing in fuckin straight jackets for European games then because am fucked if I know where players should put their arms if that’s the criteria for a pen now, and not the 150 year old “DELIBERATE” thing you may remember from your youth. Two minutes stoppage for something that definitely, in no sane persons opinion could possibly termed “a clear and obvious error” . Can I have the first apologist please?

  18. Euro Elections it is then. And really, at this point, not reason not to proceed with a referendum. Extension until March 2020 on the cards unless the UK can approve the WA in the meantime. I don't think May is begging for any extension though, she's begging for the one that saves the Tory party. That's the one the EU will deny her. And honestly, I think that without the Cooper bill, it's possible she might have gone for no deal instead. It's a battle won for the Remainers.

  19. Hi all, Hope you are all well. Was great to see so many fans down in Wolves when we started our journey of making this documentary. Some of you may have seen, the Chronicle did a little piece on it: https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-fans-set-appear-16024035 It's going to be much different from that Netflix show from those down the road. We are still hoping to har from as many NUFC fans as possible to be a part of things. If you have any interest in being a part of what is shaping up to be a very good, interesting and unique film about football, please email us on cast@luckyreelstudios.com Everybody get involved, let's shake things up!
