I'd call it "effective." We finished 10th last season. We're going to stop up this season with some room to spare. All of this on basically no budget at all. What miracles do you expect him to work? I don't think he would have been expecting us to push for a top 6 place this season. I think he'll have been hoping to get the backing to have us comfortably in the top pushing towards about 8th. He's not daft enough to think we can push the top six without serious financial backing. I agree with those saying they think he really wants to stay but I don't think Ashley will do what's required to keep him.1 point

I once met Jonas walking down dean street. We'd just qualified for Europe and I was talking to him about that and even though his lass was rabbeting on about wanting to be away he stayed for a picture. Proper friendly bloke, loved the club. He was wearing a bright purple, felt suit with loafers. What he didn't have in goals and assists he certainly made up in graft and bollocking players for not grafting.1 point

It would seem tame now because everyone in their teens and 20s travel the world now but back then Rough Guide was class.
